You are mixing things up, because depending on what you are asking exactly depends what the right answer is. If you are talking about people who are addicted, then none of that advice besides quitting works. If you are talking about normal gamblers, then all of the advice that you have mentioned at the beginning applies. If you are easily influenced by free drinks and shining lights then you do not have discipline and are not applying the advice relating discipline even if you believe that you are. Often people mislead themselves that they are applying different suggestions and advice but they are not really doing it.

The second thing is the power of numbers, if you have 100 million people playing with an average budget of $10 per week that is a lot of volume per month and if you assume that most of it is lost then you can see that the income is in hundreds of millions per week.

I think you are mis aligning the context here. The honest truth is those words and advices in the first place are not directed to addicts. Every advice concerning gambling addiction in most cases are direct towards non addicts to prevent that same addiction. Those addicts wouldn't have gotten to that level if they did apply them in the first place.

As for risk, if you consider gambling fun then you should naturally risk trivially but the naivety of winning blinds the judgement of most people very easily.

Advice is certainly good, but it depends on how the gambler considers it. If a gambler cannot change himself even after being given advice, then it is his own matter. There are many who have been able to reduce their mistakes to a great extent after receiving some good advice, while there are some for whom giving advice is just a waste of time. Controlling gambling is not an easy matter. Where one cannot control oneself after understanding good and bad, there is no guarantee that the right advice will be useful. No matter how much advice is given to those who are addicted to gambling, that advice does not work that much. Therefore, there is no logic in thinking that advice is wrong, the main thing is how the gambler accepts it. In my case, gambling advice works, but not for all the time.

That sound right, emotions is one of the strongest thing that can weigh down a man, expect they are emotionally discipline, that they can make right decisions without allowing their emotions to be an obstacle to them. Advices don't work, discipline does, and discipline comes with nature. If you are irresponsible by nature in anything you do in life, you can't magically become a responsible gambler after getting a bunch of advices from different people, because those advices can't get inbuilt into your system, you will listen to them, they might make sense when you are either listening to them or reading them, but as you said, when you start gambling, you will not remember or apply anything practically because it's not in your nature.

On a contrast, someone who is naturally responsible and disciplined, they don't need advice to actually gamble responsibly because they already have full control over their emotions. A loss streak of 4 to 5 rounds is enough for them to stop and give up, but someone who is irresponsible by nature won't be able to do that because they believe they are going to hit a win very soon and recover everything.

So it all depends on your nature in general. If you know you are naturally irresponsible, know that gambling is not for you because it is only going to make you lose money in the long run.

I have said it in the past, the fact that someone praises a certain piece of advice doesn't mean that it is going to work for you. But the fact that it didn't work for you doesn't mean that the advice should be thrown away; some people are going to read it and get something that is going to help them over time.

There is a saying that our lives is shaped by what we hear, see or pay attention to always. So this statement justifies that it's never enough to give good advice. There are people who are still addicted to gamble irrespective of the advice but it'll take only one day for them to experience that Eureka moment and probably stick to the advice to aid proper and better gambling experience.  However this explains that I'm not in support of the idea that important advice like this should be stopped here in this gambling community.

Whether people take the advice or not, we should never stop letting people know the dos and don'ts of responsible gambling. Those advices serve as reminders to gamblers. Yea, no amount of advice can make someone who is not willing to gamble responsibly to be more responsible,  but one day, something will make them change their mind. We cannot do without advising ourselves when it comes to gambling, just pick up the ones that you know that concerns you and take heat and be corrected of them so that you will gamble in a responsible manner, these advise giving and not to avoid us from gambling or make more money for the casino as a result, but they were given in order to make us have better experience in gambling so that we don't do things in an abnormal way as we Gamble.
