After a bad loss, does self-exclusion ever come into your mind?
It always comes into my mind to completely stop from gambling every time I experience a huge loss. The problem is, it only gets stuck at the thought of quitting but I never really took action on doing something about it. I always tend to tell myself to stop but my inaction or loss of motivation to self-exclude myself into different gambling platforms speaks on how I badly want to recover my losses. I have once self excluded myself from a local casino here in my country is a fiat casino and after sometimes I still feel the urge to gamble on that casino again but was nit able to due to the current self exclusion order in action.
I went on to register on another casino I gamble and lost again, at that point I realised that the main self exclusion comes from within that is self determination to stay awafrom gambling.
This is what I am currently experiencing. I have that urge to self-exclude myself but it fails to materialize at some point. Like I feel like I can recover these losses by betting again but at the back of my head, I know that this would be near impossible to do so.

After a bad loss, does self-exclusion ever come into your mind? This happened to me last night. I had a very bad run, like literally my whole bankroll was gone so I decided to self-exclude so I will never touch that casino again. It is just one casino only and I chose to self-exclude for one year. How about the gamblers here, if you decide to self-exclude how long do you usually apply it for? 1 month, 6 months, 1 year, or lifetime? By the way, even though I self-excluded from this one casino, I can still access other crypto casinos, so it does not really feel like a full self-exclusion. You already added my point in your thread. I never felt like I would get a self-exclusion. It is because of the simple reason, there are too many available options. Even if I get self-excluded from one casino, then there are dozens more casinos where I can gamble if I want. So, there is no benefits self-excluding myself from one casino. However, after a loss, I planned not to gamble for a while, and I myself kept this promise. I am personally can control myself and I did not tried to recover my big loss with another deposit. I know how gambling works and I know that I can even loss more by making another deposit while trying to recover the previous loss.

Honestly self exclusion can be a useful step to take, especially when you realizes that your emotions is beginning to control your decisions. Most times the break is not about the casino itself, but more about giving yourself the time to clear or reset the mindset after a difficult loss. What matters most is that, if the urge to gamble is still much strong, excluding from one Casino can not solve the problem completely rather it's the mindset behind the decision and discipline to stay with that matter most.

Exclude yourself from gambling until you are financially in a position where you can free up some money again in your budget for gambling. You should not force yourself to try gambling again by increasing your budget after you've encountered a loss because that is merely revenge gambling, and it would only lead to more losses. The period from the loss to when you have enough money to be able to budget gambling again should give you enough time to rethink your options and the reason why you formerly failed so that you can make better decisions this time and increase your chances of winning.

Even if at first it seems that the decision to exclude oneself from a single site does not make sense, in reality it makes a lot, because, even if we don't want to accept it, in general, many of the decisions we make on a daily basis are based on emotions. And if you had such a bad experience in that casino, it is natural that you have negative feelings and have put the means to avoid it. If you ask me, personally nothing like this has ever happened to me, and I've only used the self-exclusion for the purpose of testing how it works. In general, I don't get carried away to the point of improvising in that way, and if my whole bankroll runs out, it will be after having measured and accepted the risks and having foreseen that this could happen.

I only used it once, and yes, it's pretty useless when you can pick another casino to play at, but at least it's easy to erase the memory of losing there. The longest I can self-exclude is 60 days; by then, every bad memory from that casino is still fresh, but I make sure I don't spend large sums there, as I don't want a repeat of what happened.

Even though it was long ago, I still cant get out of my mind two huge losses that I had. I have lost 300 or 400 bucks in crash game , then immediately made similar bet again and lost it next second.
That was a huge loss man, especially if it is not really within our gambling range, we would really feel disappointed with ourselves and think how stupid we were for not controlling ourselves. I had a big loss as well but not that amount, I think my biggest single loss was just around $200, but that was in sports betting and it took like 3 hours before I lost that money. But your game was quick, so it would really feel more regrettable.

After a bad loss, does self-exclusion ever come into your mind?
In the world of gambling, winning and losing are indeed two things that cannot be separated, where sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, that is everyday food in the gambling arena. Maybe I have been involved in the gambling arena for a long time, but at this time I have never carried out the process of "self-exclusion" of course I have reasons for all of that. Before I registered on a gambling site, of course I was very clear, if I had entered into gambling of course I was in the game, meaning in the game there were definite losers and winners, so I have instilled this trait in myself to this day. That's the reason, until now I haven't gambled and risked large amounts of money, so I've never lost big and never won large amounts, This means that I can take responsibility for what I experienced, the conclusion is that I should not and do not need to carry out self-exclusion, I am gambling safely for myself.

