To be honest, the children today are overloaded with a lot of information and it's only there for them to consume. But I think when it's too much, that's also bad and that's why many parents are forgetting that they're growing a kid and even if they are showing they're advance and genius, they shouldn't let them eaten by that system that bypasses their youth.

This is the part a lot of people are missing. They see kids today with the internet and easy access to info, and then assume they are smarter because of it. They do not realize that having access to information is not the same as intelligence.

Kids today are simply luckier because they are exposed to info earlier and can learn faster thanks to the tools and information already available. In other words, they have a better starting point, not greater intelligence than the generations before them.

Everything kids have today, from science and technology to the internet itself, was built by the generations before them.

Information the new generation kids are exposed to is a great tool for the smartness but another thing that have helped the Gen Z generation that most of us overlooked is the parents that are actually birthing and training them, our generation as parents is way advanced than that of our own parents, so the new generation parents provide adequate and on time guidance and mentorship to the kids way better than those of the old fashion parents, this is one of the major contributor to the smart kids of this generation.

Just this evening when I was watching news on television,  I came across one important news bearing the unbelievable performance of three South East, Nigeria boy they did perfectly well in an academic competition internationally,  two did perfectly well in science while the remaining one did same in mathematics.  This alone  got me confused,  the funniest of it all was when the boy the came out in mathematics said the internationally prepared questions was very cheap and he finished before 30 minutes and started sleeping at the hall. After watching this i began to ask what is the mystery behind the unbelievable intelligence present in the life of most young children, then i realised it as a result of when they started going to school and the nature of schools.
Before now it is very difficult for a child before 2 years going to school but now any age is allowed and before 10 the child is already good, so i will say education system of before is different from that of now.

There performance was not about when they started there Academics but it was natural and something they must have started even before entering schools, although some of this kind of brilliant could also come from the kind of schools they attend because most schools are very advanced and when you interact with children that study there you could be embarrassed with how sharp and fluent there brain is on everything, even in speaking I have seen many children from the same country with me having speaking like a foreigner and very smart, so actually because of how kids are growing in knowledge parents don't usually keep them at home when they get to a year and five months.

I agree, today's generation of parents are also the ones who welcomed the boom of the internet and that's why we'd see a lot of parents giving screen time to their children. Although there's an extent of it that should be limited but I think parents also known to the technology helps the kids with what they are learning these days. Because the parents understand where the world is going and technology should be embraced based on how the kids are responding to it and being adept to the innovation could give them an advantage in the modern world and even in schools while they're young.

Most people fail to understand that many of us adults now were the ones who witnessed what it was without internet and what it is now with internet. Most of them kids feel they are smarter because they grew up in a world where they’d have access to internet without knowing that previous generations have to do things on their own without the internet and they succeeded doing it. It’s just quite unfortunate that many of us refused or failed to flow in directions of the evolution of things now and that’s why most adult’s find it difficult to compete with kids of today especially with the use of the internet. Apart from that I don’t think this kids are way smarter than the previous generations.
