I have being thinking about all what has being currently going on in Nigeria for quite for some time now and it's has being given me so much concern. So I thought of this that something isn't just fine, if some certain measures can be put in place everything will just be fine.
At first, - We must have a good leader that cares about the life of his people and that of their safet: This is an important factor that need to be considered first before anything can take hold. Having a leader that doesn't care about his people is a big problem that can result things like this in most cases.
- Having a system of government that's working: Having a government is one and having one that's working is another. You can have a government that doesn't care and that is exactly what we are going through in Nigeria today. Our leaders in power doesn't care if we are dieing or not. Therefore it is best having a system of government that's working else their will be a problem.
The discussion is open, any contribution is welcome.

This is simple, the solution to our problem is having a good leader that care about the people he is leading and who has empathy for the masses, if we can fix the leadership bry voting Tinubu out of government then we have literally solved 60% because if the head is working fine then every part of the body will also be working. This is the most unserious government I have ever seen, that some children were kidnapped and it's been over two weeks that they were abducted and yet the government is mute, they don't have any human conscience towards the citizens of the country. The government knows those behind insecurity in the country and if they are serious and really wants to end it they will do it without stress but because they are being political about the life of Nigerians and they also have a hand in it they just feel very reluctant over the whole kidnapping and insecurity that has eaten deep into the system and we are no longer safe. The only way is to fight back to end the insurgency.

I totally agree that a leader that cared about the people is very important if we want to stop this insecurity issue, but it such a pity that our leaders does not care about us, that why we are still having this issue. Secondly the government should not be scared to step on toes if they truly want to solve this issue, because I believe that their are a lot of influential people that are sponsoring this act and that's why it's very difficult to end. We have had this issue for over 16 years and it keeps increasing, rather than declining, this alone shows that influential people are benefiting from it and that's why it's hard to put to and end.

You're right, this people are being sponsored by influencial people in the country that's why it the insecurity is growing worse and the government doesn't care or is doing Les to track down the sponsorer. If the government cares for the masses, it would've put to an the killings going on within the country because they don't care that why they are allowing this killings to continue and they do not have intention of stopping it.. If government don't do something about these killings, one day they will be country to governed anymore as terrorists might have taken over the country and by then it would be to late.

Most Nigerians are already aware of the major problem we have which is the political leaders both past and present who in most cases failed to prioritise the nation's interest. We've been bedeviled by leaders who are after their personal interests reason why they always embezzle and launder money for themselves and their immediate families. We've seen all of this but the major problem now is, how do we put an end to that. Nigeria is a country with larger number of men with integrity and goodwill, how do we bring these people who'll prioritise the general interest of the country ahead of their selfish gains. That should be the major concern.

Well all we need is just a good leader to come to our rescue that all we need for now I think it a good place to start from then further more all this shit might stop…like honestly speaking it just pains me to see people going through all this,be cause of some games and fame’s like most time I do ask my self question if the Nigeria president was ever ready to rule us or kill us, because it so obvious that even other countries are seeing this and are just trying to say anything…like most time am just of how other countries see us…

the solution that person needs in this country is for we to have good leaders that care for us. The leaders we have now don't give a fuck about us because if they do, then they would have put an end to this bandit attack. I just saw a video on Youtube that was showing that the bandits have entered Nsukka community in enugu. Since the government have not been doing anything to rescue the abducted children in oyo, and they have not been doing anything to protect the other of us, let every person should stay safe .

The risen level of insecurity in Nigeria is alarming and it is really disturbing that the government is yet to put in enough efforts in stopping it, as the saying goes any insecurity or insurgency that last long is actually fueled by the government either for political or selfish reasons. As long as i know no insurgence can be bigger than the government if they actually put certain things in place like;
1. Accepting the fact that there is actually insecurity and seeking for help were necessary, it will shock many Nigerians to know that up till now the country is still covering the fact that there is so much of insecurity challenges, even when killings occur the government come out to media houses to either deny it or reduce the number of casualties.
2. The government also have to as a matter of urgency inaugurate state police, let every state be in charge of their internal security, this pattern of rotating police commissioners from state to state won’t help, you can’t really secure an environment that you know little about, allow each state to deploy strategies and protect their people.
3. The Nigerian government has to invest a huge part of the budget into security by purchasing more modernized weapons, you can’t tackle insecurity in the 21st century with this kind of poor armory that is seen in Nigeria, even the bandits seems to be more equipped than the Nigerian security agencies.
4. No form of politics nor Godfatherism should be condoled, once anyone is caught in respect to terrorism he/she should be immediately brought to book.
5. The Nigeria government must stop paying any form of ransom to bandits/terrorist any country that pays ransom to terrorist is actually encouraging the terrorist to do more, the country is also encouraging other terrorist groups to emerge because everyone will feel that if the can cause social unrest that they will be paid.
Nigeria government really have a lot of work to do if truly they want to change the security status of the nation, enough of the bloodshed, human lives matter.

