No, not really, I mean, from my own experience, if I experience a really bad loss, the loss bums me out enough that I'd stop gambling on my own for a bit.

By the way, even though I self-excluded from this one casino, I can still access other crypto casinos, so it does not really feel like a full self-exclusion. 

Is this a casino that we know here? I feel like if the casino is active here in the forum, it would be good to call them out and tell them to properly implement their self-exclusion.

I did forever wherever I applied it and I regret doing so because a casino where I was a top level and could have gotten more bonuses allround yearly by just depositing a little, their support comes with all sort of excuses to not reinstate my account, I told them to disable my account and they still have not done so. Crazy how power the management of the casino gives to this L1 low level support but that is the way it is. I moved on anyway to better greener pasture which is the casino in my signature as they come up only with new sorts of different bonused keeping me hooked.

I don't think you need to self exclude real long, but it's a good idea to take whatever break to cool off. I always handled it in a easy way on stake, after a bad loss I set a wager/loss limit to 1 cent. This limit is in effect immediately and stays for at least 24 hours. When you cancel it, it will still take 24 hours to be totally gone.
It's nice to have options like this that protect you from yourself. Other sited require you to send an email or something, which is valuable time where a player might lose even more (guess that's what they want).

Look at how winna for example handles this, they don't even have a tab or something you can click to self exclude, smh.

This is part of responsible gambling because you recognized that you had a problem, that is why you activated self-exclusion, and that is also the reason why casinos are required to have this feature, it should not be something that a gambler has to wait for days before it gets activated because the problem is serious and it requires serious action.

As for me, I think I would not do that and I hope it will not come into my mind because that would mean the end of gambling for me, although you say there are other casinos available, that is like betraying yourself.

This is exactly the reason why I don't self-exclude myself from a casino because how many am I going to apply self-exclusion on when we have varieties of options?

What I just do is discipline myself and avoid gambling for a long period of time. I could remember a period I was on a losing streak, and I disabled most things related to gambling on my phone, and I stayed almost 6 months without playing any single game.

I have not used the self-exclusion option of any casino and I don't think I will need to use it because I can deliberately take a break from gambling when I see reason to do that. I have stayed away from gambling for about a month when I realised that I wasn't making much progress and the losses was consistent. The break helped me refresh my memory,  refine my expectations and also work on my strategy. I think if the need arise, I can repeat such for one or two months.

I think someone who would think of self-excluding themselves from gambling would no longer care about the bonuses, for them it is already the last option to stop losing in casinos. It may be a dumb decision for responsible gamblers because who would not want bonuses, right, but for someone who is already struggling, that is the best decision to make to prevent the problem from getting bigger.

This happened many times and I decided to voluntarily abstain and took a long break from gambling. I spent time in such situations where I would gamble beyond my allocated funds and borrow money but could not recover the money. The positive side of voluntarily abstaining from gambling is that I prepared myself mentally at that time. How many of us can make a decision of self-exclusion after losing, because as for me, this is not the first time I will be losinga bit in gambling and I don't think I must make such decision, as a conscious Gambler that knows what is best for himself, we don't need to self exclude ourselves from gambling before we can do the right thing or get it right, I may decided to take some break open other decisions entirely different from this, but not when I lose and try to give some space to gambling and denied myself of having fun.

I usually stop gambling for a period of time if I have several unsuccessful bets in a row. The feeling of not wanting to experience that sense of being a loser again takes away my desire to play for a while. But after some time, that feeling fades and gets forgotten, and when the right moment comes and I have some free time, I may go back to gambling again.

If a gambler decides to self exclude a particular casino that he had big loss does that solve any problem, and come to think of it, was the casino responsible for whomever loss, you were the one that deposited money, you played your game and wasn't lucky why the show of aggression by self excluding yourself, what I think such gambler would've done is to get some rest for awhile if he's much pained because of the loss, then he can come back later if he wants, although it is also his decision to stay off from a particular casino for the number of months he wants but as long as he gambles in other casinos, losing will still be encountered, for me self exclusion is not an option for me , I gamble within my power so I may not have an idea how someone that had a big loss reacts although the feeling can't be nice.

