The reason is that the big players and institutions have never allowed bitcoin to become a mainstream currency, and it remains a speculative asset. I don't believe that poverty is entirely designed by the government , poverty is a lot more complex than simply being a government design system. There was poverty over the history of people living in poverty because of different diseases , lack of technology, having limited economic opportunities and famine.

It is true that the government can make poverty even worse by increasing the prices, making wrong policies,  increasing taxes but they have also done certain things to remove or to overcome the poverty by helping them in healthcare, education ,and driving different social programs. I agree that the political or even the society built in that way since we started living as a community, there is always someone at the top and then hierarchy follows, but we have evolved so we have something called money that is used to control who comes in as the tiers.

And bitcoin is not a magic tool to end poverty, it is an effective tool to fight centralization, but it can't be the solution if the system stays in the same way as it is, people need to pick the leaders who think about the people instead of filling their bank accounts for generations.

Before jumping to BTC even if it has destabilized the system, I still have to agree with your point that when we look at the system, we realize it has been created in a way that takes more from us and gives us less in return. Now the process of taking and giving becomes harder or easier depending on the country and the government and how much development has been made. For example, in many countries you do not even have to visit offices to get your degree attested, but in some countries you have to travel to another city a day before and spend the whole day just to attest your degree, while there could easily be online systems for it.

People who are too used to showing themselves as poor just to get subsidies and government benefits are among the worst, and they should be dealt with accordingly. But at the same time, their excuses seem valid to some extent because governments are often unfair to poor people. Poverty is designed and richness is also designed by the mental colonisation, you get what you've been taught by the matrix especially in some certain culture. Some culture teaches the behavior of richness while some teaches poverty, not meaning in terms of money, but in daily lifestyle and mindsets, aligning oneself with work ethics and morality constitutes to poverty and richness.

Some culture believes in grooming the young by teaching them buying and selling, savings, financial management from infants. They grow with it and practice it all day and then become the person. Some culture teaches education like mine. They end up at the average level with lots of limitations.

People have different understandings of what poverty or riches means. For my when one can provide his basic needs and has extra to save and invest, he is rich. One doesn't need to own flashy cars, luxury homes, and designer clothing to be called rich. So there will always be cobblers, waiters, and other low-income earners.

This is why Europe is doing something in between both socialism and capitalism. It is not as ruthlessly capitalist as the American system, like you are not going to die because you can't afford medical care, of course you are going to get it. So what you see, is a nation, where you can be a 100+ billion networth individual if you earn it, but at the same time nobody dies from lack of medicine neither. Are there poor in Europe? And communism can only work in a small society. As long as that is a productive society that wants to grow, some will be richer than others.

I remember, recently my local government had just finished inaugurating Tol Road for the public, which used to be the main road before the toll road, which functioned as a major economic cycle for millions of dollars per day. The way the democracy was defined honestly if they can be able to go by that definition, i believe things will not go bad to this extent.
