I guess almost all gamblers had gone to this kind of phase that we need to change. Winning is really boosting confidence and thats where discipline got compromised thinking we can do winning easily but in gambling thats not how it works.

I remembered too when I got lucky when I am gambling and my moral is so high so I keep playing and realize that I am now losing more than that winning. Its really a messed up situation and ever since that I overcome that and only considering gambling as a form of entertainment.

I agree with your opinion bros, losing is not the only thing that makes things worse, it can even come from the conditions when we start winning, our self-confidence increases & we believe that whatever we do will end well. Believe it or not, I once flipped $10 into $700, it was an unreal experience for me, then I started playing with big bets of $2 - $4, but instead of getting bigger wins, it made me lose all my winnings & initial balance.

I think you are absolutely correct. I have noticed it too that controlling winning seems more difficult than controlling losing. In the sense that winnings sometimes can make a gambler to be too proud of himself and even  start felling on top of his game, and again sometimes this can also attack greed, over confidence, over hyping and so on. I have seen a friend of mine that won big in my very present and instead of him to back off and think of a better thing he can do with the money guest what he did, he increases his bet and when I try talking to him about it he told me that, that very day in question is for him so he need to take every single advantage of it. And to crown it all before he knows it he has lost almost 80% of the money before he knows it. So in enssence, what am saying is that winning most times can drive someone crazy and before you know or realize what is pretty going on  everything is gone.

That is true. A gambler who has just won big will possibly become reckless.

Why? It's because after a win, the thought of having a lot of ammo for the war will exist. A gambler will keep on betting, thinking there's more luck that he needs to take advantage of. Also, the optimistic thought that the big win can be repeated.
This is why withdrawal will be the key to avoiding it. Just leave enough money to gamble a bit and then walk away and enjoy the money first. Other options would be sending it to a loyal person (wife, best friend, mom). That way, you will have a hard time getting the money to gamble again.

Depend on gambler its self typical, if can controlling well the emotion actually easy quick after a big win and comeback next tomorrow day after the big win fund withdraw, personally if gambler have much experienced in gambling know more about when have quick from gambling exactly after big winning. But many gambler out controlling emotional after a big win keep trying accumulate and gambling as much as possibility until all big win fund loss, in my opinion gambling don't make your self blame and greedy after a big win position quick and withdraw all your big win fund and comeback at another day.

I fully quick more than several days and sometime until two week later spent out all a big win fund, after its over will back to gambling with limited allocated amount.

Yes, that feeling of illusion and not just confident, you feel that you have total control of everything. Games that you play and then at the back of your mind, in the end you are going to win it your way.

But that is the sad truth as it is just an illusion. It's all in our mind, and still base on your lucky you are. If you still have that luck then maybe you can stretch it. But as some point, the house edge is going to caught up with you and so you will go reckless and careless and you might lose everything including your bankroll. So it's very important that after your winning, you still have that discipline inside of you to not be carried away.

How can you stop when you're busy chasing losses. After one big win, you definitely have to keep going to hunt down those losses so as to recover them.

And let's say u left immediately, are you leaving forever? You're certainly going to come back. So it's a cycle that just keeps repeating, no escaping it.

Whether you go immediately after a big win, or you burn through it, you're still going to accumulate those losses and more at the end of it all. Unless after the big win you quit gambling for good.

Big wins or losses. All the same to me. Except one has money; the other has nothing. Big wins or losses again need self-control. Most gamblers become careless after a big win. The overjoy in it must have caused the excitement, thinking betting more will make them win.

I have seen people who became careless not really after a big win but after consecutive wins.. they became over confident in themselves and forget that nobody is 100% right at all time. The forgot about risk manage management and just as the money came, it went away faster than expected.. they staked more than they should have because they thought that the winning streak will continue... One thing that blind people too is the fact that they don't even appreciate their wi s they are always thinking about how much they could have made if I ly they staked higher. It's part of the game; most gamblers have experienced it. I experienced this as a newbie trying to extend my winning streak until I got busted. Gambling is full of temptation, and this is one of the temptations.
Part of the golden rule in gambling is never chase your losses and learn when to stop, preferably when you are winning. It takes experience to do that, but when you learn self-control, it will greatly benefit you

Yes, gamblers has become careless after a big win and it has lead to their bankruptcy. Winning has a spirit that will spore you to try again, and you are going to win if you could have won that big in the meantime and if you don't have self control and discipline yourself so well you become victim of winning big and in an twinkle of an eye you have lost back all your winnings to gambling I have seen and read cases like that on this board, I always advise people who win big to atleast stay off gambling for sometime and withdrew the one you have won and invest if possible.

If as a gambler and you find it difficult to accept loosing then you are in big trouble because you will continue to chase loose and keep wasting your money because you will never win to recover all you will loose I'm the process. I'm always careful not to experience winning big and going empty after winning so I practically take some time off playing after winning.

That's because of greed, or we see this as an opportunity to recover our previous losses, it's like hitting the iron while it's hot.

Many times... and will happen again for sure. It's not just about stopping when we are ahead... sometimes it's simple, trying some things with higher stakes. When we win some money, it's a unique opportunity to relax and buy a more expensive bonus, for example.

Ups & downs are a normal thing in gambling... and everything is fine as long as we play with amounts we can afford to spend on fun & games. In my little town, that’s exactly what happened: a man won a huge sum of money on the lottery, which was a good thing because he had a very hard going job; he won enough to mean he wouldn’t have to work ever again, for his childs too. Well, to avoid such a situation, I usually withdraw the winnings if they are close to the amount that satisfies me.
