I don't think Argentina will have any problems in the group stage. They could even finish the group with 9 points if they wanted to, but teams that usually get through the knockout rounds with 6 points often field players who haven't played in the last match. In that case, they could lose points. Argentina is ready, but can they win this World Cup? I don't think so.

Portugal won the match, earlier in the first half, Portugal was dominating the possession and Cristiano Ronaldo missed a goal scoring chance within the first ten minutes of the match. Like all friendlies before the big tournament, they experimented with the playing eleven, giving everyone an opportunity and match time.

It's not a fact at all, maybe Ronaldo will come out onto the field the other way around, in the second half. Considering that Portugal is a big favorite in the group, this would be logical, as they can first build up the game (score a couple of goals and ensure a comfortable score) and then play less intensively. On the other hand, a fresh Ronaldo is perfectly capable of playing the first half. Overall, you can't draw any conclusions from friendlies about the second kind of friendlies - group games, hehe.

That prediction was indeed an excellent prediction assuming you summed courage to go by it even as there where alot of players absent in the Nigerian team in that game.
I will say the super eagles hard and excellent performance in today's game, from the beginning I never believed the super eagles could be so confident to face Portugal that appears to be one of the best team in the world right now. Although I won't blame you or anyone for been doubtful on Nigerians goal scoring ability because there is no one who can be confident enough to stake his money in something that is not sure.

He's getting old, and he's not playing in the competitive leagues he used to. If he had continued playing in England league at this age, believe me, he would be at a much better level. But it's true, there's no need to put so much pressure on him he's not a robot after all. He will contribute as much as he can. Portugal has a tough task their squad depth isn't very good, and there are much better national teams.

Actually if players is getting old their performance reduces, but it's obvious that he will deliver his country because his a star in football, if he trained for it, definitely, he will perform well...

 I hope you know that in football the longer you participate in different matches the more you acquire more experience, Ronaldo has efficient experience but the activeness is what will be the barrier...but in aspects scoring a goal, he will surely score a goal, but he will not be able to run faster as he does before....but in experience, it's there with him until he retired in football..

Cristiano Ronaldo may not be particularly effective in high-intensity games but against weaker opponents who spend almost the whole match defending his experience could help his team. Uzbekistan, DR Congo and Colombia are in the same group as Portugal. in the matches with Uzbekistan and DR Congo it's very likely that these teams will spend most of the match defending and Ronaldo could be quite useful. and we know he has good experience when it comes to win a penalty.

Hm , honestly if you say this in presence of CR7 fans they won't accept it instead they'd look for a way to defend him. This is what I have been saying, the Portugal national team have very good and fast players but having more of Ronaldo in any game would dull the game for the players, his era is in the past and this is a time for him to cheer the boys and play whatever little time he can, he doesn't need to do much in this world cup but nothing can be done. For me Ronaldo is playing his retirement games and he can't bring out the old Primed Ronaldo so let him know his place and allow the younger ones to enjoy themselves while he gives them the support they deserve.
If this is how Portugal would play I think they'd go far because their style of play was a little bit convincing that they can compete in this WC or did they play much better and showed more of that dominance just because it's Nigeria they are playing? Just saying.

You're correct, he was not at his best today, maybe he didn't take the competition very seriously as most players do in friendlies, but CR7 is in the squad for especially marketing purposes, he shouldn't be in the squad, his age has really come up and he should be resting and helping the younger players perform at their best. I know for sure that this is his last world cup appearance, he surely cannot kill himself for football. He's no longer in his prime and should give way for upcoming talents.

Nevertheless, Nigeria played well against them, I believe that by now Nigerian players would be regretting why they were not so serious to qualify for the world cup proper.

Well if Portugal really want to make impact in this world cup, even to the extent of entering final, I think Ronaldo has to play less.

 In their last match, still on the friendlies, Portugal defeated Nigeria with about 4 goals to nil. In the friendlies Portugal still defeated Nigeria in the present game. Nigerian players put in minimal effort in today's 1: 2 defeat against the same team. Although without the key players, the likes of Osimhen and Lookman, I still expected them to do better. Their defensive play was too poor but they still had a good play with that.

Cristiano Ronaldo is no longer the young and energetic player we used to know, so we don't expect him to be the one to carry the Portugal team in thus world cup, but I think he still has something to offer to his team, which I think is his experience and motivation.  He might not have looked his best in the game against Nigeria,  but we should not also forget that it's just a friendly match, I think Portugal has a good squad and we should not just write them off. It's definitely going to be a different ball game when the tournament starts.
