can social media influencers really not be regulated
I think it's very possible to regulate them. They'll stop doing that when the government puts a penalty to whoever is found to be advertising gambling ads.

The regulation should include to the right and legal ages where it can be shown.

If they're tough and not following the regulations, they have to pay the penalties that will be put into them.
The government that sanctions anyone who advertises gambling is the right step but maybe this applies to countries that prohibit gambling to be carried out such as for example against the majority of their religion and with countries that legalize gambling I think there are no restrictions that need to be done for the casino itself they have to market it with reasonable marketing but if it is excessive then the government must act not just silent even though gambling is legalized in their country and for countries that prohibit gambling as I have said it should be the duty of the government to pay attention to the internet world so that gambling advertisements do not escape and spread on the internet or social media.

When a gambler is already addicted to gambling, when they see various influencers encouraging gambling, they become more interested in gambling. In that case, most of the time they choose the wrong platform and instead have to face bigger losses.
I think influencers are not very aware of the authenticity and stability of the sites before promoting them, they often promote some negative platforms in exchange for some money. It is always risky, be it gambling sites or any other product. In that case, I would say that influencers need to be more aware of this, since they have many fan followers and many people like them, so it is their responsibility to ensure that what they are promoting is suitable for the common people.

I just want to share this news and ask for your opinion because I do not really see gambling advertisements being regulated well in our country.

Maybe for legitimate TV ads, they pass through the right process first before they are shown, but when it comes to vloggers and social media influencers, I do not think there is enough regulation there.

Some of them even encourage gamblers to play and sign up using their links, making it look like people can easily win if they join through them, and until now I think this is still happening. In this news, one man reportedly lost around £80,000 because of gambling debt, and now he is asking for more control over gambling advertisements, especially during big sports events like the World Cup.

Quote
A man who ran up about £80,000 of gambling debt is calling for more to be done around gambling advertisements, amid coverage of the football World Cup.

Source: https://www.aol.com/articles/man-lost-80k-gambling-urges-065827000.html

So my question is, can social media influencers really not be regulated, or maybe in some countries they are already regulated and it is just not properly enforced in ours?
Wait, you said a man, not a boy or teenager, or an underaged, well, I believe every grown up ass man should always get his shit right and stop or don't blame the government or lack of proper regulations for their own mistake, one question I always ask in this type of situation is, if this man in the story had won £80,000 or more instead of losing, would he have called for this same more to be done in terms of gambling advertisements regulation?

Many people are nothing but hypocritics, it's always when they have lost a huge amount of money that they remember that one thing or the other is wrong with that system, but when they were winning, no complain about nothing, I don't take people like this seriously.
Now, I am not saying the government shouldn't be up and doing in their work of regulation, but gamblers who lost money and then remember they have to call for more regulations are nothing but being hypocritical.

You know, despite the fact that TV channel can be regulated on the kinds of ads they advertise, it doesn't still mean that a newbie who sees such ads and decide to gamble on that casino will not experience losses. So, social media gambling ads is regulated or not, there will still be those individuals who will let themselves lose a huge amount like the one you mentioned. I think one of the reasons of regulating those ads is to prevent illegal and scam casino to be publicized, but if it's a legal casino that is being advertised, I think it will be allowed and people will stop lose money.

The truth is that wether it being regulated or not people will still loose money but I am of the opinion that regulated add would help reduce scams. Most of these add are scan casinos the advertise and people not really having the knowledge about it would go play on it and lose their funds not knowing that the casino is a scam casino with fake mechanisms to steal from players that are not knowledgeable about the system and this is why most of the people who registered with casinos through some of these adds loss so much just like the guy that was said lost €80,000 on one of the casino's he registered through add he saw online.

I think tailoring gambling advertising on TV to suit the target audience is more difficult than internet advertising, by which I mean there is no audience information that can be extracted from which to base a viewing algorithm. Unless all gambling related advertising on TV should be banned like my country.

