Is it really possible to gamble only for fun?

Gambling is a game of fun when you understand it and your motive to gamble is not jist to make money from gambling,  it can also be consider as a game 9f fun. When you dont understand gambling you would just think it is a game to make money because of the expectation from gambling and the desperation to win from gambling by all means their will be nothing lije fun. It is game of fun to those who understand it and not expecting by all means from it but to some gamblers it is not fun but a game to make money.

Many people say gambling is just entertainment, but I wonder if that is really true for most gamblers.

At first maybe it is just for fun. Small bet, no pressure, just trying luck. But once we start winning or losing money, the feeling changes. If we win, we want more. If we lose, we want to recover it. So where is the fun there if our mind is already focused on profit or getting back what we lost?

Maybe gambling can be entertainment only if we already accept that the money we use is gone the moment we place the bet. But I think not many gamblers can really think like that, especially when the loss starts to hurt.

What about you, can you honestly say you gamble only for fun, or deep inside you still expect to win?

Every one who gambles for fun including myself still expect to win but the difference in our own expection is that it's not a priority, like the winning is not a do or die affair where if it doesn't come, we deposit more money simply for the purpose of chasing that loss to see if we can win it back and maybe plus more.

Someone who gambles for fun will easily and without any second thought move on from a failed gamble or bet, and like nothing happened also because I reality, nothing happened, it's only those who are all after the money that dwell on losses and some times even try to win loses back which most of the time get them into more loses.

And for the question of it is really possible to gamble only for fun, yes, it's very possible and I myself mostly gamble for fun.

Most would say the same thing including me but to carry out only to entertainment is not an easy thing because we need to restrain ourselves as best as possible so as not to exceed the limits that should remain just because of emotions when defeat occurs.

So in this case although I still believe that gambling is for fun but it does not mean that all gamblers can do this because sometimes the ambition to win when gambling takes place even no matter how much we have spent can always happen.
Therefore I always say that entertainment does not fully mean that I do not expect to win but this is used as a suggestion that when I lose, I should not be too affected and try to catch up with the losses that have occurred because this can make our boundaries and self-control loosen which makes addiction unavoidable.

All they have been saying that gambling is for fun is just nothing but fallacy. Everybody is gambling for the money and not for fun but the truth is that no one is ready to admit it. I know of several people who gamble for fun with miniscule amounts based on their salary and mostly do it for the thrill. If they end up winning a 5 bucks amount they'll just withdraw and buy their friend a coffee or something.

So yes out of the millions of people gambling many are actually just doing it for fun and nothing much more than that.
It's nothing extraordinary and you don't get to hear about it for this reason. The casinos still make money but mostly in the long run.

I don't consider gambling for fun as a repetitive task,  especially when am doing it more frequently online. When I would get to see it as fun is when am with friends or colleagues and we either take turns doing it, or do it together and in this case, it would be mostly in a real live center casino and a once in a while thing.
Anything online unless it's just spins and roulette or other games inclusive played during bored times or once in a while is fun, but when it becomes a daily affair that it is in the thoughts frequently and it is done for the win and glory of it, it isn't fun anymore but more like a hustle.

I have questioned this on the forum before too, well, in the end, there will be divisions in this, and it will be in four categories as shown:

1. Some gamblers are doing it to make money from it, desperate or not. This is where the majority lies.
2. Some gamblers are doing it to entertain themselves. They truly do not gamble for the money, and they represent a very insignificant portion of gamblers.
3. Some gamblers mix the two together.
4. While the last category lie about their stance about it or they do not know what they want.

In my own perspective no one will want to waste money only because he or she is gambling for fun. The most interesting part of every fun activities is when there are reasons to be happy with what you are doing, not bettered in the process of having fun. Money gotten from less labour or effortlessly would not be spent carelessly not to talk of funds gotten through labour and stress. So gambling for fun is good when winning are more than loses.

Even if you consciously log into your account with the intent of gambling for fun, there is still a high tendency that during your gameplay, you’re going to get carried away and you’ll start hoping that you win more and get something good from it and if things doesn’t go well you’ll fall back to the initial feeling of gambling for fun and then use that as a way to convince yourself that you never went there to make profit.

There are few times that you can gamble for fun, but you really can’t keep that mindset all the time. We all have competitive tastes and that is definitely going to push us to want to win our bets.

Yes, you can expect and wish to win, while gambling mainly for fun. The point is that you aren't going to chase losses or consider gambling to be an investment. You have a limited budget and you never go beyond this. I have known gamblers who lost money and still were fine about it after all, because they had a good time playing at slot machines along the night.

Meanwhile, there are those who are angry and frustrated about their losses. In that case, they shouldn't be gambling at all, because it stopped being entertaining for them.

Well, on my part I can always gamble for fun alone. I can also make money if I really intend to do so. That's the good thing about gambling, you can always gamble for fun, and sometimes gamble for income especially if you experience the winning streak.

However, when gamblers consistently acquire luck and make good amount of it, the idea of gambling for fun slowly fades. Because for them, gambling can only be more fun if there is more winnings, unfortunately gambling casinos will not allow us gamblers to keep winning. Both, I can have fun while expecting to have some win.
But if that win doesn't come, I'll accept it that I'm not a winner and that purpose of gambling for fun remains.
We can gamble for fun while thinking of some wins to come but don't expect that it will be the same every time we gamble.
When we lose, just accept it and enjoy every single penny that we spend for betting in sports we like or into casino games we follow.
