Everyone has their own life preferences, believe me you will have different opinions at the end your friend will still end up with what’s best for him. I have seen people who say they can’t leave this country no matter how much they have in their accounts. While I have also seen people who are looking for half that amount to japa. Personally if I have such an amount, I will japa make I no lie.

Yes everyone has what he intends doing as his or her plans, mine may be completely different from yours and yours different from my own but it will be good if the truth can be established for people to understand how it is supposed to be.
Exclusively writing off the existence of most terrorists groups in Nigeria and an unstable economy,  i will say staying in Nigeria is better that staying outside Nigeria provided there is enough capital to establish a profit generating business,  I will prefer staying here in Nigeria than to move out of the country.
In Nigeria with little capital one can establish a good business that will help reducing poverty.

Well like it Gor me to ask what job opportunity is there in this country that you can start with that amount…well like I’m say I think there would be no need to leave the country I would rather stay and invest in some handwork’s business of run a full farming industry i think it would be nice to run a farm bureau i feel it a win the to the area and community…

Well running with such amount is really not worth it if am been asked right now…forget the info that Nigeria is in big mess but running from this country after having that much is not worth its….

No reasonable person will stay with such amount, the best way is to japa and secure your future, is only those in government with enough security escorts will stay in Nigeria with such amount, because they live in a city where secured environment. But poor man Pikin will use it to japa to save their lives in a better country where the government are serious over the well-being of the people.
I no you are right in your opinion and even concerning the current happenings going on in Nigeria anybody will want to do same to be ensure of their safety. But personally, I don't like running away from my root, don't get me wrong, I love facing my fears and fixing it at once.  However, thought like this is what has landed Nigeria to this very point we are today, because people always think that after messing things up their are more better places they can always run to with their families and that is the mindset our politician's are practically operating with and that why no of them care about what is going on in Nigeria today.

Ok, let's be realistic, assuming we are running away to other countries just as most of us are saying what about our parents, our family members ,love once and people that are directly close to us, are will going to carry them also? The answer maybe no. Then what is the point saving only my own Head and leaving the people that I'm literally hustling for behind, think about it. One thing I can't do is running away from my fathers land to a strange land, to me I don't really fancy it.

Japa or start up a business, relocating is one of the best options if you ask me but then 49 million naira is not enough for me to leave this country I would want to relocate to a country like the United States and 40 million naira if it’s converted into dollar thats should be roughly not less that 30 thousand dollars thats if it’s even up to 30 thousand dollars, before you calculate how much you get a visa pay flight out of this country 10 million naira is already out. So out country currency is too backwards just the way the country is the best is just to set up an establishment here.

People d sell their properties, d sell their cars, leaving their good paying jobs to japa, and I come get that huge amount at a go, and I d think of whether to japa or continue staying in a country wey peso no get rest of mind.

Na before wey I d prefer to stay in this our country than traveling out. But as things are getting worse, our currency devaluing each day, I don d reason to japa whenever I get funds. I know sae so many other people d reason the same way cos them no fit continue to stay in our country wey their lives no d safe, and nothing else is working for their own progress
But abi na only the devaluation of our currency be your main reason why you wan japa, because I been dey expect you to mention some of the key things wey don dey happen recently that should prompt any individual to want to japa, example the constant killing by these so called Fulani herdsmen and bandits wey don cut short lots of lives than any other thing else for this we country. But however, if everybody con japa, who else go con fix this country wey we win leave. Because to be honestly speaking, 40milliona na really better money oh, and na money wey if you get better business idea you fit use survive for this Nigeria. But in a broader aspect, this japa of a thing is good for people wey get high demand skills for that side. And for me, I go likely stay for 9ja with that kind amount.

Relocating to another country will not necessarily guarantee your safety or your success in terms of business, you need to have that in mind, you can be in Nigeria and start up a good business that will even make you more richer, you can also Japa to another country to start up something good, but is not by moving to another country or staying in Nigeria, it is by planning yourself very well and scaling out which place will work out for me better if you eventually enter the business you want to do. I think this is a personal decision, you have to follow your mind, so that you won't make wrong choicesess.

To me that is a lot of money ,if he travels, only to process his papers , settling, adaptation, finding a job and so fort will cost him all the money and probably take him like two years or more to bounce back ,so it's not as easy as we thought,to japa is good but never going to be easy for starters .

On the other hand ,that same money is going to establish you here , because is a reasonable amount ,to me it's just to look for a lucrative business and invest the money ,even if it's to use half of it for a start them invest the remaining in a different thing, and watch out how is going to be ,many are successful in this country aside from all the insecurity problem, killing and kidnapping,Omo making decisions sometimes can be very difficult.

The option to japa go dey very appealing because this country no be place person wan carry get hope but also, when person wan japa, so may things and factors need to dey considered. The place wey you wan move to, that your 40m go fit carry you till you find means of income because their bills no be here o. Rent and other things fit reduce the money and if you no dey lucky you fit sap before better go come so instead going stranded just because I japa, nah to find location wey dey much favorable and start up something. Person fit move out any time but if you no get adequate source of income, e go hard to survive.

