El Capo is a scam, and I strongly advise everyone to avoid using it. Their website is still active and appears to be targeting more potential victims.

They scammed someone on SimpleX Chat and also selectively froze customer funds. The person who runs this website is a scammer, so avoid Lizex at all costs.

Thank you, I’ve shared it. The "Recovery" trap is fraudsters often follow up an initial theft with a secondary social engineering attack. By providing a "refund claim page," they target the victim's desperation to recover lost funds. Wallet Drainer mechanism is when the user connects a Web3 wallet (like MetaMask or Rabby) to the fake refund page, they are often asked to sign a malicious transaction (e.g., setApprovalForAll or a permit signature). This grants the attacker permission to withdraw the remaining assets in the victim's wallet.

This guy isn't actually a victim, since he also run a sort of service directory site. He was just sharing someone's story via Telegram. I’ve already messaged him privately on Telegram (their group is quite strict, forbids new users from sending messages), let's see if he even care about my PM.

Why this is suspicious: Legitimate, established non-custodial exchanges usually allow smaller minimums to accommodate a wider range of users. A high entry barrier often serves to "trap" users into larger transactions, increasing the potential loss if the service is malicious or exits abruptly.
