I realized this after winning a big amount and then trying to win the same thing again. You are right, it is not easy. In slots, you could see that every spin seems like it is avoiding you to win, and most that will be given looks like you are near winning, but it's not. That's also the reason why I don't believe in RNG anymore. I can see how that can be true as many people don't understand how hard gambling is until they lose money. Knowing what risks to take into account prior to betting is already a great benefit. To me gambling wasn't as simple as it seemed when I first found out how fast my emotions could get in the way of my decision making. Wins can lead to complacency and losses can spur a quest to recover lost funds. The greatest protection to your personal finances when gambling is to have a fixed limit of capital. I told this story before but I want to share it because that experience taught me the value of money and on how to approach gambling.

Back in ~2014, Valve announced that they will introduce the "crate and keys" system both on Dota 2 and CSGO where you would be able to receive crates as an in-game droppable item and purchase keys for real money. That quickly became the main currency of betting websites which totally dictated all the value of the weapon skins that you receive via crates.

Fast forward, I was able to earn some skins by betting them on csgolounge.com during that time. I traded those skins to keys which eventually yielded me 5 keys in total (I started from 0 basically). When I visited my friend, he told me that there was this steam bot that plays blackjack with you and the main currency to bet on were keys. In a span of 1 hour, I quickly gained 10 keys from playing.

At that time, I thought it was an infinite money glitch because I turned my 5 keys into 50 keys in total by betting on these steam gambling bots. However, everything turned 180 and spiraled out of control. When I lost 2 keys, I thought that I can quickly recover them by gambling again. Unfortunately, those 2 lost keys turned into 5, then 10, and then eventually I was left with nothing.

I never have such thought that gambling is easy to win, because someone that mentor me in gambling told me that gambling is not easy for those who are just joining gambling, because there are some challenge they will face before they will start winning to minimize their losses. You can start losing when you are new in gambling and start winning to recover all your losses when you understand gambling very well and encourage yourself not to quit for any reason.

If you want to remain in gambling long, no just quit gambling for loss reason, because there are some things you will be experiencing that will make you to learn what will boost your gambling wisdom never to lose again. When I first started gambling, I won consecutively in the first few bets. Even then, I had no experience or ability to analyze gambling, especially in sports betting. This was when my perception changed about gambling.
