There are always those who say that the government is a picture of the people especially in a democratic system, which means from the people, by the people and for the people, this is not about who is wrong but often we as a society blame the government without reflecting on ourselves first that the people are also accustomed to corrupt actions.

Or it could be that even a good and honest person when entering into a system that forces him to be bad then he will become a corrupt person too, the question is when people around you are still in the upper middle class and live better while you are in a bad situation, well that question can be thrown back into yourself.

You are right that the political system is a reflection of society. Politicians are not aliens; they came from the same society. An example is my place of work, where you would be forced to embrace corruption. If you don't want to join them, they will begin to seek means to implicate you.

It will take a fearless, competent, and transparent leader to fight corruption. China was ruled by corrupt leaders until a new set of leaders who had the interest of the people took over the government.

In other words, the wealth of developed countries is provided by the poverty of backward countries. This has been going on since the colonial era. And so it continues to this day. Many of these governments also has hungry mouths to keep satisfied with the money that comes in. Often in less developed countries militia groups are controlling the government and they have a large appetite. To keep them happy the spending becomes big and when that spending stops the politicians end up decapitated or throw off a cliff and what not.

It is not all roses and red in the side of the government, what we might think on the citizen side.

Still I dont see any overnight solution to such problems that have been there since decades. Often the governments were brought to power by the help of these militia, so they have to listen to what the latter says.

In underdeveloped countries, corruption is a serious matter so clean officers should eradicate the matter before everything becomes bad. Perhaps there will need revolution to clean the mess but if that happens, citizen will be the victims. People who corrupt just smell the money and take it as much as they can without thinking how their citizen will lived. It needs many things to cleans the corruption and a long way to do that.

Power plays a significant role in a bad system of power, and this is where corrupt and greedy leaders are usually born. Criticism is silenced, and society is forced to accept all conditions. Ultimately, power kills the character of many who are critical of constructive criticism.
That's why I say that relying on the government will sometimes only make it harder for someone to progress, and we should find our own way to build a much better life.

There's no shame in working odd jobs as long as it can generate income. When we save that money and use it to start a business, it's much better because growth will slowly lead to the development of our business, and it may not be fast, as patience is needed, and consistency will shape the character of a more experienced individual.

Poverty is everywhere, it's first start from the state of mind and you can discover a poor person in any country, what only make the difference is the rate at which you discover days from a particular country than the other, today it is very possible that even in a developed country you discover there are some people that are very lazy to work.

I am saying this in public because it pains me when the citizens are suffering after electing the leaders in their various positions and offices. Most citizens in this country look for ways to emigrate for a better life and that only makes the situation of the country worst. People with ideas and talents do not have the support they need so seek for it outside of their country. Now it brings me down to the question "what are the leaders really leading"?

The underdeveloped countries are really going through a lot and apart from the bad leaders they have which are not moving the country in the right direction, most of the citizens are also very ignorant that’s why the government take advantage of them.
Most of this underdeveloped countries have resources that can actually develop these countries but most of their leaders use most of this resources for their personal interest while neglecting the masses from benefiting from it, that’s why even in bad economy and inflation, it doesn’t affect them but just the poor masses, since they divert public funds to their private accounts and everyday the rate of poverty keep increasing.

If the leaders were ready to create job opportunities, social amenities, increase in wages, good healthcare facilities, invest in education, security and more especially fight corruption, while ensuring a good governance, I’m very sure most of the underdeveloped countries would have been developing by now because they are up to the task.

I would disagree with that. Not because we do not need poor nations, we do, in order for wealthy nations like USA and China to exist, we need to have some poor nations. But even in the USA or in the China, where people are rich and the country overall is rich, there are poor people. So that means, in other nations we could have that too. There is no reason for a very small nation to not have one big company that employs a lot of people.

Or better yet, you do not need big companies to survive, Norway or Sweden is not known for having a global brand, and yet they are giving people a good life. You could always do what they do, which is not socialism, but not capitalism, it's something in the middle that allows everyone to be "good", not filthy rich, not poor on the streets.

What happened to China is a big change and all people hope for that, but it is not easy, because there must be a group that really works for the community, and the most important thing is that the law must be fixed about whoever is corrupt in a country, when the law is very fatal like what is applied in China it will be very good to give birth to new ambitions for the benefit of the country in the long run.

My country has almost the same problem and is stuck in a developing country, which I think the democratic system is not suitable for developing countries, because the problems are tightly coiled to the roots it takes a long time to fix it and it is not enough just 5 years in office and then change again to corrupt leaders, all the good systems before will be eliminated again and it will rotate continuously.

There is corruption in all system of countries but the degree at which it is abused different from each other. The underdeveloped countries has weaponise poverty and used that to calm the poor people, there is no voice for them, there is no backing, there is no where to fall back to, the politicians used that as an advantage to opress them so they don't have voice to defend their self, when they want to speak, they used money to use force against them.

During election when they can make good decisions, they get blinded again with the money politicians give them, it's onh during election you see the politicians give money and food to the people, that's when they make medical attention to the people and since the poor people lack these basic things, they forget about the pain they have went through and when the election is over, they all go back to their separate suffer life, that's bow the system has been for long and it's bad.

There were no countries who clean from the corruption even in the develop countries corruption is became an large issue so, this behaviour have exist everywhere but, if we speaking about underdeveloped countries indeed corruption can make the economy in these countries are worst and stuck because the countries like these dominated by poor people.
For every countries in the world i am sure the government always attempts to clean their countries from the corruption even in my country plenty of officials got in jail because of corruption but unfortunately, it's hard to make the country free from corruption that because it's human nature to always be greed that everytime they were seeing money they seems do not care and dare to do illegal act.

The part that is annoying is that the leaders will always have people that are loyal to them. Their supporters.

It is actually difficult for an underdeveloped country to leave such status to developing and developed country if bold step is not taken by either an individual or group of people. Like what is happening in Burkina Faso, I heard the military government has announced no foreign trip for health medication for politicians and others in the country, they have to stay back and make use of the health facilities in the country. That is how to rebuild a fallen country.

Since Captain Ibrahim Traore seized power, he has made efforts to lead Burkina Faso out of poverty and that is how underdeveloped countries can grow but if left with politicians, they will keep building favouritism around their corrupt cronies and embezzlement will be the order of the day.

I will be specific here in my country there are natural sources that can make the country one the best in Africa and in the world entirely if managed properly. But due to bad governance and the level of corruption in the country it has remain stagnant nothing is working; we repeat the same sentence every year that the country will be better one day meanwhile no hope if it is getting one day as we believe. Your points are correct and that is the major problem most of the countries are going through, bad and corrupt leaders don't only enrich themselves they also plan towards keeping a generational wealth from stolen public funds, in my observation those corrupt leaders are just being competitive in such a way that they don't want anyone close to having what they have, they always want to be respected and seen highly above others financially, they are happy seeing that others are suffering while they are enjoying, every good government leaders will always listen to the people want other than their own personal desires and once the bad ones assume position it is not always easy getting them off the position and that is why it is very rare to see underdeveloped countries that have or possess aboudant resources developing.
