Both winning and losing have similar effects on a player , with winning you experience that over confidence thinking you are invincible and will continue on this run and tend to increase your wagers in trying to maximum on your profit not until one loss wiped out all profits of the day  . Yes, some gamblers actually becomes careless after winning a huge amount and that's because of how the person's brain reward mechanism handled the win, we can agree that gambling is psychological game, so all these casinos that we are using already knows how most humans thinks and so they use that to keep most gamblers engaged in a moment when they are supposed to stop gambling after winning a huge amount. This really resonates with what happened to me and surely with almost every gambler who’s ever been in this position. Instead of confidence, i’d call it greed, a thirst for bigger wins, more profits, perhaps thinking luck would keep favoring them. The reality is, we all know exactly what the end result of this greed is, the total loss of all the money you have at that casino. I believe many peoples has gone through this in the start or after spending time in it and i think the one who win big in the starting faces big problems as compared to the one who losses big in the start because you said it as well that winning makes an illusion the person think he  figured out the game. He thinks its easy while the person who has more losses in the start  is more cautious he knows that one mistake and his money gone. I also face big win in the start few years back and i feel like i am the player and i have figured out i became over confident even i break my rules stop thinking about the bank roll management but then losses humbles me and i quit the gambling  . This happens to many gamblers. Sometimes a big win makes people feel overconfident and they start believing they can't lose. We often talk about self-control, but somehow in a rather one-sided way. Who hasn't? As a gambler, I'm pretty sure that every gambler must have experienced this thing at least once in their gambling journey, and it mostly happens in the initial stages when you are new to gambling and don't have much experience because when you start getting experienced and learn all the things over time, then you might learn to become patient and have more control over yourself and your emotions, but when you are new and inexperienced, you will surely think of trying your luck a bit more and you might win more if you have won this much, and obviously, we all know that the results won't be in your favour when you do that.

You can't be successful in gambling if you are a regular, but one thing that can make the experience at least somewhat enjoyable is to withdraw the funds whenever you profit, and use those funds to do something in real life instead of losing it back. You can do anything, treat yourself with something, buy some gifts for your family or closed ones, or even give something away to someone because that will also make you feel happy from the inside (if you are a good human being in general). If you keep doing this, you will realize that gambling isn't bad after all, it's just that we do the wrong things at the wrong times.

Confident is fine while gambling because it still determine boundaries but overcondifent is what makes gambling very dangerous. This is also the reason why most winning gambler ends up losing because they thought they are super lucky increasing the bet and disregarding risk.  The illusion of being very lucky and overconfident often ends up with chasing losses.

I agree, both winning and losing can become a problem to gambler.  Revenge gambling, chasing losses, and being emotionally triggered while trapped in an illusion of being very lucky has ruined many lives.

I agree with your opinion bros, losing is not the only thing that makes things worse, it can even come from the conditions when we start winning, our self-confidence increases & we believe that whatever we do will end well. Believe it or not, I once flipped $10 into $700, it was an unreal experience for me, then I started playing with big bets of $2 - $4, but instead of getting bigger wins, it made me lose all my winnings & initial balance.

You see that self confidence is part of things that deceive most of the gamblers, because once they win the like one bet they will be having confidence and hope that that’s how they will continue to they win where by the gambling doesn’t work in that way; they don’t know that nothing good last forever no matter how a person build his confidence reach in gambling should never rely on the win since winning doesn’t happen all the time; sometimes it happen once a week or month and that’s why it’s not good to depend on gambling because is high than the winning.
