Everyone seems convinced the 4-year Bitcoin cycle is guaranteed at this point. The more I read Bitcoin Twitter, Reddit, and YouTube, the more it feels like the cycle is treated as a fact rather than a theory. Historically, markets love making the majority look foolish.
What if this is the cycle where it breaks?
I’m not saying the cycle is dead or that Bitcoin won’t continue growing. I’m just wondering whether we’re putting too much faith in a pattern because it has worked before. P.S. This is my first post here, so apologies if I made any mistakes.
As somebody who believes in the 4-year cycle, I'm pretty much aware as well that there's always a chance that this might be broken anytime soon.
Let's not forget that the market will move based on what the sentiments of the investors are. If the sentiment is bearish, the market will go down and vice-versa. If many people believe that the 4-year cycle is still intact, many will think of buying hence, the price will go up and vice-versa. That's what makes the 4-year cycle happen over and over. I've seen it happened in 2017, 2021, and the recent one in 2025. I'm not saying though that it will not happen anymore, but there's always this possibility that it will. We just don't know when though.
I'm not convinced that the 4-year cycle is a fact and it will happen over and over. If it breaks then it breaks. If many investors believe that it will be then it will reflect on the price movement of the crypto market.
