Without doubt and comparison Messi is one of the best players that has grace the football pitch with his magics and marvelous performance but let's not over hype him because Algeria is not actually in a good form now and we shouldn't also use a one game that he has performed well to come to a conclusion that there's no other best player in the tournament, Cristiano Ronaldo will play today and there has been speculation and pressure from the fan base due to the performance of Lionel Messi last night and all eyes will be on him to do better than what Messi showed up last night.

Messi has always proven himself to be the savior of the Argentine team and has always delivered when needed, the hype for Messi should be reduced. I love both players (Messi and Ronaldo) they are exceptional in their different ways and we should always show our respect for them due to the history they have created in football.

There is no doubt that Lionel Messi, is one of the greatest footballers ever, he is arguably the best and I give it to him for being composed about his great achievements on and off the pitch. He can be the GOAT and so far he has proven it in this world cup by showing that the Algerian defence is no match for his skills but then I think that it is still quite early to overrate him in this world cup, how far Argentina, will go with his support would determine whether truly he is the GOAT of the world cup. Maybe by the time we get to the semi finals we would have other players that can match his hat trick or even perform better but no matter what any players would perform in this world cup it will be difficult to match Messi, in overall football performance.

Yeah the OP might be pumped for his love for Messi and all that but he’s not totally wrong, Messi is the best thing that happened to football he’s not one of the best he’s the BEST by so many standards and if there was ever a comparison with anyone, it’s just people trying to use their love for a player cloud their judgement.

It is difficult to tell what kind of people are worse in the modern world, whether it is fans of singers, bands, movie stars, influencers, sport players or some other famous type of personality. They are integrating a meaningless thing, the act of idolization itself, into their own personal identity because their life is shallow and empty, that is why they want to artificially add value in ways that do not work. I was thinking he would not play up to that time because before the world cup, he was rumoured to have a minor hamstring issue, an surprised that healed pretty fast and performed to and beyond expectations.
