Anyone using ChatGPT for betting analysis?

This is cool honestly. I've not really tried it on betting, I guess I'll use ur prompt, tweak it a little, and see what d result will be.
Although, I use AI for fast information gathering, not exactly for analysis, but this makes a lot of sense tbh.

I was using Grok for a while and while I found that it didn't provide any amazing picks, it did have some decent ideas that worked more often than they didn't.  Usually always favorable odds though.  I did find that it was good at telling me things I might not have been aware of, like player injuries and things that really effect the outcome that you would need to keep up with the news to know.

That's 1 good thing about AI's, it can point out flaws and weaknesses in a system or project, help u point out oversight and possible implications, I feel they lean on pointing out flaws much more than perfection or strength. And thats a very useful tool, or maybe it's the way I do prompt my AI, don't know 🤷🏽‍♂️

But one thing I do know is that, it's not always a good idea to follow AI's output blindly, like giving it a 100% trust cause, sometimes they make mistake, I haven't seen a completely perfect system, but I know they're very useful.

I mostly use ChatGPT. Usually I ask it to collect stats for specific matches together with injuries, recent form and possible value on odds. OC I don't follow everything blindly, but as assistant for research and analysis I think it is pretty good.

This is what I’m doing too when using Chatgpt to assist me for my betting analysis. It’s easier to let an AI collect the data needed instead of manually checking the specific stats on different site.

I’m the one who will make the analysis while the AI summarizes the performance of each team based on my desired stats comparison on specific timeframe.

I recently noticed that even artificial intelligence can give some wrong analysis in data So sometimes you need to even verify the data that you get from using artificial intelligence because it may just be wrong.

I used an unsubscribed ChatGPT, is that why I had some wrong answers?
Does anyone here use the the subscribed ChatGPT, can you confirm if the answers you have gotten are alwasy correct?

You need the advanced version if you want a more accurate answer and continuous flow of discussion. There’s a limited access on this version if you login on the website.

Gathering data is what you should rely on them but the prediction analysis should be done by yourself to make sure that the quality of pick is based on your preferred analysis.

There is no way that a bot could know a result, but you can get info that you need for yourself. Do not make chatgpt tell you who should win, because it can't know better than you can.

But you can ask it to come up with information, like who has red card, who has injuries, who just came back from injury, who played how much, what are the minutes of each player in the last 5 games to see who gets playing time etc etc, basically you are getting all the info you need. In that case, you are not asking it to predict, you are asking for info that you will use to predict.

This here is quite agreeable. It’s true that AI and several other analytical tools can do well to profile some useful data and contributions to help our decision making, but these tools should only be used to aid your decisions and judgement and never to completely replace them. Because the idea that AI can give a more accurate prediction and analysis is a half baked truth because AI don’t have a clue of what would happen tomorrow, so the best thing is just to trust in your guts and judgment.

Because with such prompt, whereby telling ChatGPT to act as a football expert and analyst who has broad knowledge about all the qualified countries in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and predict matches that sorts this criteria, ChatGPT will literally do a great job for you. While also gambling with an amount you can always afford to lose, knowing fully well that nothing is guaranteed in gambling.

Actually, I tried it once or twice but the results were hilariously bad. The "kind of" analysis of the match I was interested in had so many mistake, it wasn't even funny anymore. Sure, AI is learning and most likely it already improved again since I tried that but at that point I was thinking, how would anybody ever use that to make a decision on what side to bet? It talked about players that left the team a year ago and other nonsense. 

AI isn't perfect so there are surely errors, and if you jump into conclusion without being cautious, nah you will definitely lose earlier than you'll expected. I am into AI as well but at some point its useful, but its not actually the thing that you can think highly reliable about.

It can give you instant data and good analysis, as well as its statistics, but at the end of the day you have to make your final analysis, otherwise if you rely everything into AI, your bets will get doomed eventually and make you lose even more. AI maybe quite useful but its not making reliable predictions in gambling.

Well, you are right and everyone is free to do or try some new things. But as you said, people do rely on chatGPt or Ai for assistant because they believed it has all the information they want, as this thought can make them to indulge in reckless gambling without them even realizing it and the danger in this state can destroy one lives and plans, because they fall into trap that trick their emotions to decide or do what its not right.

When it comes to generic LLMs like ChatGPT or Grok even those can be taken with a grain of sand, as there's no way to know where the bot gathers that information and how it combines it. You can only be sure that it will combine words often seen together.

If you want to use AI for something, use paid AI with controlled database (that you are providing for it). That way it can compare and analyze confirmed data. AI is cool for making scripts, and even with those it occasionally fails when it starts to "hallucinate" the results. It's not doing a good job scraping information from random places it has filled with.

True, Ai can help but it shouldn't be dependent, for its not created to be like that, its there to just assist people and not to make decisions for them, that is why they are to verify every information they got thoroughly, for them to avoid or prevent risks that is not meant for them to take for their own good. However, they should not participate in blind gambling but play the game and enjoy it, leave when they can, doing this helps them to stay responsible.

Well I would say it depends heavily on how are you using the AI and which AI model are you using. I am not saying that AI will give you a 100% sure winning bet but it can provide you many new angles from the public information (specially for minor leagues) which can be super handy.
It will beat an average sports bettor for sure in long term. We might even see a sports betting specific AI model soon

Let me aldo remind you that your 15 years of experience in the sports bets is not the same experience you have gained in this discussion platform. Fortunately if you have used the forum search feature you will see numerous discussions about AI and gambling being discussed here.

However, using AI as tool for determining or predicting sport games is what most of us have given try but never seem to provide better results than when we uses our self mathematical sense to do our analysis.

Well, you are right and everyone is free to do or try some new things. Through ChatGPT you can solve complex issues in a very short time which would take a lot of time for a person but ChatGPT can solve them very easily and quickly even ChatGPT can store a lot of information but cannot give you absolutely accurate information about the results of gambling. Greed leads a person to destruction and all the gamblers who do not think about anything and just rely on ChatGPT information with a get rich quick mentality, as a result the gambler faces a lot of losses. It is better to have confidence in your own research for gambling and use the money you can afford to lose and gamble with a mindset of entertainment.

After reading the replies, I think many people expect AI to do something it was never meant to do.

If your goal is asking "who will win this match?" then yeah, AI will probably disappoint you sooner or later.

Personally, that's not how I use it.

As a sports bettor, I'm mostly looking for value.
Sometimes that value is on the match winner, sometimes it's on props or other markets.

I use AI more to save time, gather information and maybe spot something I missed.
 If it helps me understand where the odds and the actual probability don't match, then it's already useful for me.

It doesn't need to predict every winner to have value.

You have done it properly, using Ai to get information about what we are aiming for is the right way to use it and by only influencing it only a few percent it is not wrong because what is wrong in my opinion is when the information we get affects us completely, because in my opinion even though it is fairly helpful but it does not entirely have to be a reference for the bets we make, so even though it is a helpful way but in the end we ourselves determine it.

Apart from the inaccuracies you mentioned, I prefer to do the research and analysis myself ^{[even though it becomes somewhat boring after a while, I can still cover most of the parts (assuming that we're talking about a few games at a time to handle the burnout issues)]} and see if I can predict those matches correctly ^{[this is where it makes it fun for me]}.
