Every new president of this country thinks that when they get into power, they are trying to fix things, but actually they tend to get things and the documentation processes more complicated for the citizens like the initiative of BVN, NIMC, TIN, and others that are of same data equivalent.
I think documentation for citizens should be only one, just as we have social security number for citizens in the U.S and other advanced and more developed countries. It is sure to bear same accuracy of information and personal individual details and can be used for several procedures that documentation is required.

Why Naija own always dey different, because am having new issues from old documents that was merged. Am talking about me using a NIMC document that was BVN generated and all of a sudden the new presidency in power had to nullify it without most of us finding out until we want to fill and submit some new documents and the issue comes up. It's a concern for me because having to resubmit same details to produce new documents cost much more than before and the process is quite daunting I must say.

Anyone experiencing same issues too?

Is the government embarking on another round of documentation again?, because if they are then I'm not aware of it, the government leaves areas that needs urgent attention and be doing documentation that almost every administration that comes into power has done, we have other areas that needs to be fixed but they ain't going that way, we need to diversify the economy in order to make life easier for the common Man, what happens if the government invest massively into the agriculture of this country and create more Job opportunities for the Youths rather than documenting every year.

The United States government that we always talks about is more advanced than us and they arranged all their documents easily and do it once, here corruption has made us do things zigzagly and like I said I haven't come across documentation of any sort recently except they have started and I don't know.

First of all, you have to pardon your country, you are ruled by a bunch of clowns. With that aside, where in the world will you need to do 4 things just to identify who you are? Just imagine. I don't know whether the government of Nigeria derives joy if we Nigerians go through stress.

The government has no plan for the next ten years. That's why all this nonsense of changing its identification. Because if there was a plan, one identification is enough and we move on to the next thing to develop.

At the end of the day, when new verification corrections come up, we the citizens are not well informed about them. We don't even have a general channel that can reach everyone quickly around the country. We sure as hell have a long way to go.

Now the issue is still the unnecessary change of identification. The one wey dey bust my brain be say we go still have to spend money to get am. Aaah. Anyhow sha, na here we dey.

One rule in data security is that You must not expose personal data to different data base and in that regard, we always fail too much. Our finger print is literally scattered across bank data base, schools, different registration centers for even minor jobs and our NIN and other core personal data is almost everywhere. even with this, we still have serious data problem because it is most not well documented.

This is not just a failure that comes from the government alone because in most tertiary institutions that is believed to be the apex of excellent in the country, their data system is still ancient and someone can literally study two courses in same university without the person being dictated and all these comes as a result of poor documented or the fact that we don't take the issue of proper filling serious. of cause, what is not working in our nation is far more than what is working.

What annoys me most is the unnecessary stress why should we need so many things just to prove we are say it just feel like poor plan from the government if there was proper structure and long time planning one valid means of identification should be enough instead they keep changing thing without properly informing people and many citizens only hear about new requirements when it is already urgent.

The painful part is that we all still end up spending our own money on all these processes in the end na ordinary citizens dey suffer pass but well na nigeria we just dey manage.

Why all this complications in documentation processes always happen is because Nigeria as a country lacks continuity, Nigeria don’t have a long-term plan on the turn out of events, every government just comes and start over from the beginning without first of all going through what have been achieved by the previous government and how to further continue from where the previous government stopped, and the reason for such behavior by the Nigerian government is because of the greed amongst the ruling class, every government just want to steal their own fresh money, that is why they don’t continue past projects instead they will approve a new project so they can have the opportunity to steal enough money, if the previous government used BVN for example for its database the new government won’t want to use it anymore, the new government would prefer to create their own database so that through that channel they can loot money. This is why most developed countries have an edge over Nigeria, most developed countries have long-term plan of which regardless of your party affiliation once you win as president you must follow the already set long-term plan.

One thing I discovered about our country Nigeria is that, any time they want to make money out of something they will always bring a new strategy to make sure the citizens concord to it without any form of disagreement, and you will see us doing it, because they we fixed it on something that is so much important to us that will we never have a way a to escape it. During Jonathan's period, there are some Nin number that was issued out to people through the bank, but that Nin number can not be used unless you reactive it directly from Nimc portal and that will make you spend money. When it comes to documentation in Nigeria we are really back ward, I don't know if I will say that is how we are been channel or we don't have the capacity to be civilised in that area.

It will be difficult for Nigeria to have one form of identification like the western countries because any seating president likes to introduce his own form of identification for his subjects and make it so important that anything you want to register in the country you must use the form of identification, which will make citizens to pass through difficulties and spend a lot of money to acquire the new form of identification. In this Tinubu regime NIN is the identification card Nigerians use to identify themselves and register anything that have to do with the government. I wouldn't be surprised if another form of identification takes the place of NIN when another person becomes the president, because that's what has been happening in Nigeria.

I understand your concern, but I hope Nigeria eventually reaches a point where a single national identification system is maintained regardless of who is in power. Constantly introducing new identification requirements creates unnecessary costs, inconvenience, and confusion for citizens. Rather than replacing existing systems, governments should focus on improving and expanding a unified ID system that remains consistent across administrations. Stability and continuity would make accessing public services much easier for everyone.

yeah very soon we would see how NIN would become something the government will not valued again so that's the issues we have about identity verification in this country because every regime always want a footprint so that they would be remembered that during their time the country was using a certain identification but they seems to forget that they will never achieve anything through that way, actually when I see the way some countries organized their identity verification it makes me happy because everything about their citizens are all current but in this country is outdated.

In Nigeria today the introduction of all this unnecessary documentations by any president in power is just to provide a controlling system through which he can access and abuse anyone that goes against there wicked plans. If all this documentations where for the betterment of the country don't you think all this bandits operating with legal information would have been fished out.
Many civilised nations uses this documentations for the identification of citizens and are done just once but that of Nigeria is done by every president because they have constitutional rights of doing it and must be looked into because this said leaders has no good plans for citizens.

This is actually my first time hearing that the new president did nullified some NIMC registration that was generated from BVN, because I thought all those documents do have an interchangeable connection on the government's database. Because the only common issues I always hear people complain about with their NIMC is name and birth dates not corresponding with their other documents, hence raising concerns if you were to apply for a government job interview. And mostly not for regular people who works online and makes a living through online gigs. So I think if you are having any issue with your NIMC, it's just to locate their appropriate center and apply for a re-registration of it again. However, our government lacks structure, which is why each government seems like it's starting from the scratch always.

Nigeria is a zoo country with so many stressful means of identity yet evil are being carried out and the perpetrators of those acts can't still be traced and tracked down with all the vigorous identification we do almost every year, people are being kidnapped and killed and the government can't easily fish out the perpetrators of such barbaric acts then what is the need of doing all the identifications when a crime happens and none can be held responsible for it?, In Europe they have a proper means of identity and if anything goes wrong they identify the person immediately.

I can tell you that the government are confused and don't know what policy to embark on just because they go into public offices with the aim of embezzling public funds and get enriched and that's why they don't know what to do at some point, in Europe the government doesn't stress their citizens or even foreigners amongst them once the necessary documents are seen which are the residents permit that carries the immigrants code etc.