In my country, social media advertises gambling recklessly and when a celebrity advertises with the positive aspects of gambling, people naturally show interest in that advertisement
I'm curious about the form of advertising. In my country, gambling advertisements appear on the internet as if they are marketed by celebrities, even though they are all made by AI and are completely fake.

All forms of advertising should be regulated by the government and provide sanctions for violators as a form of protection that is not the target market, especially gambling that cannot be accessed by minors, like in my country about cigarettes, Because gambling is completely prohibited in any case but cigarettes can still be accessed by more mature people and the advertisements always air more than 11 pm on TV, this is so that children under the age of not watching TV because they should have been stuck at such hours, and also in practice the advertisement does not show someone smoking but rather an activity and only advertises the name.

Since gambling is illegal and strictly prohibited in the country where I live, even if someone is found to be involved in gambling, the government has provided severe punishment for him, so there is no question of social media advertisement being regulated, but I think in most countries social media ads are not regulated, influencers promote any gambling site they want, even if it is a scam site, they don't care, they get big amount. We always see many scam casino site advertisements in our country and on social media, but 90% of them are scam gambling sites, so newbies and experienced gamblers should check the site before signing up and depositing, otherwise they will face big losses at any moment, as I learned from this news that a person has faced such a big loss. I think it is his weakness because he deposited without any verification.

It should be regulated since social media is open for all people both gambler and non gambler which means there are people in there that shouldn’t see a gambling promotion.

Best example here are influencers with content that usually being watch by a minor like gaming niche. They usually accept gambling promotion offer due to high payout regardless if their audience is not suitable for gambling.

Regulating gambling promotion on social media will help vulnerable people to avoid gambling.

I feel the bigger responsibility should fall on parents and guardians. Social media is full of all kinds of content and it is impossible to expect influencers to raise other peoples children. Most influencers are simply trying to earn a living through legal advertisements, which is far better than engaging in scams or criminal activities. Of course, gambling ads should not directly target minors, but parents also need to monitor what their children watch online. If a teenager is constantly watching gambling streams or casino promotions, it is the responsibility of the guardian to step in and guide them.

Social media influencers have the limit to how they advertise casinos in their profiles, and some of them put disclaimer to tell the public it is not theirs and just an ambassador of them, so anything that’s relating to fraud or scam accusations from the casino that can lead to lawful actions by the government should be to the casino owners and not them. I don’t think these media influencers are to be blamed mostly, we know they’re not part of them and the casino is just using them as a means of advertising to promote their casino which their followers will most likely sign up through them.

As long as you’re 18 and above, casinos do say gamble responsibly. So if you become greedy or gamble aimlessly, you’re to be blamed and not point fingers on who advertises the casino. The only problem is those adverts be regulated not to reach minors, because they’re easily influenced and can cause some kind of emotional control to make them wanna try it out which is not good for them at that age. This man didn’t do what is right, he’s to blame himself though and be more careful next time. Calling out more strict regulations isn’t bad, but you also have your role to play as a gambler to not lose big money like this.

In my country,it isn’t regulated it is left for you as a gambler to decide whether to proceed with the influencer’s statement or not.Probably, those countries that have banned gambling wouldn’t permit influencers to promote casinos on social media platforms since it isn’t allowed. Those influencers would always convince individuals to use their promo code to place a bet and tell them they would get a high chance of winning, they’re only branding for the casino and they’ll get paid for as long as they fetch a lot of audience, you might get tempted to try it but it wouldn’t be ideal if you use a huge amount of money on the first try,all because an influencer has said the chances of winning is high if you use their referral or promo code. This marketing strategy is always used by casinos to gain more customers through the help of influencers.

