The thing is, so many people are now involved in gambling and so many influencers on social media are promoting gambling sites that it is really difficult to control. Even if influencers can be controlled somehow, gambling advertising will never completely stop from social media. Because then gambling sites will automatically start advertising in social media videos, which we still see. In many cases, these are beyond our control. So instead of trying to control what we can't really control, since we can control our mindset, we should participate in gambling responsibly and never bet outside our designated budget.
You are right, there is little to nothing that can be done about the promotions in gambling that are being made it's left for the gambler to exercise self control by avoiding ads if they are triggers. We cannot really control this all what you can do is to have a different mindset about gambling and being responsible should always be your motive.

They should be regulated of course. The thing with influencers is that they will shill anything without considering the effect or impact it has on their audience as long as they get paid. Most of the influencers promoting gambling don't even gamble so they just lead their followers on. What's even worse is that they even promote platforms that have proven to be untrustworthy in the industry especially among gamblers and bettors. So yes, they should be regulated too and need to always disclose they're being paid.

Gambling ads will be very very hard to be completely regulated or stopped.. Especially on social media.. That is why having personal discipline and to be responsible with gambling is very important.. But it is good for influencers to be careful too, because many people just use to blindly trust and follow their recommendations..

Regulated? Yes. Banned? No. I think there could be regulations at bare minimum, which is a fact that only legal casinos should be able to do it, and any illegal casino should not get any ads and if they do, then whoever did their ads should be punished with a fine.
They have to be regulated, money is big in regulation and that the government can take that money into taxes from them. Banning them means losing a source of money for them and at the same time these influencers will also lose that outlet to make more money. That's why for them to have a win win situation, they have to both benefit from it but with a regulation to balance things and still have control in it.

Some influencers do include that they are getting paid to promote the particular casino they are promoting, but this is always in writing and not in the actual video, what they do is include in the video caption, in a manner that most of those who are watching the video won't even know, they include there that they are paid to promote the casino and that those interested in playing on the casino should perform a due diligence before deciding so as they won't be held responsible for any loss resulting from the video or it's content. This is a full disclaimer and the streamers or influencers are mostly always careful enough to have this disclaimer in a position where most won't read it, and coupled with the fact that many people don't also read. So going by this, I would agree they influencers should be more regulated.

So going by this, I would agree they influencers should be more regulated. It's just recently. I could still remember sometime between the last 1-3 years when tons of influencers were making viral posts watermarked with stake logo and some details about them but they never really disclosed they were being paid to do so. It's only recently that X started making it compulsory for anyone getting paid to publicly disclose that I see them using the "paid partnership" flair. It's not just on X. The reason why they disclose in recent times is because not disclosing with get you in trouble now compared to 3 to 5 years ago when you can get away without disclosing

Exactly, for people who try to stop ads in social media, they will only waste their time. I already try to report many ads that appear in my account, but advertiser not use their own website to advertise, but they use 3rd party, this is the problem, 3rd party will always change the URL to redirect to their customer, so the ads can always appear back to user. i agree, us as their target must be careful with any ads that appear in our account, because a lot of fake/scam gambling ads can appear to our account.

Banning them from posting gambling ads should be the most appropriate for me because there are kids who are exposed to social media who visit different sites and get attracted by the ads they see post since they can't be limited I think putting a total stop to it will go a long way instead of tasking them there by giving them to go ahead to keep posting ads the way they like. The government is already benefiting from casino companies they shouldn't focus on money and nit think about the well being of the people.

We cannot really control this all what you can do is to have a different mindset about gambling and being responsible should always be your motive.
If they actually want to regulate it, they can. Social media will have no option but to control the type of ads shown to a certain geographical area, and if they fail to follow this, they might be face with sanction from the government of that region. Let's say America bans gambling, or makes it so that any gambling promotion in the social media space won't be tolerated. If they do, they will face issues; if they ignore it and continue to push it, they might face sanctions or even have the platform banned from that country. It is possible to regulate it, but currently there is no real incentive for them to do so.

I get the fear of kids seeing gambling content online, but I believe it's better managed than banned. Anyone promoting gambling should only be allowed to promote legal and regulated gambling facilities and should include a warning about the risks associated with gambling. Platforms should also have age restrictions and penalize users targeting minors. While the complete ban might seem like a good idea. It could push promotions to alternative. less transparent avenues. Strict guidelines may ensure that those who are sensitive. Are well covered while ensuring that governments maintain their oversight and accountability.

I think this needs to be regulated too because most of the problems we have with gambling today started with gambling ads, there are lots of people that get ads of gambling on their phone that don't even need it, some are even under age kids and they end up seeing adverts. If they see social media influencers they know running these ads this makes them want to give gambling a try but everything is just based on a lie. Most of these gambling contents presents gambling in a way that's not true, they act as though losing is impossible.

It is actually difficult to eliminate gambling advertisements on our own cell phones, this is like a thing that is no longer strange even I think that on all cell phones there must be gambling advertisements even with those who are pro-gambling such as religious leaders, governments or others who use cell phones. And with minors who are currently accustomed to using cell phones, there is a high probability that they will see gambling advertisements. I agree with what you said, for example, if a child has an idol and the idolized one advertises gambling, it could be that the child has a desire to try it.
