Honestly, i believe in every season, especially during the Champions League game, there's always news about fans who commit suicide because they can't bear the loss or due to the amount they bet on the game it just that we hardly hear or know about it.
This is technically something that triggers addiction that happens to some gamblers, and until every sports fan/gamblers understand the concept of the game and winning is not promised, we'll always see some people who will take this drastic decision.
I have seen several news flying on the internet about fans that committed suicide because Arsenal could not win the champions league. This can be seen as unexpected situation that needed to be addressed by the government and the club.
I see it as abnormal for a person to unalive themselves because of football outcome.
Would you care to share links and sources of those news about people ending their own life because of the defeat of Arsenal?
So far I have only seen one of two news of people who lost their life after the loss of the club. It is kind of baffling to me there are actually even more people resorting to suicide because of something as natural and normal in football as defeat is.
Anyways, thanks in advance for sharing those sources.
I would like to have them so I can talk about mental health and coping mechanism with my family and friends, so if any of them them are doing exactly the same when comes to coping with football, they can avoid getting into profound depressing due to a single loss of their favorite club.
