🗿 What Is Oggchain?

Oggchain is a proof-of-work, EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain (Chain ID 70088) — and it's one of a kind. Most chains pick a lane: mineable or smart-contract capable, PoW or staking. Oggchain runs all of it at once — GPU-mined security, native staking rewards, and full EVM compatibility, hardcoded into the protocol itself.

Mining uses ProgPoW, a hashing algorithm built to keep block production on ordinary consumer graphics cards instead of specialized ASIC farms. The tribe mines — not the factories. And because the chain is fully EVM-compatible, existing Ethereum tooling, wallets, and Solidity contracts work with it out of the box.

$OGG is both mineable and stakeable: it pays gas, rewards miners and stakers side by side, and powers every tool built on the chain.

⚙️ Emission & Tokenomics

Oggchain uses a continuous-decay emission model — no sudden halvings. The block reward starts at 700 OGG and is multiplied by a fixed decay factor of 0.999999933042 every block. Issuance is heaviest in the early years and tapers smoothly, releasing the bulk of supply over an estimated 15–18 year horizon before settling into a long, thin tail.

OGGChain v1.0.1 has been deployed with a critical difficulty algorithm upgrade. This was the final major technical requirement before mainnet launch. Testnet is currently running and stable. Mainnet launches this weekend.

The previous Homestead formula was inherited from early Ethereum and designed for networks with thousands of miners. On a small early chain it has serious weaknesses:

- Difficulty climbs too fast when large miners join (+14.3% per fast block)
- Recovery is extremely slow when miners leave (-0.05% per slow block at 20s)
- Chain can stall for hours after hashrate drops
- No emergency protection for extended block gaps

NEW OGG DIFFICULTY ALGORITHM

We replaced it with a purpose-built algorithm for OGG:

Block target:     ~13 seconds
Up adjustment:    +8.3% per fast block  (slow climb)
Down adjustment:  -33.3% per slow block (fast recovery)
Emergency rule:   >5 min gap + diff above 1M → instant -50%
Minimum floor:    100,000 difficulty (chain never dies)

This means:
- Difficulty spikes are 40% smaller when large miners join
- Chain recovers 4x faster when miners leave
- If chain stalls for any reason it self-recovers within 5 minutes
- Safe for both early launch volatility and long-term stable mining

OGG Desktop v2.0.0 is now live.

This release brings a major update to the OGG Desktop wallet, including mining tools, improved transaction history, better stability, and builds for Windows, Linux, and macOS.

OGG Desktop is a GUI wallet and management tool for Oggchain. It allows users to create or import wallets, send and receive OGG, stake, unstake, claim rewards, track transactions, and now monitor mining activity directly from the desktop application.

Private keys remain encrypted locally on the user’s machine and do not leave the device.

4. Stability and performance improvements

Data loading has been improved and now runs more efficiently. The wallet also handles network issues better by keeping last known values instead of showing blank screens or repeated errors.

5. Desktop build improvements

Windows, Linux, and macOS builds have been improved, including better clipboard support, tray behavior, and single-instance launch handling.

6. UI polish

The dashboard has been cleaned up with better cards, OGG logo placement beside balances, an optional background glow toggle, and a more organized layout.

🔥 BIG-TIME WEEKLY CAVE UPDATE 🔥

One week in the cave. Tribe not sleeping.

Ogg tribe — a LOT has happened in the cave. In just one week:

• ⛏️ 6 mining pools — OGG is now listed on six mining pools.
• 🪓 100+ miners — Ogg crossed 100 individual miners… and we are not even on MiningPoolStats yet.
• 🌋 Full CaveSwap released — multi-wallet support, AMM swaps, liquidity pools, locking system, and CaveWatch are now LIVE. Only the bridge remains.
• 🧮 Mining calculator added — the pool now has a calculator so miners can estimate rewards better.
• 🪙 wOGG was born — wrapped OGG is here for liquidity, DEX use, and bridging.
• 🖥️ OGG Desktop upgraded — the desktop tool keeps getting stronger for the tribe.

All of this in one week. Team is busy. Team is pushing. Ogg not sleeping. 🪨


Now into some serious stuff…

After a deeper technical review of scanner sites and the Solana bridge setup, the team has made a decision: release the BSC bridge first.

Why? Ogg wants clean execution before crossing bigger waters. The Solana bridge work is complete — but there are two blockers we will not ignore:

• Mintable flag. If Ogg releases a Solana token as mintable, trackers mark it as mintable — and Solana degens do not like seeing a “mint” function in the contract.
• Vault concentration. If Ogg pre-mints the full 10.7B supply into the Solana Vault contract, security scanners may show most of the supply held by one wallet. That can spook users who do not know the mainnet setup.

That is what makes Solana tricky in this early phase.

So Ogg thinks: BSC is a good side quest — after Ogg finishes the Solana promise.

Both the Solana and Binance bridges are ready. The last step is to test, validate, and deploy on mainnet. Ogg starts this at the top of the week — so expect Ogg to march into the BNB / CZ fatherlands already next week. 🚀

Hello!

I'm using last wallet version 2.10, I have staked 2000000 coins, staking is working, but alwayd get errors like "replacement fee too low", when I want to send coins or even when "claiming rewards".

I don't know where or how o increase replacement fee, or more gass, please help.
