My country pipo dem I throw way salute give all of una. As we know, dem say health naim be your biggest wealth for dis lyf, and na person wey dey healthy and alive dey fit gather both Money and wealth. So e dey very important say make we dey take good care of our health make we for fit dey alive enjoy d wealth wen e don com.
E go be like say I dey go corner corner and I never talk d main talk, now see where I dey go, HMO na health insurance scheme dem wey be say pipo dey pay small small money every month, or quater or even year so as to secure dia health, so dat incase body wori dem and dem no dey on funds dat period, dem fit enter hospital, receive treatment den go house, the scheme go cover am. I know say many pipo no too know about dis thing sha, e get d one wey government dey do and e also get d ones wey private individuals dey do too. Government own na NHIS while most private individuals dem dia own naim b d HMO.
Just some few additions, The National Health insurance Scheme (NHIS), has been upgraded to National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA). Again, HMO is not strictly for the private sector, they can be public too and they act to manage the primary health care providers. The NHIA also depends on the HMOs to deliver their mandates and these HMOs are the ones that assist to reassign health care providers in the event that you are away from your primary healthcare provider. That is, if you travel away from your base, it's on the approval of your HMO that you can take treatment in any other hospitals because they are incharge of managing the deductions or contributions you make for that purpose. That being said, it would be right to say that HMO is not only to the private sector neither is NHIA independent of HMOs.
So how Bitcoin go take enter dis mata now na be say I just dey think am, as we dey save Bitcoin abi na accumulate Bitcoin for d sake of our tomorrow, we fit dey run am too for our health, but diswan fit work mostly for private sector because our government no too put body for crypto mata, so I just dey reason am.
If you consider the fact that Bitcoin is a volatile asset, you would understand that it is not very advisable to safe bitcoin for health reasons, infact it's just like investing without having an emergency funds. If you do, you can run into losses and you know that if the HMOs accept bitcoin, at any point you make use of their facilities, you will be charged at the current rate and it could lead to several losses on your own side. So I won't advise anyone to save bitcoin for health purposes because your emergency funds are saved in fiats and a very accessible form. Imagine saving a #100,000 worth of bitcoin with your HMO when bitcoin was at $126k, if you go now to access treatment, you may only be able to access about #50,000 worth of service now that bitcoin is fluctuating at around the $63-64k.
I dey reason say if we fit get HMO wey dey accept Bitcoin or cryptocurrency generally e for sharp oh, because as we dey accumulate for our personal sef, we fit dey accumulate for our health too and as the Bitcoin dey gain valu dey go, na so the value of our insurance go dey big and cover for more health matters wey be say normally we for no fit afford. One oda better tin about dis scheme dem be say, if tomorrow person kick bucket, him pipo fit go claim d insurance and dem go pay dem based on d company policy, so dem go get something at least, instead say make all d Bitcoin dey one wallet wey no body fit access and e go just dia dia.
Firstly, good Idea!
But,
The Nigerian constitution has not fully backed bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies which makes them not a legal tender especially by government operated organisations. It is not going to be easy to attain such state because if HMOs start accepting bitcoin, then it should be charged in bitcoin and the charge should be fixed, not fluctuating with the price of bitcoin (but this is not possible). So it's better not practiced at all.
So I just dey think am if We country fot fit get HMO wey go dey accept cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin, den e fit be indirect accumulation abi na diversification of your accumlation in a way wey be say e go dey dey useful and also dey still fit serve as savings for future in your absence Tomorrow, just incase.
Recovering our money from banks and government agencies after death is not always as easy as it sounds. It's even better to save your bitcoin in your wallet and carve your seed phrase in a location where it would be discovered one day. This will allow your loved ones to access your bitcoin when you're gone.
If you listen to retirees stories about having access to their pension even when they are still alive, you will understand that you should not hope on any any of these agencies to release your bitcoin easily after you have gone. All insurance companies claim that they pay back all your funds to your next of kin after you've gone, but it's contrary to the reality. Most people have forfeited their loved ones pensions and gratuities out of frustrations from those agencies and even these insurance companies have so much rigorous processes to pass through before a percentage of the money is released to your loved ones.
My country pipo how una see dis mata? Una fit add una ideas join make we discuss.
Every body has their own opinions but I prefer saving my bitcoin where only me would control it, where I will not spend it when the price is down and where I can have access to whenever I want. Health is wealth and I think facing health challenges with the accepted legal tender will help mitigate the chances of spending my bitcoin at loss. Thanks.
