I'm not surprised seeing people in making use of AI to this stage because they think that it is mostly applicable to every thing they do even in gambling, but we are expected to know that there are limitations to some of these improvised artificial intelligence bots, which shrinkage them to what they can do and the ones they cannot, but we are the ones that over exaggerate on them thinking that they can be applicable at all times in gambling and give us the required results we wanted.

I assume that most people have now known the best way to use AI in prediction, not as before where they completely agree or thought that AI prediction is more accurate than that of a real experienced bettor, now the people using AI would get the output from it and then use it to compare with what they have manually did. I use GPT to analyze various things, so when I make sports predictions, I analyze it through AI to see how many times a team has won in the past and how many times they have become champions and how their performance is recently. Artificial intelligence works great to analyze everything very quickly. However, when I play casino games, I don't really analyze anything and there is no way to win for sure. So when I play casino games, I don't have any help, I just make a prediction based on my own thoughts and enjoy the casino games accordingly. Although I have reduced gambling now because I have had many bad experiences with gambling in the past.

I mostly use ChatGPT. Usually I ask it to collect stats for specific matches together with injuries, recent form and possible value on odds. OC I don't follow everything blindly, but as assistant for research and analysis I think it is pretty good.

I have never used chapgpt for sport game analysis to find out which team I should be placing my bets on, but from several reviews I've read, I come to agree with you that Ai is actually more useful that many of thought.

I have a friend who bets alot on sports who was asking me the other day if I usually make use of any Ai for analysis before placing a bet on any team, I told him "no", and he adviced me to give it a trial before ever trying to place any bet on sports game again, and since then, I've actually place about three to four bets on different matches but I completely forgot about using the Ai for the research, and I hope to try this when next I plan on betting on sports again..

There is no way that a bot could know a result, but you can get info that you need for yourself. Do not make chatgpt tell you who should win, because it can't know better than you can.

But you can ask it to come up with information, like who has red card, who has injuries, who just came back from injury, who played how much, what are the minutes of each player in the last 5 games to see who gets playing time etc etc, basically you are getting all the info you need. In that case, you are not asking it to predict, you are asking for info that you will use to predict.

It’s not even about emotions, yes sometimes emotions can actually turn out to be helpful, but we need to understand that this also has high chances of failure too. AIs on the other hand uses more of rational thinking to make predictions, but like we already know, winning in gambling is neither about rational reasoning or emotional reasoning, it has always been about luck and it’ll always be about luck.

I made a thread about using AI for predictions like this but mostly for the research part since I think AI tooling like Chatgpt does help a lot with the process but majority of the people that commented just blew me off and completely wrote off the idea that using AI for this kind of things has no value added benefits. If ai can do the research part and including context, I believe it can be a lot of help.

I like the idea you pointed out for gamblers not to trust them too much because anything can happen in gambler and loses is inevitable. Using artificial intelligence maybe interesting especially to those that are using it to make profits for themselves.

AI fasten the time or process it would have taken to research on popular trusted sport news sites on the supposed outcome of a match, analysis gets easier when a tool points you to the right information in real time, where to find who would possibly be the main reason for a team to win or lose a game, maybe a player who got injured or an internal sport adviser of a club who have left the club with no prior notice, thereby weakening the tactical strength of the team. Ai is a perfect tool for analysis, but can't guarantee wins, aside sport betting, AI is completely useless for slot players.

A lot of people trust chatgpt over any other source of information and for a lot of people they trust it simply because it's what they have become used to overtime. The input of Ai might not be profitable In the long run because it wasn't created to predict sports games specifically, people just rely on it too much.

That was actually my expectation when I started this thread.

I wasn't expecting everyone to agree with AI, but I thought more people would share their own workflows, prompts, tools or even examples of how they use it in sports betting.

Instead, a lot of replies ended up being "I agree" or "I don't agree"

For me, the interesting part isn't whether AI can magically predict winners. We already know it can't. The interesting part is how different people use it for research, filtering information, finding angles or even spotting potential value bets.

I think there is a much more interesting discussion to be had here than simply arguing whether AI is good or bad.

This is nothing but the truth, when someone makes gambling very complicated for themselves, the sense of fun is lost and it become very depressing to the gambler when they are now left with the thought to contemplate if their gambling desire is going to be fulfilled or not. In all of these new inventions too, one can still decide to play in a responsible manner so that they don't get to deceive their self that they can become successful using chatGPT.

After reading the replies, I think many people expect AI to do something it was never meant to do.

If your goal is asking "who will win this match?" then yeah, AI will probably disappoint you sooner or later.

Personally, that's not how I use it.

As a sports bettor, I'm mostly looking for value.
Sometimes that value is on the match winner, sometimes it's on props or other markets.

I use AI more to save time, gather information and maybe spot something I missed.
 If it helps me understand where the odds and the actual probability don't match, then it's already useful for me.

It doesn't need to predict every winner to have value.

And have you been successful finding value bets with some generic chatbot?

Because from my experience that data lags a lot when it copies to "value bets" from some free sites. They no longer have value when i click them, if they ever did.
And sometimes that chatbot pretty much invents value in games where there's none.

Also you are still risking a lot with value bets, as they are often overvalued for being highly unlikely events even if they are 50% proportionally overvalued, it's still a same small change to even hit it.

Ai used AI many times, but i just to remind you, You should be careful from the result, because AI analysis as the main basis for gambling or betting because AI cannot predict random results or future events, but rather only process patterns from available data and it can be more worst if AI data is outdated.  Besides that, AI can produce wrong conclusions, use incomplete data, or fail to understand the latest condition changes. Relying on AI excessively can make someone ignore risks, feel too confident, and finally take unwise betting decisions.
