  Dobbscoin (BOB) ANN, topic 792459 — live since January 2014.

  The account I operate, dobbscoin, holds the OP-edit rights on the Dobbscoin ANN. Both have been locked for some time — my best guess is long-idle cleanup, since neither was actively posting for years while I worked on community-side channels (Discord, GitHub, the chain itself). Email and PM appeals haven't gotten a response, so posting publicly in case visibility helps.
  
A few things in case any flag is attached:

  1. The project is active, not abandoned. Three consensus-level hardforks shipped in the past 30 days:
  

• v0.11.0 LWMA-3 Restoration — tag 2026-05-22, activates at mainnet block 1,888,808 (~2026-07-16).
• v0.12.0 AuxPoW Activation — tag 2026-06-01, activates at block 2,000,000 (~2026-12-17).
• v0.13.0 Emergency Difficulty Recovery — tag 2026-06-02, activates at block 1,888,888.

2. Not a Church of the SubGenius copyright concern — the project has the explicit written blessing of both Church co-founders. At project launch in 2014, Rev. Ivan Stang and Philo Drummond reviewed the Dobbscoin project and gave it a public endorsement, posted to scrubgenius and preserved at https://dobbscoin.info/images/stang-blessing.png.

The verbatim opening line, in caps: "BITCOIN BOB IS COOL AND THE DOBBSCOIN PROJECT IS DOBBS-APPROVED!" — and continuing: "Philo and I both agree that the DobbsCoin project is a good SubGenius project. It has all the earmarks: it won't make a dime for anyone except 'Bob.' … Repeat: it is a classic SubG project." I'm also a dues-paying ordained SubGenius minister and a member of scrubgenius (the Church's private members-only successor to alt.slack since 2009, restricted to verified $30+ ministers). The "Wall Street Bob" mascot image we use across (BOB)'s branding —  https://dobbscoin.info/images/WallStBob.png — came through scrubgenius itself. The Dobbshead trademark is held by The SubGenius Foundation, Inc.; we credit and acknowledge it on every page and every release. No takedown action from CoSG, the Foundation, or Rev. Stang in 12 years of operation — quite the opposite.


3. The OP is visually broken because of the lock. The OP's inline images render as broken-image placeholders for every viewer. Bitcointalk's image proxy serves a placeholder for the original (still-live) image hosts, and the only fix is to edit the OP and swap to an allowlisted host like imgur — which requires unlocking the account that posted the OP. New visitors landing on the thread are getting a visually-broken top post for a project that is actively shipping consensus code every two weeks.

Ask: restore btcbob (primary, holds OP edit rights), dobbscoin (secondary), or both. I can verify ownership any way that's useful — domain control (dobbscoin.info, subgenius.finance), repo control (github.com/SubGeniusFinance), social-handle control, the original registration email (dobbscoin@gmail.com), or signing keys on any of the v0.11.0 / v0.12.0 / v0.13.0 release artifacts.

I'm gonna stop you right there hoss. The thread you have linked above is currently unlocked. Anyone can post in it. I can see the OP was updated in 2020 and hasn't posted since 2021.

From my view its hard to tell for sure if the OP account is banned but you can always submit a request for it to be unbanned. Recovering the account may be as simple as doing a password reset. There are a few such threads currently floating around on the first and second page of this section. In them this process is described.
