This is not a right approach and we should appreceiate them for making it to the World Cup and winning games will be more positive for them not only for this tornament but also in the long run too.

I knew Curaçao because of the licenses, but it wasn't until yesterday that I found out that I would be playing in the World Cup and I became a little more interested in the island. It turns out that against all odds, they neither speak Portuguese nor belong to Brazil, but it is an old colony of the Netherlands apparently, and from what some friends told me today at a meal, the population must be quite poor.

I don't have hope that they will do very well in the World Cup, but at least it will help many of us to locate it on the map, and that is already a great advance for the country in my opinion.

Who is brave enough to bet on curacao today ? Livano Comenencia has just scored a goal for his team, and they are looking to attack the Germans. Curaçao just had one shot on target in the game till now and that was perfect.

I know that Germany are the favorite to win this game, but there are a few matches where one may bet on the underdog team with a low amount. I think today one may try a small bet on Curaçao and try their luck.

I have always considered FIFA to be a very corrupt organisation and my view about that has only gotten stronger.

That's true, it's good that FIFA has increased the number of participating countries to 48, I guess OP is surprised because Curacao is a small country but what he didn't check before asking why they qualified for the world Cup was that, they performed very well and came to the final round of CONCACAF qualifyer. So, it was not corruption as OP must have thought it was.

A country deserves a spot in the world cup if they record 7 wins, 3 draws, and 0 losses in the qualifications. Curaçao have a good chance to make the knockout stage because they are grouped with Germany, Ivory Coast and Ecuador. I believe FIFA is like a corrupt gang but Curaçao did not buy or cheat to get a world cup spot. They won the world cup qualification group so earned the right.

I agree with you. It would have been corruption if FIFA had just handed an automatic ticket just because they are a gambling island or something. I initially thought they were one of those teams that just got allowed but they are here now so everyone will have to deal with it. You just called Curaçao a country, and this left me wondering what kind of question you are asking, a country is a country no matter how big or small their population is, the entire country can even be made up of 20 people, and as long as they have a successful national football team that qualified in the qualifier round to play in the world Cup, why shouldn't such a country be allowed to play?

I honestly see no reason or whatsoever why Curaçao shouldn't be in the world Cup, they might be the smallest country or Island in terms of population but that's not an excuse at all, like I said before, so long as they have a successful national football team who won the  the world Cup qualifiers, then they deserve to be in the world Cup like every other country.

If OP is confused as to why Curaçao is in the world cup he should go back and watch their qualifying matches then he will confirm that they were not just allowed they merited it. FIFA only increased the number of countries that would participate for this year so may be if they had not increased it probably Curaçao wouldn't have been here. Germany is winning 3:1 now against Curaçao a lot of people never expected Curaçao to score against Germany but it they can score in this game may be we would see more of their good performance in their next game.

4-1 already. The obvious took place this time. Without any surprises, Germany is dominating the match. However, since Germany is playing quite loosely, there is still room for counter attacks from Curaçao. Maybe they can still score their second goal, although the chances of turning the tables are unlikely.
