What happened:: There is an ongoing campaign involving multiple accounts promoting a phishing link targeting Solana users on the forum. They promise easy profits and quick returns and encourage them to connect their wallets. Whenever one of their threads is removed or an account gets banned, they keep coming back with new accounts. Always verify the legitimacy of any website before interacting with it.

You can see that this type of scam was mentioned.

One of the most effective scam tactics is exploiting major global events. Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, TRM is already tracking multiple crypto scam typologies targeting fans, including fake ticketing sites, fixed-match betting schemes, scammers selling clone-ready phishing kits, and fan-branded meme coin promotions. Scammers seed fraud infrastructure weeks or months before major sporting events, then promote it aggressively as the date nears.

If I see this scam, I can easily know, but it is good that you bring it for people to know that the scam is real.

It would be foolish to believe this scam, some beginners might (try their luck), especially since they believe that this service might steal $20 and not their entire wallet balance.

The scammers tend to cling to popular events in hope of fishing up some victims, and at times they do get lucky with a few. The problem is we still have people who think that there are easy ways of making money through crypto, and those are the kind of people who fall for such cheap scams.

If it is too good to be true, it's probably a scam. It was too obvious, the free $400 is already suspicious, couple it with what I assume is a pop-up of "connect your wallet" that won't go away, which is very common on scam websites. Hopefully, no one fell for it.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

I have updated my thread with the account you pointed out and have also tagged it and reported the post where the phishing domain was promoted.

I will now submit a report to the domain registrar in an attempt to get the domain taken down and help protect potential victims.



While this may slow down their promotion efforts for a while, they can always return with a new domain. That is why raising awareness among community members remains the most important thing we can do.
