Are you following the Base ecosystem right now?

With all the talks and expectations around a possible Base token, I started watching the ecosystem more closely. Mostly I am looking at protocols that are already in the top by user activity, not just random small tokens with no real usage.

My current idea is simple: if hype around a Base token really starts, part of the liquidity may flow into the strongest Tier 1 tokens inside the Base ecosystem.

So I am thinking about choosing 1–3 tokens from the most active Base protocols and making a small bet on them before the bigger narrative starts.

Of course, this is only a hypothesis. Maybe the market will not react like that, or maybe most attention will go only to the Base token itself if it ever launches.

What do you think? Are you watching any Base ecosystem tokens or protocols?

I am taking a look at it since last year.

But I don't think it's their time yet. While it's true that if a hype comes out of it then that's likely to make things easier for it.

Although I don't want it to be seen that it became good and popular due to hype but it seems it's been part of the ecosystem as well for these projects.

I've been following the Token Base rumors but it hasn't happened yet. They are focused on building a broader ecosystem, creating many Apps and if Token Base is really released then the criteria is for those who are active in the ecosystem. On the DIscord Base channel the members are also optimistic that BASE will be released, there has been a role system implemented for a long time.
Q4 2026 should be a clear answer, but let's stay tuned because almost all L2 already have their own Tokens and only Base still doesn't have one so far.

Base ecosystem is heavily speculated among bounty and airdrop user for the past two years I mean the chain is fast built from OP mechanism that alredy battle proven and backed by big name Coinbase. So this chain is on everyone eyes. Front-running a native L2 token ecosystem by accumulation of its top-tier dApps is a proven alpha strategy. Yeah, there are news going around about their latest code which hinted a sybil resistant airdrop. I honestly don't know what's going to be the criteria for the Base TGE. Too many active wallet and the chain itself is quite mainstream.
If in Q4 2026 they decided to do a long awaited TGE, good for them.

Anyhow, I expect the criteria to be revolving around their products. People who repeatedly using their products and not just to farm, might be eligible for airdrop especially the one with good onchain reputation based on their tool or they simply reward active big players who consistently supply liquidity on their blockchain.

Because I'm also curious about the code they shared on github and it links it to a conbase account for verification. I haven't delved further but it's getting more and more impatient.
