Block Zero Status Update — More Than 5,500 Blocks Mined
Stable Mainnet · Growing Chainwork · Working Infrastructure · Early Price Discovery
Block Zero has now been running for more than five weeks.
The mainnet launched at one precisely defined moment:
06.06.2026 — 06:06:06 UTCGenesis hash:
44c1a8c852b3eda21966e1ddb6b0807e22488dffe8a270bf24bf1fa2d66c13bd
There was no hidden mining period, no premine and no private head start. The genesis timestamp was the public starting point, and everyone began from the same block.
Since then, the chain has continued to grow block by block.
Every additional block increases the accumulated Proof-of-Work, extends the immutable chain history and makes reversing older transactions progressively more difficult.
Network Snapshot — 15 July 2026
Mainnet launch: 06.06.2026 06:06:06 UTC
Current block height: 5,515
Blocks mined: More than 5,500
Issued supply: Approximately 275,710 BLOZ
Maximum supply: 21,000,000 BLOZ
Supply issued: Approximately 1.31%
Proof-of-Work: RandomX
Mining hardware: Ordinary CPUs
Target block time: 10 minutes
Difficulty adjustment: Every 72 blocks (~12 hours)
Current difficulty: Approximately 0.035
Block reward: 50 BLOZ
Coinbase maturity: 100 blocks
First halving: Block 210,000
Expected first halving: Approximately June 2030
Current 7-day hashrate: Approximately 434 KH/s
Observed early range: Approximately 200–6,000 KH/s
Explorer-node peers: 25 connected peers
Node software: Bitcoin Core v31
Protocol version: 70016
Chain status: Fully synchronized
Blockchain data size: Approximately 7.5 MB
The hashrate has naturally fluctuated during the first weeks of the network.
We have observed periods around
200 KH/s as well as peaks above
6,000 KH/s — equivalent to more than 6 MH/s of RandomX CPU power.
These movements reflect miners joining, testing profitability, changing pools and moving hardware between RandomX networks.
The important point is that Block Zero continued producing blocks and automatically adjusting its mining difficulty throughout these changes.
The current seven-day network average is approximately
434 KH/s.
Because the difficulty is adjusted every 72 blocks, the network can react much faster to changing hashrate than a traditional 2,016-block Bitcoin adjustment period.
Wallet and Mining Software Status
The current public release is:
Block Zero v1.0.0-rc35
This release introduced an opt-in Mining tab directly inside the graphical wallet.
Windows users can now:
- Download one installer
- Install the Block Zero wallet with a double click
- Create their own native BLOZ address
- Open the integrated Mining tab
- Mine directly to their own wallet using their CPU
More experienced miners can continue using XMRig with the Block Zero RandomX implementation:
Algorithm: rx/blockzero
Pool: pool.bloz.org:3334
Username: bz1YOURADDRESS.worker
Password: x
The official pool currently offers:
- 0% pool fee
- PPLNS reward distribution
- 0.5 BLOZ minimum automatic payout
- No registration or account required
- Server-verified mining shares
- Native BLOZ payouts directly to the miner’s wallet
The wallet, node, integrated miner, external XMRig mining, pool payouts and blockchain synchronisation have now been operating reliably for some time.
So far, we have not encountered any critical problems with the current wallet or mining software during regular use.
This does not mean that software can never contain bugs. Block Zero remains young and continued testing is important.
However, reaching a point where users can install the wallet, synchronise the chain, mine, receive payouts and transfer coins without ongoing critical issues is an important milestone.
Stable infrastructure is less dramatic than announcing a new feature every day, but it is what a real blockchain needs.
Bitcoin-Core Foundation
Block Zero is an independent Layer-1 blockchain built on the modern
Bitcoin Core v31 codebase.
It retains the fundamental architecture that makes Bitcoin reliable:
- UTXO accounting model
- Bitcoin Script
- Segregated Witness — SegWit
- Taproot
- Native wallet and transaction system
- Peer-to-peer block propagation
- Predictable block rewards and halvings
- A fixed maximum supply of 21 million coins
The main difference is the mining algorithm.
