That sounds good, I hope you won't relent in doing so, as the market is providing you with the opportunity to invest in Bitcoin at a discount price.

I will advise you to focus your mind on long term, not the short term, just in case Bitcoin depreciates more than you expected. Visualize the whole market scenario as an opportunity to buy more Bitcoin through DCA. Don't forget to always do that with your spare money

If you have enough money you can put in more than half if your capital into Bitcoin n less than 0% into altcoins like ethereuem, xpr or near, this are the only altcoins that you should risk low amount of your capital into, but your main portfolio when it comes to crypto should  focused on Bitcoin in other to lower your risks in the end.

Bitcoin (BTC) should be the first one, but since we're in the altcoins section, that isn't the right answer. As someone who has been in the industry for about seven years, I suggest you go to large-cap coins or tokens, such as Ethereum (ETH), BNB (BNB), or Solana (SOL). When you feel those coins aren't worth it because their potential price appreciation isn't significant, you can look at coins or tokens in the same category with lower market capitalization.

If it is long term, consider holding bitcoin...
Apart from bitcoin, some of the top 10 coins can still give you what you want in the long run. Like;
Ethereum; but I don't fully recommend this,
BNB is good,
Sol,
Xrp,
Are good options to hold in a long term bases.
But if you do not have alot of experience, go for bitcoin because it's on a discount now.

As a newbie, why do you care so many about everyone when you are looking for a good coin for people to buy and hold.
We all have our different choices and looking for a good coin for everyone is something we need to think about if actually people would want to hold the coin. There are so many altcoins in the market and there are more of bad projects than the good ones that are available with a low chances of investors getting rich quickly.

As a beginner I will advice you to hold bitcoin to be very dare to you.

Because is safer to invest in, because you will probably have the opportunity to have a coin that has a bright future, and bitcoin wouldn’t stress you as long as you have a discretionary income to keep buying and investing into bitcoin that has a good future.

Bitcoin is a more sustainable cryptocurrency that you will have some percentage of a guaranteed profit as long as you keep investing in a regular basis.

Automatically there's no other coin like Bitcoin which is better to hold for long time. The other alts is just a total distraction and good for those to be traded immediately because its hard to trust other coin or token nowadays.

If some people says that there are top coins on the market which is also a good coin to choose. The problem is most of those coins are just following how Bitcoin move, try to see for yourself if Bitcoin dumps majority of alts follow that movement, same situation will happen when market pumps. So in that current situation happening that shows us Bitcoin is the only coin best to hold and not the other one out there.

Moreover, owning Atcoin at the current moment is not so appropriate, all markets show a decline in the past few weeks so it is not certain if someone wants to buy Altcoin, only Buying Bitcoin is much better than other coins because it is the safest thing for everyone.

If your question is for a few hundred dollars, I'd say you can buy any coin. Beginners usually have luck, but don't expect miracles and take your money when the coin doubles or triples.
Of the altcoins, I'd recommend buying Ethereum, as it's the most fundamental of all the others.

All these that you've mentioned are on Bitcoin. Experts recommend that beginners hold or invest in Bitcoin first, read its whitepaper, and learn who the creator is and why he created it. After understanding all of these, they will understand the whole concept of cryptocurrency. You never replace the original one with the alternative.

A hedging coin = Bitcoin

A RWA coin = Canton.

A smart contract coin = eth.

Those coins have quite strong fundamental. However, the weakest one is ethereum because it's a not profit organization and it has pretty big inflation. So i think it's becoming the least choice for investment purpose.

The rest of coins like Bitcoin and Canton have been massively adopted and used by so many entities. That's why those coins are worthy for long term.

And why canton exactly? They are just trying to digitize the existing financial system. That's far from revolutionary tech, when they aren't creating anything new to replace existing tech with.

And about ETH being non-profit organization, are you trying to argue that bitcoin or Canton would be for-profit organizations? Because they are not.
Eth is probably dropping because we can't calculate how much mining of it costs, and stakers of it can just sell with any price they like. And we have yet not found what's the bottom for that is. Also, it's not practical for any coin to cost too much, as it's should be affordable to use.

And how come ETH has "big inflation", when in both Canton and ETH, inflation / deflatonary rate depends on the network activity?

You can't go wrong with bitcoin though.

Bitcoin of course. There isn't a denying that people should always be holding bitcoin, even if you have been in this market for 10 years, you should be holding as much bitcoin as you can. I am not saying never have alts, of course there are good cases where you could have alts, but there is no case where you should have no bitcoin, you should always have some bitcoin.

I would say that the best thing we can do right now, would be making sure that we are dealing with something that would be nice to handle on the long run with bitcoin, because the risk is minimal with it.

I agree for solana, if it goes lower than that. I'd like to buy as well but right now, my eyes are not on it yet.

We're just in the half of the year and I think a lot of things can still happen for the most in the market before the year end.

Beginners should look at bitcoin first to not mess with their money and see how it recovers once the bear ends.
