I agree with the point that you have mentioned here. For me the main reason why many gamblers always come back after they have said I quit, is because gambling plays with human psychology. Another stronger reason also is because of the desire to recover losses. Many gamblers find it hard To accept that The money has gone instead they will keep chasing after it which  usually lead to more losses instead of recovery.
