Is it worth paying that much money for Salah? I think Trabzonspor made a mistake. A team that isn't that wealthy financially will inevitably lose money in the end if they spend so much on an aging player. Trabzonspor doesn't have a chance to win the championship with just Salah; they need to acquire at least two more quality players alongside him. I don't think they have the budget to do that. The maximum performance they'll get with their current players won't bring them much benefit

In my opinion, the primary goal behind this transfer by Trabzonspor is publicity. They have acquired a brand like Salah. Salah has 67 million followers. People across the Arab world will hear Trabzon's name, and more Arab tourists will visit the city. They will also generate significant revenue from jersey sales. Trabzonspor secured the transfer at a lower price than Beşiktaş would have paid. It is certainly a major success for the management.

It's not an easy transfer; many other teams are after him. He's the player I most want to see transfer to Fenerbahçe. Imagine having Vedat Muriqi and Mason Greenwood alongside Sorloth the championship would probably be inevitable. Juventus is putting a lot of pressure on him right now, that's what the news says, I hope it's not true, but many teams are already following a player like that.
Juventus actually has 4 centre-forwards right now as they have signed Kolo Muani recently. Are they really going for Sørloth as well? Then this will make things harder for Fenerbahçe if we are really interested. But if we manage to bring him I wouldn't doubt our scoring. I don't unsee Vedat Muriqi's last year performance but he is injured for now. I guess he hasn't made any statement on a certain date for his recovery yet.

I don’t know why they signed Vedat Muriqi when they could have signed Sorloth, because the difference in quality is huge. Sorloth won’t be joining Juventus because Juve have already signed Kolo Muani, and Jonathan David has no intention of leaving the club that pays him 6 million euros a year. So, unless there are some massive financial commitments involved, I don’t see how Sorloth could end up at Juventus; Fenerbahçe are much richer than Juventus and are attracting top players, well done to them.

It's really strange that they actually transferred him. It would be nice to see Salah in the league, but Trabzonspor has stretched its budget quite a bit. I honestly don't know what will happen to the rest of the team. A balanced team is essential for the championship. If they stretch their budget even further and make more transfers, then they can compete for the championship. It would be nice to see Trabzonspor in the race this season. If they spend a little more money, it might be possible.

Turkish club Trabzonspor have managed to sign Mohamed Salah and we can see that the Liverpool legend has joined the club on a two-year deal, even though he has come to the Turkish league as a free agent after leaving the English club. Everyone may have noticed that the Egyptian striker was previously linked with Besiktas but the club authorities have declared the transfer as completely fictional, at this moment it seems to me Trabzonspor have taken that opportunity to strengthen their attack by including Mohamed Salah in their team. The performance of the Egyptian player for Liverpool was impeccable and as I see it he also performed flawlessly at the 2026 FIFA World Cup as he scored one goal and provided two assists so it can be said that he might be able to play more offensively with the Trabzonspor club in the upcoming season. BREAKING: Mo Salah to Trabzonspor, here we go! Club confirms agreement in place for the Egyptian striker. Salah joins on two year deal as free agent after leaving Liverpool.

https://x.com/Trabzonspor/status/2084744204949901343Trabzonspor has also issued an official statement. I’ll be honest, After the transfer rumors dragged on for so long, I was thinking that if anyone were to sign Salah, it would be Beşiktaş. But Trabzonspor sealed the deal. Trabzonspor is a team in the Super League that has both generated significant revenue by selling players and signed new ones. Even though not everyone expected them to make a star signing, they’ve earned it.

It was a transfer no one expected them to pull off but they did and a huge credit to them, especially the sporting directors. We have seen how trabzonspor have been making impact in the league, how they are aspiring to win the league, maybe with salah now, they can push for that. Salah medical have been scheduled for tomorrow. It really good so see a player of such quality play for them. I was actually expecting fenerbahce to get his services, he his proven and a well decorated player. Now With Paul Onuachu and salah up front will really cause a lot of problems in the league.

Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan initially denied the reports linking the club with Mohamed Salah, but tonight it was officially announced that an agreement has been reached with Salah and that he will travel to Turkey to complete the transfer. It could turn out to be a good signing for Trabzonspor, but personally, I don't think it's a very sensible transfer because of how expensive it is. We'll have to wait and see what kind of season Trabzonspor have this year.

I’ll be honest, After the transfer rumors dragged on for so long, I was thinking that if anyone were to sign Salah, it would be Beşiktaş. This wasn't going to happen because Beşiktaş had already walked away from the table nearly 2 weeks ago. His agent was looking for a better contract for Salah and Trabzonspor came to his rescue. Otherwise he would've been forced to sign for a much lower salary. The fact that no offers came in from the 5 major leagues was proof of just how high the player's salary expectations were. Ertuğrul Doğan initially made negative statements, but now he's celebrating the completion of the transfer. They could've spent the money they earned more wisely, but they chose to use it for publicity. In my opinion sporting success is highly unlikely. The salary balance within the team has been severely disrupted.

I heard rumours that Trabzonspor is about to get him but on a free transfer since his contract at Liverpool is already done, I think it's the wage you're talking about. Is saw his weekly wage to be around €325k per week which will amount to €17 million per annum, that's a huge one but on the other hand, Salah is not a small player despite his age, his earned it. For Trabzonspor wanting to sign him, maybe they already figured out certain things and come to the conclusion that his worth the amount because he will make more for them. They would have an increased turn up of fans, sponsorship deals as well coming from Salah, all these are ways to generate income for the club. Salah is a household name in the Arab world, so technically he will pull crowd to the team, they know their chances of winning the league isn't that great, I think this move is more about money than wanting to win trophies.

From now on, one shouldn't take everything Ertuğrul Doğan says at face value. When the initial reports surfaced, he insisted there was no such thing and called it a complete lie, yet now Salah has transferred to Trabzonspor. He might have lied to prevent any obstacles to the transfer, but a president really ought to tell the truth. Best of luck to Trabzonspor. They’ve made a fantastic signing. Now, the whole world is talking about Trabzon and Trabzonspor.

Let's be honest, Trabzonspor has neither the financial power to cover this cost nor the quality of football required to achieve any success. Salah has come here purely to earn money, and I find it very hard to see him achieving any success. It will be extremely difficult for them to achieve success as a team, too. On the contrary, they’re set to face very tough times financially. They seem to be thinking of covering this heavy financial burden through sponsorships or jersey sales – given the advertising they’ve been doing recently – but it will be extremely difficult. Frankly, I don’t think it’s a good decision.