His is a big problem that I think it should be regulated. There is a gambling platform that is famous for recruiting celebrities and social media influencers even when there are rumours that they are not reliable. Due to their engagement of influencers, a lot of people flock to their platform, even people who do not gamble are sometimes convinced to gamble in solidarity with their celebrities.  Some of them get roasted in the process because thet lack the discipline needed to manage gambling. If the activities of influencers are not controlled, they will cause more problem than we can imagine.

The problem is that the only thing being regulated about influencers is whether the casinos they promote are licensed or not (at least in our country). I think they should also add strict guidelines about the contents of the advertisement. In terms of enforcement, the CICC has been pretty active in taking down the pages of social media influencers who are promoting illegal online gambling. Just 3 months ago, they have filed cases against 10 more influencers: Cases endorsed vs 10 influencers over illegal gambling promotion — CICC

One thing is that we have to realize government cannot regulate everything under their jurisdiction, has gamblers, we should know what we want and also take responsibility to every decision we make, because nobody is forcing us to anything except we choose to take those steps on our own, influencers may not be regulated in most of the developing countries because everyone have free access to the use of internet to promote anything they are being signed to do, every individual should only know what is best for them and the one they should avoid.

I feel the bigger responsibility should fall on parents and guardians. Social media is full of all kinds of content and it is impossible to expect influencers to raise other peoples children.
Most social media have implemented a minimum age limit to register (although in reality this limit can be passed), I think underage children rarely get exposure to gambling advertisements. Actually, game apps are more of an advertising haven than social media. Especially games for all ages; Gambling ads will not be filtered.

I will base our experience here in our country, yes, they should be regulated because media influencers tend to be deceptive in their ads. This is what actually happened in our country because of their deceptive ads, they lured many people to gamble with their promised that they could change their lives for a small amount.

But we all know that's not going to happen, gambling is not a cash cow, but it's too late for them to find out, they already lost a lot of money because of these influencers' deceptive ads.

The UK has increased the age to social media access to sixteen and other countries are also tilting towards reducing the exposure of children to social media. These influencers come up with ads that could easily lure underage people to gambling. Sometime my little neices use my phone for research or other things. They keep asking me questions about casino ads that pop up every time. And some of these gambling promoters are well-known celebrities whom these children adore.

Since the focus is on social media influencers, the government should be able to monitor the video activities they publish. If their marketing methods were done fairly, maybe there wouldn’t be any problems. After all, their target is to get more people to register and play on the gambling sites they promote. It all just depends on how they convince people.
Of course, all ads should be monitored, not just those that advertise on TV. These days, there are more social media users than TV viewers. The government, with its regulations, definitely needs to figure out how to keep an eye on social media influencers.

There are restrictions on television advertising, it is not possible to impose such restrictions on social media. But there should definitely be some restrictions. Especially those who are minors, they may believe the fake advertisements on social media and later suffer great losses. If the governments or those platforms do not try to stop the advertising of such advertisements without any reason, then the common people will suffer a lot. The purpose of creating social media is to establish good communication among everyone, but when someone is affected by gambling, they will later blame the gambling platform. If those who are responsible for controlling these media can at least make a provision for viewing those advertisements by considering the age, then I think it will be difficult to control such a situation.

Here in my country, gambling has been legal for over 20 years, so the government allows casinos and betting shops to place advertisements wherever they want, as long as they are designated advertising locations in the city or districts. However, when it comes to television, newspapers, social media, and influencers, casinos and betting shops in my country are allowed to pay for advertisements on these platforms, and they only need to include warnings that it is prohibited for minors and that people gamble responsibly. To be honest, this is one of the few good things I like about my country's government. They don't persecute gambling; they let people make their own choices.

can social media influencers really not be regulated

If there is no legal mistake or if the promotion of gambling is done without breaking any law, then that company or person can continue to promote gambling. A few days ago, I saw a news that even though gambling is illegal in some countries, gambling is widely promoted online or on social media in those countries and the government of their country does not take strong action on this issue. However, if a person continues to promote gambling without breaking the law, then he can definitely promote it.
