This will be a good initiative if the proposal is approved by FIFA stake holders countries and I will like the next world cup to be hosted by a country that will not limit the numbers of fans from different countries of the world from participating like the way the United States had placed ban on some countries and fans from participating in the world cup.

You’re right about the opinion that we should be happy that small country now manage to enter the world cup. This is a dream come true just to qualify on this prestigious event.

Curaçao qualified into the World Cup to give free points to opponents, what just happened against Germany is nothing to write good abou how opportune they were to participate in the World Cup, they didn't make their qualification worthy, at least impress the viewers and prove a point that small countries shouldn't be underestimated at first.

7:1 loss to Germany, next game against Ecuador, my prediction is a loss for Curaçao, minimum of over 1.5.

this is too much and I hope this proposal won't be accepted. even current 48 teams seem too many for a competition of such a high level. although, perhaps the system for distributing World Cup quotas itself is flawed because many strong European teams are not participating while Curaçao, Haiti and Panama are playing. these teams clearly fail to meet high standards that World Cup should have by definition.

Curacao is the smallest country to ever qualify for the world cup. At some point it's ok to let them lose more gracefully. Germany could have warmed up their youngest players and give them some field time or something. There's no need to ridicule a small nation team

It was also a bit funny to see their name on the World Cup, because I'd always known that country was a place where casinos were licensed, and it turns out they have a national team and even qualified for the World Cup. Although people say they were lucky enough to qualify for the World Cup thanks to the new FIFA rules, it was still quite surprising for such a small country to appear in the World Cup.
But earlier, I saw that the match between Curaçao and Germany ended with Curaçao being completely thrashed by Germany, 7-1. I was quite surprised to see them in the world cup in the first place but as I understand it and others have pointed out, Fifa has decided to add more teams.  Although why they decided to do that is the real question. My guess is more profit. Although I would not be surprised if there was corruption involved in the decision.

One thing is for sure and that is most of the players in the Curacao national team have Dutch license. They were sourced because of their roots and the tussle of playing in the for team for Netherlands. A lot of facts has been spewed from the comments I read and am sure there wasn't corruption or fowl play contributing to their world cup qualifications.
 Am sure we would know how far they would go in this competition after their first leg encounter with Germany and am definitely betting on  over 2.5 in this match.

You're not wrong. The game ended with over 7.5 which is about 5+ from your over 2.5 prediction. Even though majority of the goals came from Germany (which are a superior team btw), I think it's important to highlight that a small team like Curaçao could get 1 past Germany and that's good to see. Just like I said earlier, Sooner or later, we might see an era of the world cup where small teams will have a genuine chance to win it. For instance see how Morocco outplayed a royalty like Brazil yesterday. With more small teams being added to the league with this new format, that is a possible outlook for the future world cups.

The problem is in FIFA they are too greedy and want a lot of money and they added more teams to the world cup and teams like Curacao got a chance to qualify and they did. Now we can see their quality and how bad they are. FIFA just wanted a lot more money from games and countries like this honestly dont deserve to play even if they qualified somehow.

Germany putted them at their place by just destroying them. I think Curacao wont concede this much against other teams in the group,but i doubt they will be able to get a draw or even win the rest of the games.

From the little piece I was able to decipher in his post, maybe he thought they shouldn't be in the world cup because they are the providers of a licensing regulation for thousands of casinos all around the world? Well, if they are a country then it is a Start of something new, they don't have to win or anything they just have to put themselves out there to at least show the world that they exist. Today is the first time some people are getting to know about Curacao. Even though losing might not come with a good feeling they are going to use this as an experience for them to play better next time.

I don't think Curaçao will make it out of the group stage. The good thing that will keep them motivated for a long time in football is that they have played in the World Cup to represent their continent. It's not easy. There are many countries bigger than them in population and land who haven't played in the World Cup before. But here they are representing their small country. It is something for them to be proud of, despite their humiliating defeat by Germany(7-1)
