Well, thats how extreme luck works on which we know the odds of hitting these jackpots on scratch cards are that close to impossible if we do speak about changes but it turned out that he spend up all his luck on that one but whats the best is that when you do buy with these cards is that you dont expect to hit up the jackpot or huge win. Come to think that he had been expecting only 10k$ for the 9 words and then checked up later on and it was 10, then thats really that extreme luck. As long there's chance on winning up these prizes then you can be able to hit it up but as we know that extreme luck is needed. Or media has developed more. People need new content and media searches it everywhere. Internet became more accessible and affordable, and that is why we are able to find gambling news. I believe that win rate is the same, a little bigger, as more lotteries appeared. However, instead of reading 3-5 newspapers and maybe have one announcement on TV about jackpot winner, we have thousands of news media portals that purposely make text look different but share same news. It is easier now to spread news since there are various channels to do that. I don't think that there is an increase in people winning jackpots because I have not seen or heard such news around my area.

The 27-year-old Mackinac County resident was quite happy to spill the beans on how he managed to turn his road trips into a lifetime lottery payout of a lifetime.

In my country, handling a mobile phone while driving is prohibited and punishable by a traffic fine, that's why I don't think many people here will experience the same win, considering the already low chances of getting it in any circumstance.

I think @OP is telling us that the person is buying a ticket where the jackpot prize is $2m thus saying " a two-million-dollar cash word scratch ticket."   It is not buying 2 million worht of ticket but 2 million dollar cash prize ticket.

No, the price of the ticket the person bought is not amounting to 2 million dollars, the story does not say how much, but I think the ticket price is less than $10 a piece.  So the player really hit a jackpot there.

There have being several stories about these lottery winnings but I still find it difficult to believe, maybe because I have not put interest into learning about it.

The name of the scratch ticket is "two million dollar cash word", I guess I should have put a quotation mark to make it clearer. Anyway, the guy has made a habit of buying scratch tickets while on the drive, and one of the tickets he bought won him $2 Million dollars, which is the Jackpot for that scratch ticket.