Bitcoin uses SHA-256, which is now dominated by specialised ASIC mining farms.
Block Zero uses RandomX so ordinary desktops, laptops, workstations and home servers can participate competitively with their CPUs.
The goal is not to replace Bitcoin.
The goal is to recreate one part of early Bitcoin that has largely disappeared:
The ability to join a new Proof-of-Work network using a normal computer.
Growing Peer-to-Peer Network
At the time of this update, the public explorer node reports
25 connected peers, including connections from multiple countries and independent IP addresses.
This number represents peers visible to that specific public node. It should not be interpreted as a perfect count of every Block Zero node in existence, since private nodes, firewalled nodes and nodes connected through other peers may not all appear there.
Nevertheless, the peer list shows that the chain is no longer operating only between the original infrastructure servers.
Independent nodes are synchronising, relaying transactions and receiving new blocks through the Block Zero peer-to-peer network.
Supply and Dev & Growth Fund
Approximately
275,710 BLOZ have now entered circulation through Proof-of-Work mining.
This represents only around
1.31% of the maximum 21,000,000 BLOZ supply.
There was:
- No premine
- No presale
- No ICO
- No venture-capital allocation
- No private investor allocation
- No founder allocation created before launch
From block 1, native BLOZ entered circulation through open Proof-of-Work mining.
Starting from block 1,500, a transparent consensus-level
10% Dev & Growth Fund allocation supports the infrastructure needed by a modern cryptocurrency project.
The fund supports areas such as:
- Wallet development and builds
- Mining pools and mining software
- Explorer infrastructure
- Seed nodes and servers
- Bridge development and maintenance
- Documentation and user support
- Listings and market infrastructure
- Useful community-developed tools
The fund is part of the visible on-chain block-reward rules. It does not create additional inflation beyond the existing block subsidy.
Bridge and Wrapped BLOZ
Native BLOZ exists on the independent Block Zero blockchain.
For access to BNB Smart Chain liquidity, native BLOZ can be converted into
wBLOZ through the official bridge.
- BLOZ and wBLOZ are bridged at a 1:1 ratio
- Wrapped tokens are backed by native BLOZ in the bridge reserve
- The bridge currently charges a 0% bridge fee
- Users can wrap BLOZ and later unwrap wBLOZ back to the native chain
Official wBLOZ contract:

Always verify the official contract before interacting with any token or liquidity pool.
Early Market Development
The first
wBLOZ/USDT market is live on PancakeSwap V3 and can now be followed through GeckoTerminal.
At the time of this update, GeckoTerminal displayed approximately:
wBLOZ price: $0.01144
24-hour change: +171.52%
24-hour low: $0.004214
24-hour high: $0.01144
24-hour volume: $99.10
24-hour trades: 8
Pool liquidity: Approximately $196.83
Trading fee: 0.25%
Live chart:
The recent percentage increase looks significant, but these numbers require proper context.
This is still an extremely early market with low trading volume and limited liquidity. A relatively small purchase or sale can therefore move the displayed price substantially.
The current price should be understood as
early price discovery, not as a reliable valuation of a mature cryptocurrency network.
There is no promised value, guaranteed return or guaranteed future exchange listing.
The current focus remains:
- Keeping the chain stable
- Increasing independent mining participation
- Growing the peer-to-peer network
- Improving wallet usability
- Supporting community development
- Expanding distribution
- Gradually building healthier liquidity

The first phase was about proving that the chain could launch fairly and operate.
The next phase was about building the basic infrastructure: wallets, mining tools, pools, an explorer, a bridge and the first market.
Those components are now live.
The next stage is continued decentralisation and real ecosystem growth:
- More independent miners
- More public and private nodes
- Additional mining pools
- More community-created applications and tools
- Improved documentation and onboarding
- Broader distribution of native BLOZ
- More sustainable market liquidity
Block Zero is still very young, experimental and open source.
But it is no longer only a concept.
The mainnet is live. More than 5,500 blocks have been mined. The software is working. Miners are receiving native Proof-of-Work rewards. Nodes are connected. The bridge is operating. The first external market is active.
The foundation is running.
Now it is time to continue building on it.
