Even though profits are part of the aim, but those you mentioned aren't going for short-term profits which appears to be some kind of problematic for those who aim at it. If investors can go long-term in Bitcoin, they've better chances at real profits.

Government manipulations see fiat reduce in value. Preserving your money from such manipulations should be worth the investment as well.

It is not necessary to know how the price of Bitcoin is going to move or how the price of Bitcoin is increasing to invest. If a person is able to find a source of discretionary income, then he can start investing and after starting investing, he can gain knowledge on other topics. For example:

Long-term goals
What steps need to be taken to protect investments.
Etc.

All these things can be achieved along with starting investing. Even investors that goes for the long term holding of bitcoin do have higher chances of profits and good returns but we shouldn’t forgets that profits isn’t even guaranteed for those with the long term holding then talk less of those that are holding for short term. Either we go for short term or long term profits isn’t guaranteed but there are chances of success higher in long term holding than short term so as an investor why not take the higher possibilities and wait patiently for some years and witness high returns.
 The mindset of making fast money with bitcoin is a risky one and if we don’t apply caution we might end up losing the investment. To make good returns from bitcoin, we will be ready to stay patient and not rush it even a bit.
