Well, very soon we will check whether I assumed correctly or was completely wrong. Honestly, now that there are few games, the games themselves don't seem as distracting as I thought when I created this topic (probably because the favorites are winning), but still, you never know what kind of scandal awaits us in the future.

Haha, the timing is surprising, yes! It is now 2026, and the violations themselves occurred between 2009 and 2018  But for some reason no one has been able to punish the oil club during this time, although the likes of Ludogorets and Everton receive punishments very quickly and for much lesser offenses. It is noteworthy that UEFA, which were the first to try to punish City, ultimately went with the 4th option that I indicated in the poll. I don't think the League will have the nerve to repeat this trick, they'll probably just issue a lenient punishment and leave it at that.

Well Everton and Nottingham Forest saw points deducted and we was able to see that happen immediately because it has not happened for a long period of time just as Manchester City. ( Everton and Forest interval of three years ).

In cases like this it is always hard to say, the issue is that the incentives are skewed meaning that there is a strong incentive to give a punishment that is a lenient as possible or not deliver any punishment at all. This happens when the world is ruled by money instead of justice, whereas they should be held to the highest standards they are held to the lowest standards. I am sure that there were many other cases and issues that were intentionally overlooked or delayed as long as possible before something happened to them. In other times the officials come asking for a bribe in order not to pursue the team or company in question.

If I had to opt for an option, I would bet that they will do it during the World Cup, taking advantage of the fact that the whole world is distracted by the event, although I would not put my hand in the fire because, as I said, the issue seemed to be going on for a long time.

I voted 'during next season', which is the 26/27 epl season. I believe that even if a verdict isn't delivered this year, it would be sometime around early next year, so i stand by my vote of it happening next season.

However, i think a lot of you have already reached your personal verdict of City being guilty, i can understand why, i mean, they have been very successful on the pitch, so that can attract a lot of hate from rival fans. We could still have either Manchester city or PL FA going to appeal court and that would take another several months.

I honestly have no idea of the case you are talking about, and I know I could easily look this up on Google and read to get an clear knowledge of what happened leading to such case but I still feel it would have made some sense if you gave a small explanation of w what happened leading to the case, so those who have no idea will know what to contribute without having to leave the forum.

But all good anyway, and I will say that what ever offence Manchester City committed, a 10 point deduction or a year long transfer ban is already a harsh enough punishment judging from how important this two things are, points are very valuable and 10 point is very expensive to be honest, that a four match win we talking about, what other punishment for an offence can be more than canceling all points earned from winning four matches if I may ask?