But if you think self-exclusion is the way to hold you from gambling, you should doing that and not delay too long.

If you only self-exclusion to one casino, that will not work as you can still play gambling in other casinos. You should set your minds not gambling from any casino because you want to prevents from gambling addiction.

I have once self excluded myself from a local casino here in my country is a fiat casino and after sometimes I still feel the urge to gamble on that casino again but was nit able to due to the current self exclusion order in action.

if you have a bad loss for sure its better to analyze the issue and what lead to this. self exclusion is tricky.
I find definitely disquisible in all aspects and I would never feel confident... after one exclusion you can just get hooked in a new website or another gambling platform.
I have even seen many players trying to exploit this feature trying to play and "hakcing the system".  Definitely the worst of the worst...

If we do not have control over yourself, we may have to make such decisions frequently. Just we need to understand how much lose  we can tolerate and how much betting amount will not make any problem our financial condition . I was addicted at one time and spent all my money on gambling. I even went into debt to many people. Then I gave up gambling for a while. I stopped playing from all types of casino sites and stopped gambling completely. After that, it took me a long time to get myself back to where I was before. Now I bet with a very small amount that does not harm me financially. I bet completely calmly. I am currently enjoying betting on the World Cup. Although I have lost a few, my losses are still high, but it is still bearable. I am betting regularly with small amounts now. Which gives me a lot of joy. And I would advise everyone new to always continue to bet responsibly.

If I can only choose which gambling site I want to be excluded from, and I experienced a very bad loss that made me think they are playing unfairly, I would probably go for a lifetime exclusion.

I have not used the self-exclude option in our local online casinos because it tells me that I must go to the main gambling government website to apply for it. I have not yet tried it because I was too lazy to do it, but I am guessing I will be self-excluded from all the local online casinos that are regulated by the country.

Yes, it comes to my mind every time. Not only after a big loss—even if it’s a small loss, I definitely feel sad and take a temporary break from gambling. After all, it’s my hard-earned money, so it’s natural to feel disappointed.

I do not really consider self exclusion in gambling because it feels like defeat to me so the best thing I could do would be to take a break from gambling and come back whenever the odds feels right.

Self exclusion is a bit pathetic I would say, it demonstrates the lack of discipline that breaks one down after a massive loss. I have seen a case of someone who self excluded himself for a month and couldn't hold on till the end of the month but had to gamble with a friend's account. Self exclusion without discipline is synonymous to a sickness without a cure.

You have the discipline to be able to take a break for one month without gambling.

We all get disappointed sometimes, but to make a decision that way probably means we gambled a one-month amount in just one game, so we stop for a month.

But for OP, that was 1 year, good luck to that, the casinos you self-exclude from will no longer make money from you, but that does not mean other casinos will not hehe. You have been here in the forum for a while, for sure you already know a lot of casinos, so it is not hard for you to come back, just on a different casino.

I can go for self-exclusion on my own without going for self-exclusion on any gambling site. I have not gone for self-exclusion before for this reason.

But for people that are unable to do it without the gambling site can do as you did, but the best self-exclusion should be from your mind, and it indicates you are able to control your gambling activities.

Also it is good to bet with little amount of money.  The last one I bet on was Portugal to win despite that I did not want to bet on any world cup match, but they draw. It was with s little amount of money that I can afford to lose.

It's good to practice self-exclusion on your own so that it will make your gambling activities earlier to control. These are the things that gamblers need to do sometimes because discipline is very important for us. Though it's not bad if we take a self-exclusion on a gambling site, at least it will prevent us from unnecessary things. Yes, it's much more important to gamble with small amount of money that you know wouldn't bring pain for youafter losing it since gambling is all about spending.
