No external kit was used. Only me and my mobile.
I just capture whenever I can, there are no practice sessions.
You can start with any devices, it doesn't matter. What's most important in photography is one's POV. How you frame it.

That's right, you just have to be aware of your surroundings and have the right attitude to pick up your camera (mobile phone) and take some photos. The nature around us is already beautiful enough for the final result to be very good. 

You're starting to awaken the photography bug in me. I think I'll have to start being more active in that area again.

Hey bro, I am absolutely impressed by your photography. The fact that all this was done using a phone camera even makes it more remarkable!
Had you not mentioned anything like using a phone camera, I wouldn't have even ever imagined that the photos were taken through a phone. With the photography skills you have, it looks like the Vivo X300 Pro is an absolute beast.

Thanks bro, for the complements. Realistically speaking, mobile phone's camera isn't what it used to be. Maybe in the past, it came out as an essential feature, something that can be used to document, and record. But now it comes out as a complete photography sets. And collaboration with certain brands like Zeiss, Leica, and Hasselblad makes it possible.

The pictures are really beautiful. I have seen your pictures about 3-4 times.

Did you use a macro lens to take these pictures? Such a beautiful and perfect capture, which cannot be ignored. However, I think that the camera of Vivo X300 Pro really works wonderfully in taking such shots.

A few days ago, I captured a few pictures with Vivo X200 Pro Mini, and the results impressed me quite a bit.

No external lens were used. It's all open and shoot.

Vivo's X series is a flagship series. So all of the mobiles from that lineup takes great photos naturally (if you know the basics on taking photos).

My hat was taken with a 100  usd  Canon camera 4000 by 3000

I took it driving in a car with my hand out the windows of the car.

Needed 7 trips on the highway past it. Also needed to be in the correct lane of the 3 lane highway and needed a lot of traffic to catch it right.

Since it is a digital camera
Since the SD card is 256gb size taking 200 photos cost was zero as the highway drive was needed for work.

In olden days it would have been 8 rolls of film and development of it. Cost well over 200 bucks.

I am not a great photographer but with the keep tossing dart method with digital you can get lucky.

I really like the firefly it is a good shot.

I thought it was photoshopped (I still don't understand how you took it btw but it seems like a difficult shot).

One thing I can say for sure is that both of us following the "spray and pray" approach. I consider myself an accidental photographer, I click as many as I can, hoping at least one would try out to be a decent shot.
It's always better to burst shot, than trying to click that one perfect one which may never turn out as you originally had intended.

Since you liked the firefly, I'm hoping you'll like his relatives also.

As far as I know, what you took a picture of is not a firefly, but an insect called a dragonfly. I don't know what Phil is referring to exactly, but it seems to me that one image is missing from the OP that was with a lot of insects in flight.

There used to be a lot of fireflies where I live, and I have to admit that I haven't seen one in at least ten years.

Sorry my bad, I messed up the terms, firefly/dragonfly both felt the same. As for the missing images, I removed a few, because I thought they weren't worth sharing (didn't contain much meaning).

With climate change and everything, these things seems to have disappeared. I'm living in a village/rural place, even here, I haven't seen a firefly for a long time. Usually they are found in jungle.

Night photography is really hard man! You need to have special equipment like a tripod to keep your phone steady, otherwise the results would be blurry/noisy. Moreover, night photography works really good with "pro mode", which i cannot use properly (yet). I haven't learned those functions (tricks). I'm more into daylight photography as it gives the best output.

I do have interests in astrography (you know where they capture moons, stars, and the whole milky way galaxy). In fact I do have some dedicated modes to capture the star trails, but since it's a long exposure shot and takes about 2 hour, I never tried it. Once again, astrography means you need to know pro mode.

Been busy with something, hence couldn't properly update the thread. Adding a few more photos to the gallery (mostly birds). I hope they'll be to your likings.

I don't know why but whenever I try to capture birds they seems to be in a really bad mood (the eyes). Maybe because I took them from behind...opps.

The 1st one seemed really angry (naming it the "Angry Bird").
The 2nd one I just cannot look into his eyes (if you zoom in you'll understand), it feels as if he is gonna tear up my soul.
The 3rd one was the most difficult. It was a really looooooong shot (focal length almost 500mm).

Capturing bird is not an easy task. They don't sit still. Any sudden movement and poof (gone). So either you have to keep yourself hidden or act like a statue.

What can you observe/photograph? Well, it depends on where you usually travel and what you find in your region.

Birds and flowers always make for good photos.
I also really like natural landscapes. I think that capturing them at certain times of day can result in incredible photos.

Yeah birds are mostly problematic. These ones still sat idly, but I have some others on air, those were even more difficult to shoot. One need to zoom in, and burst shot fast enough, hoping one of them will be a decent capture. Where I live it's mostly nature. Like big green, multiple rivers, ocean. Uhh the most vibrant colorful eye pleasing results I get when it is sunny, bright, blue skies or at the golden hours.

For example this one. It's taken from a long distance, and no, it is not edited or two separate birds. Single image, two birds, perfect timing (behind was countless tries). I love the Sync.

I just came to know about this thread, and I am really impressed by your work. However, I understand that if anyone buys your photos, you will give them a high-resolution version of that photo, but if someone uses the photos without your consent that you publish freely here, how can you protect them from being used ? In many cases, you won't even know if someone has used them in any video or on a personal site, etc.

I'm sure you already know this, but if you're serious about earning from your photography, you should also consider platforms like Shutterstock and Adobe Stock.

If TalkImg had a section for selling photos, would you use it?
I've been thinking about this for a while, but I have some doubts about whether it would be of interest to people.

Half the work is already done. You already provide image hosting and uploads, and honestly, TalkImg is one of the easiest and most hassle-free image hosting services I've ever used.

For the second part, you could turn it into a marketplace or a SaaS platform where photographers create their own stores or portfolios. By default, only low-resolution, watermarked previews would be visible. Once a customer purchases an image, they could download the full-resolution or RAW version.

Accepting cryptocurrency payments could be the feature that will set TalkImg apart. As far as I know I don't see of such platform specifically built for photographers that focuses on crypto payments (apart from NFTs, which are a completely different concept).

Yes I have high res which I can send, via the methods the buyer prefers. And as for stopping theft, I cannot unfortunately! At least not here. Even though I have added my watermark, it can easily be removed. I understand that. But I'm not worried about that cause I can always take more photos, you know! A thief might steal my images, but not my talent.

Uhh, it's not part of my public gallery actually. I had showed him some images privately by chance, and he instantly liked one, and offered to buy it. End of story.

I am trying to set up a site of my own (in progress), but it still need some work to be done. So until it's finished properly, I don't plan on publishing it.

Tbh, setting up a website, designing it, integrating payments, and basically everything else can be quite complex. Since you already got everything in place, it would be much more easy, if you were to consider it.
You are already hosting countless images, so a few more wouldn't make much of a difference, would it? And for your hard work, you can also take/charge a commission (or percentage) from each image that gets sold.

I've been looking into it. The problem lies in the legal issues involved.

When you start involving money, deeper copyright issues arise, especially when abuses occur. Balancing this with good levels of privacy isn't exactly easy. I have to analyze various scenarios and try to find solutions that minimize future problems.
