I like how overconfident about AI people are. I find it makes hilarious mistakes constantly and the danger is developers using it to write code they don’t understand. There will be a lot of hacks in the future as people trust AI slop online and try to build things without understanding the code being written.

We can do some good by stopping to overestimated AI capabilities in comparison to human and the things humans can do, think and feel. The AI technology may be improving gradually but it won't at any point get beyond human faculty because at the end of the day it's still humans that are building these AI and that AI building humans. Exposing oneself to scientific movies could make someone think this way. Although some discoveries were first showcased in some sci-fi movies, predicting that these AI creations would destroy the world is extreme. It might be used to carry out risky tasks that could subject humans to serious harm. But they will forever be under the control of humans.

I guess most of us only use AI for simple tasks like translation, news searching, coding assistance...Very few people actually use it in a deep way or truly understand it.

I don't think that AI is something to be worried about or concerned about whenever there is any technology revolution people always feel a bitconcerned and depressed as we have seen in the past that when computers were coming and became common then people started believing that they will eliminate the job of human being but they end up creating a whole new industry and million of new jobs positions, similarly AI is very powerful but it still depends on human being data and supervision even the ronots that can train at the robots are  designed by engineer and there are people who operate them and who create models for them, similarly teaching creativity there are certain decision taking related jobs there. Instead of being worried about that AI is going to replace human being work the only thing that AI is doing it is just changing the way we work the people have to learn new skills to cope up with the changing environment so they they can be easily adjusted without assuming that AI is replacing humanity.

So you can see that AI is changing how people work, but feel it will stop at assisting us?  If an AI develops a way to do 10x the work, will the company turn off the AI, or fire 9 workers?

I think in everything concerning development, there is alway what we call good and bad, which is why we I think there is a good side of AI and also a bad side of AI which means there is a huge advantage and disadvantage, personally I have said that AI is going to make so many people unemployed, just like what you have said, if there is a job that AI can do, why would you be employing people in that position because you absolutely wouldn’t need them anymore, the company will always fire the workers and employ AI on a full time basis job, would AI be getting paid then that is laughable.

I understand your concern because the rate at which AI is very competent and can give results within seconds should be a concern for anybody that it reasoning that AI is taking over jobs because of it's competence. With AI you will hardly need a human consultant or lecturer to guide you in your projects and directions because AI can give you in most cases accurate answers and directions within seconds and they don't charge you any fees. I had a project that Meta AI aided me so perfectly that I had to ask it if I'm actually chatting with a programmed machine.

AI will take more jobs in the future and that is certain so it is better that we start to prepare ourselves for the inevitable because with the way that technology is going it would be a matter of time before it becomes a total reality. If robots can train fellow robots with super intelligence that works faster than humans I think that we should be concerned but we humans have natural intelligence which I believe is capable of surviving and outsmarting AI.

Just unplug the power or stop feeding data update to them, and they are no different from a pile of scrap metal. There is no way AI will have emotions and ambitions like Ultron or Vision, as shown in the Marvel movies. They only operate within programmed and trained limit.

If there is any destruction of Earth related to AI, it would still be caused by humans and those behind them. Therefore, let's hope AI will not fall into the hands of those with malicious intentions or a lack of responsibility.

How very odd to point out trading robots specifically, when they aren't taking away from anything that actually contributes to value. Traders are basically leeching from everyone else creating value by speculating about it.

And i have a different issue of them taking teachers and lecturers, because AI wouldn't understand the concept and would get things wrong all the time. So whom would accept the responsibility when doctors and critical workers would be taught information that would cause people getting killed?

Currently any AI is just a magic trick subsided by most richest people alive. It's only when people lose their skills and are dependable on fast AI sloop, when they start really charging for it.

Before, it's said that it will be us humans that shall destroy the world. Reducing the natural resources, fighting with each other, poverty and all other factors that can destroy human lives and so as the world. This time, we're seeing how ai is emerging and it's doing some of what humans can do in terms of destruction. The scary thing is that it keeps on learning, and it is on a faster pace. While there are good uses that we can benefit from it, it can't be removed that there will be people who would be using it for their antics.

How often do you use AI in your everyday life?   I've had it organize all my documents and media, find conflicting comments from scammers, support my posts here with facts, and even help with my programming.  I've chronicled my journey in this thread.   While AI made a lot of mistakes at the start if you did not know how to prompt properly, projects like Bitlist prove that in competent hands, AI can help produce a competent product.

I am equally not comfortable too. At some point I believe that AI will not take job from human, that they will be useful to human to execute some multitasking job in oder to facilitate production, but the extent at which this AI is upgrading is getting me scared. The more I keep reading news about AI and it's upgrade the more I think of a movie I once watched, where A humanoid robot was trying to be human and seeing humans as inferior. It was really a battle before it was destroyed. Am just afraid that what happens in the movie shouldn't happen in real life.

Anything that has to do with human thinking cannot be done by AI because it lacks that reasoning faculty that made human which is the hand made of God superb than AI the human made. I agree with you AI does not have human mindset or emotions. AI can analyze information and give answer based by the way it’s been operate, but it cannot reason exactly as human beings that has feelings, personal experience and conscience. The end of the world cannot be  predict by certainty. However AI itself didn’t just wake up any morning and start doing things on its own. It is human that design it, decide how it will be use and they’re also the one who control it. As time goes on, we will continue to see more beautiful things that AI can create. But no matter how advanced AI becomes, it will always remain tools that human create. And it’s the same human that choose how it will be used to bring more benefits or more problems.

Regardless of how sophisticated these humanoids become, they will still need humans to function. There is no way they would be superior to humans. Humans will always be inferior to God; this is how robots will always be. My only concern is the use of these humanoids for warfare. These robots don't have emotions, so they will be brutal and dangerous on the war front.