Our leaders are being nonchalant with what’s happening in this country , they don’t care about the people talk of the economy , Obviously this country kept getting worse especially when come to the insecurity in this country is just so messed up. An average Nigerian can boot travel with the fear of getting abducted by bandit or something worse . This country need serious prayer , we also as citizens have to work on ourselves what do you mean by bandit doing giveaway and some citizens are participating in it.

This same people are the once commiting the numerous atrocities going on accross the country and they're doing giveaway and we Nigerians are participating, we really need to work on ourselves because of a truth we no really no where they pain us I swear. Or are we going to say is because of the hardship in present time or what, we need prayers and that's the fact.

To make our country a home of peace, I think the best solution is to address or wipe out corruption. Because the issue of corruption is one of the major problems that is causing complications. These bad governance is actually affecting people a lots, and it must be end, in as far as we still care for our own safety. If we have good leaders who are willing and ready to sacrifice everything for the wellbeing of the citizens, our country will go a long way. As a result of corruption and bribery the security agencies are failing to serve justice. The security agencies including the police and military should follow the appropriate ways or rules in the right approach and act as a guardians of justice between the riches and poor.

The only way is to strengthen most of our institutions that can be able to tackle corruption in the country and reduce it to minimal. However, talking about eliminating corruption totally is something that may not be possible. The leaders we have in Nigeria are not there to serve but they are there for there own selfish interests. So if there are institutions that can be able to tackle corruption definitely it will reduce drastically.

The government should stop paying ransom and list out all the terrorists sympathizers , arrest and jail them, declare death sentence on terrorist and bandits, the government should declare state of emergency in affected areas.
The soldiers should be well taken care of, all their welfare should be paid in due time, this will help to build morale for them to be able to fight and defend their country from external and internal aggression, Thirdly Tinubu should resign he has no political will to fight the terrorists, he's playing politics with them.

The Most important issue that spreads insurgent in the country is security systems. Our country security system is not that strong again, they lack ammunitions, high intelligence tracking systems, and personnel. And if they do have this supplies then they are not using it wisely because this terrorist have been connected to the internet and appear on social media almost every day without them being tracked. They have gained fullcontrol over some communities without them being evacuated.
Now to answer your question. If the government wish to save it nation, they most increase the wage for the security personnel, recruit more people in to security, supply them with powerful weapons. But the problem now the majority of Nigerians are not interested to join army because of lower salaries, and lack protection and proper weapons, because the lives of army are in danger they have been framed by their superiors everyday. If the government can tackle even this few the issues of insecurity will reduce.

Government are the terrorist sympathisers itself. They have integrated thousands of terrorists into the society instead of sending them to their maker in heaven. This is to show you that the government are directly responsible for the insecurity because why else would they be releasing hundreds of terrorists back into the society if not to use them cause more havoc against Nigerians. If Tinubu is serious in his fight against insecurity, he would have ordered the military to execute every capture terrorists in all military detention and correctional centres within the country. However, from the looks of things, Tinubu isn't interested in addressing security challenges in the country that is the reason why he should be voted out from power.

You are right, the measures on the key areas on how to stop insecurity in the country was not outlined by him and don't assume everyone knows because I can tell you that there are some people on this board that don't know the measure of handling security issues in the country but even though no approach was clearly stated, everything still boils down to having a good leader, because if we have someone that is not biased with the security of the people he can't seat and watch the people die on daily basis without given orders to the arm forces to go after the terrorist so that's what the area I wanted to create your awareness on. If we take on the practical approach of protecting ourselves, it will result to something else because every civilian will be carrying arms around, is that the Nigeria we want and pray for?, No. So at this point we all need to join hands and say no to bad government and vote Tinubu out, that's the only way in solving our security challenges.

How do you tackle the issues of insecurity when the government are the once responsible for the insecurity in the country, what do you think you could’ve done when you don’t have the power to command the soldiers, don’t you think the soldiers are the once responsibility for fighting insecurity, and the police and the security agencies, like the State Security Service, but have you heard anything about state security service ?
Nigeria is a country, that everything happening in terms of insecurity, you have to hold the government and the President accountable for what is happening, because they know what is happening and refused to do something about the situation, how is it possible that people who haven’t taken good care of themselves and what to eat, are having access to sophisticated weapons.