Aside from insecurity that is spreading across the country that is one of the reasons that some people are relocating from Nigeria, the major reason is because of poverty, so many people Japa because they want a better life in Europe and America. But Sha if you have money in this country I don't think that you need to Japa to anywhere, people that have money will travel for vacations in those countries and return to Nigeria, because this country is a goldmine for businesses. Just try to avoid states that terrorism is very persistent like Borno.

If you have 40 million naira and you're not a business oriented person then instead of wasting it you should use a part of it to process your traveling abroad and invest the rest. But if you are an inborn entrepreneur that wants to be your own boss you can research about a moving and profitable business to go into, this country is a very big market if you're in the right type of businesses. We have a lot of successful business people in this country who are doing very well and living very comfortably. The problem with Nigeria, is thaf you don't have money you cannot fully enjoy the basic needs of life. If I have sufficient capital I will rather do business here than go to work for somebody abroad, you cannot become rich working for other people.

With 40M Naira here in Nigeria if it is well used for a business I believe that in the next few years you’d probably be flying that same abroad to and fro just for vacations. Most people out there who Japa for some years now can’t really boast of 40M Naira in  their account, not that they are not making money but most of this cash are going towards bills payment. There’s a kind of joy and relief in one’s mind feeling at home no matter the level of success achieved outside . I wouldn’t want to Japa because I want to go and still be hustling and working over there, I prefer to Japa just for vacation sake and I believe a  40M Naria business here in Nigeria being used with the right financial management skills in business, you’d be traveling abroad for vacations in the next few years.

I know 40 meters is actually not a child's play and I also know that many people will likely want to japa out from Nigeria to a more secured and comfortable country of their choice no doubt. But, one things many people are not considering even before swinging into action is proper planing. However, it's actually not about traveling out but how you can make proper use of the money. Come to think of it, the money involves might have looked very huge in our local currency but I hope you know that the money must first be converted into the foreign currency for proper usage and you can imagine what it will amount in total considering the current exchange rate. Furthermore, also remember that on arriving abroad, you may likely get an accommodation to lay your head and other expense that you may be needing to be more comfortable, perhaps after all of these is being taking care of, what will be remaining to invest or start up a business with? Think about it, is not all about traveling out that can bring a lasting solution but is all about fixing your home that is what matters.

Exactly the point, most people just feel once you jakpa that you will turn rich overnight the truth is things don’t work that way, there are lots of persons overseas who didn’t plan well and just went there and are suffering, some are even looking for ways to come back, it’s not about the country you find yourself but the skills you have or business strategy you are executing, don’t go and turn a slave in a strange land probably working in the mortuary simply because you feel life is rosy outside, every country have there own peculiar challenges.

Another angle we should consider is how much is required to travel overseas, with the new dollar to naira rate one might need more than 20million to be able to process everything for his travel, deduct that sum from the 40million and you will see that the money will be really reduced, please think properly before traveling to any location, things don’t always seem like they appear.

I have a friend who currently has 40 million Naira which he has saved up. So he is considering moving abroad to start a new life but he is still having some kind of doubts. Which is,  whether he should rather use that money to start a business in Nigeria. So these two options are confusing him a lot, even when he decided to ask me for ideas I couldn't give him any answers.

Being able to save over 40million Naira in this kind of harsh economy, then it simply means this your friend must be into a very lucrative business, and for me, I will say that if he is not an individual that has a high demand professional skills, like in the medical field (e.g Nurse or Doctor), Or in the engineering field like (e.g Civil or Electrical) or having a handwork like plumbing. I will advise him not to travel out of this country, but rather double down on whatever business he was doing which got him that 40million Naira. Because one thing people need to understand is the fact that Nigeria has that population to boom any good business an individual start in this 2026. Because despite the fact that some parts of the country are facing insecurity, and living in this our country seems to put fear in the minds of the majority of the people. We can't forget the fact that living here in Nigeria offers more freedom than staying abroad where your every move is been monitored.

Honestly this 49 million may sound like it’s a big money but I don’t think it is in my opinion. When you convert it to dollar it is just roughly around less than the 30k dollars they mentioned o. Is it not a small amount of money in real life. Even in Nigeria, if you want to put the money in business you have to be extra careful because the money can just waste like this if you don’t think smartly with it. I have always have this japa plans on my mind but recently again I have started reconsidering it especially when I communicated with a friend not quite long ago and he told me a few of the procedures, it is when I began to fear about this whole japa thing. Unless if you have a good job there or you have relatives you can go and attach with for the meantime, life in the overseas is generally tough and not friendly and one has to be super calculative about it nevertheless it does not stop my intentions of japa and I think if I have this money, I can prepare to leave the country but it will be after thorough consultations here and there.

Well Japa is something that seem very tempting because of the stability and quality of life abroad, also knowing many people have gone and are doing well but the truth is 40million naira is nothing much when converted to dollar or pounds in abroad. It can finish fast when you consider paying school fees, rent and settling down not even when you don’t have strong papers or a paying job.
However the money can go a long way if it’s is invested wisely. So for me I would prefer to stay in Nigeria and put the money into something practical and defensive like agro business. With smart management, good location I’m sure it has every potential to grow into something bigger and builds lasting wealth for my family.
Of course the risk are real with power issues and the insecurity but I believe that’s why diversification is key.
