I am thinking of creating a small Userscript (Tampermonkey) to make our browsing experience easier while using this forum. Sometimes we need to quickly check the live price of BTC, ETH or other coins while on the forum. It is a bit of a hassle to keep switching to another tab and checking CoinGecko or CoinMarketCap. So I am planning to add a Live Crypto Price Sidebar inside the forum page.
The proposed script will have the following features: A small panel will be present on the side of any page in the forum. It can be dragged and placed anywhere on the screen and can be collapsed/hidden when not needed. Easily select your preferred source from the dropdown (e.g. CoinGecko, Binance, and CoinMarketCap). You can edit your own token list from the settings box (e.g. BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, PEPE, etc.). Not only USD, you can also see prices in USDT, BTC, ETH, or BNB pairs if you want. You can set how often the price will auto-refresh (e.g. 15 seconds, 30 seconds, or 1 minute).
Before I start the actual coding, I would like to ask for your valuable feedback and suggestions: Would a script like this make your forum experience easier? Should I add any other exchanges or APIs as price sources besides CoinGecko, Binance, CMC?
