The biggest vulnerability in Bitcoin isn't code. It's human vanity  !

That’s why, it’s commonly said that, the first step to any tight security begins with you.

People wouldn’t go about hunting for what they don’t have any idea of. I get it that, by error, people can stumble on some information they never intended to fined but, in most cases, you always turn out to have given the first clue.

If no one knows that you’re into Bitcoin or the existence of even a private key or seed phrase, they wouldn’t go about hunting for one. Some might come across it and wouldn’t even know what it is until, you’ve educated them.

As it is commonly known that in cryptocurrency, we are most likely to be the cost to vulnerability that led to why others would have attacked, that you own your asset in your wallet does not make anyone have access to it except you engage in something that is wrong without knowing, which is the exact thing the scammers will build upon to hack or rip you of your assets.

They turn around to express surprise when they become targets of criminals as is currently happening in France and elsewhere.
The situation in France is a little bit more complicated and it is a problem from the authorities who want people to declare their crypto assets, but fail to protect the personal information of those who do.

In case you do not know, a tax official in France was selling personal data of crypto people to criminals, and they use this information to target some of the individuals. And since that data is already in the black market, you can expect more attacks now and in the future.

I don't know why the government want to know everything about us when it is unsafe for us to deal with.
If the news has not come out, many victims would have not known that the problem they are facing is coming from government officials that are using their positions to do harm to innocent citizens. I know that it is not only in France this must have been happening but all over the world. When the people at the top are corrupt and desperate to make money through any means, this is what mostly become the result allowing crypto investors to be in big problem they don't know about. The government need to check this and find a solution to it.

Lol, this is not really about those at the top, i believe it is more about a rogue employee and i agree that there would be more of her kind around the world, in positions were they handle sensitive information about people. So, as a result of this, the risk of declaring your crypto assets to the authorities increases and a lot of people may just chose to stay under the radar and not pay taxes on crypto. Though it is difficult to achieve that with the current regulatory environment in certain countries.