It all depends on how much I lost, and whether I lost all my money or not. It is an emotional decision, when any gambler loses a lot, he becomes emotional, then he makes some decisions that he is not in a position to think properly. And when the gambler gets money again, he forgets the sorrow of that loss and deposits it again in the casino. So self-exclude will not be of any use, that gambler will start gambling in another casino again. So I think no matter how much money I lose gambling, I will gamble again when I have money again, so there is no specific time for that.

By the way, even though I self-excluded from this one casino, I can still access other crypto casinos, so it does not really feel like a full self-exclusion. I never done that before, if you can access other casinos, how does it exclude you from gambling, is the casino offering enticing bonuses and cashbacks that will attract you into wagering huge amounts again? I don't think temporarily excluding yourself from the casino is of any helpful benefits, there are many casinos offering similar or better bonus, if you can't control your urge, you definitely will find another convenient casino to do the same.

It is good to take measures when you noticed that you no longer can control yourself from gambling. Self exclusion can go along way to apply for if you only use one casino but the truth is that there are other casinos which one would definitely be tempted to play with which is the reality and not these self exclusion of a thing. It takes a disciplined player to properly self exclude themselves without applying to the casino for it. As for me, I can self exclude myself from casino without applying for self exclusion from a casino as I am not a gambling addict, I have set control and disciplined as to be able to call it a quit whenever the need arises.

You might be having another bad loss the next day, the next week, or the next month on the other casino, so it does not makes sense really. It's better if you just adjust your betting limit and stick to it, if you'll lose, at least you'll only lose a manageable amount which is a normal thing with gambling. But having self-exclusion on just a single casino will not prevent yourself from another bad loss in the future, you just get rid of the casino where you gained a painful loss.
However, I have never done self-exclusion from casinos yet. I can still be of my best self when it comes to emotional control and controlling my urge in gambling.

By the way, even though I self-excluded from this one casino, I can still access other crypto casinos, so it does not really feel like a full self-exclusion. What you're doing is just avoiding playing at casinos that bring you bad luck. But that's not a problem, I personally don't do it. I just leave a casino like that and don't go back. In situations like that, I might feel cheated by the games at that casino because of a pretty long losing streak. Trying another casino sometimes brings new luck.

After a bad loss, does self-exclusion ever come into your mind? No, I never used a self-exclusion feature of any casino, because if you love to gamble, you can always find a casino that suits you to play, so it's nonsense, I prefer to self-exclude of my own. If you really don't want to gamble, you always can if you have the will to do that. Stopping, exclusion, or taking a vacation should be based on your decision and on your own will, not coming from a useless feature.

I've done it in the past, but only when it comes to poker because it's the one gambling thing that can suck up my attention for 2-3 days straight which always seems to go the same way. Feeling extra sharp on the first day and manage to take a bunch of cash, probably in part because all of the statistics programs don't have a read on this new user and people cannot react to your volatility like they would against other players. Second day goes ok but the grind feeling usually starts to set in at this point, where I start to feel greedy or the quality of play drops off maybe because I'm not used to the long hours or found the right "work" pattern. Then the third day usually involves giving back all the gains and feeling a bit glum, then swearing off the game by seeking out the self exclude option. It works.

Yes, I think that's what every responsible gambler would do when they find themselves in such situation. Personally I do that most at times especially when my bankroll is exhausted, not that I don't have money to refill it but I feel like doing that immediately would make me an irresponsible gambler that is why i usually take a break for at least 3 weeks. i only do this twice then the rest was 1-2 weeks.I have never apply Self exclusion for one month talk more of 1 Year, if I do that I might forget about gambling before the break will be over.

The truth is that we all think of this after losing an amount of money that affects us but for most gamblers the feeling doesn't last for long because they still go back to Gambling irresponsibly after a while. The best to do in order to avoid such mixed feelings or regrets always stake an amount of money that you can afford to lose so you don't feel terrible in case you end up losing.

You can play the same game across almost every casino and see a difference in how each casino pays out, RTP so to speak. There are some casinos I feel are shit and super hard to win on. You can open the description of the same slot across most casinos as well and see the RTP on that site. If you compare the % you will see a difference and should probably avoid the sites that have the lower RTP on the same game. What I am saying is, if I find a casino is harder to win at vs others, I stop visiting that site as they are just sucking players dry. You can win, but your odds are much lower so why give them any money? Just leave/self exclude for life and move on from the bad casinos.

If you really don't want to gamble, you always can if you have the will to do that. Stopping, exclusion, or taking a vacation should be based on your decision and on your own will, not coming from a useless feature. Same here. Self exclusion to me is just like a band aid that isn't a real treatment until there is rot. The best thing I have done so far after encountering so much loss in gambling is to stop gambling or to simply delete the application or platform from my device. Using self exclusion always makes you see the platform on display and brings back old memories and mind you, if you can't control yourself and seek self exclusion, it might mean you have become addicted in a way that is beyond the eyes and that's a problem on its own.
