That is a problem that a country which is rich in natural resources and then they've allowed foreign investors and businessmen to come to them. The necessity for these investors to get their natural resources will rotate to their business and it comes with a hefty fee. The profit is high from these and yet, it is the people that suffers from that innovation and business deals. There's little to no return to the locals who are near in the exploited area that's being dug for their natural resources. Like now, the EVs are becoming more and the materials need to create battery is important through mining the components of it in vast lands.

There is nothing wrong in foreign investors having interest on your natural resources because as a nation, you need foreign investment, most countries have foreign minister and ambassadors, they all work together to market the country to other people. However, it becomes a problem to me when they try to sell the resources to a particular country or groups because of behind deal that has already been seal before the public was later concluded and that gives room for massive corruption and public looting.

The oil barrels produced in Nigeria, the government has borrowed money from the foreign companies that are extracting oil here, so everyday that the government are extracting some barrels of oil, there is a percentage that goes to them, which shorting the amount the government makes in a day. As of that's the worst, the crude oil are not refined in Nigeria as the government doesn't have one working refinery. They sell this crude oil at cheap rate to other countries and rebuy at high price to use the refined oil for motorcycle and others.

If they explain how useless some government are, you will never understand them and I think my government are the worst if you compare them to other countries.

Situations like Nigeria, having the resource is somehow worse than not having it. The countries that have oil are underperforming on virtually every human development indicator when compared to those that do not have oil.

There is no country in this planet Earth that does not suffer scarcity, every country has is own problems of scarcity. It is now left for the government to control and manage it. If our government will live beribing and corruption and focus on how to solve the problems of scarcity, things will not get worse as it is right now. Every government has what it takes to make things easier and lesser for every citizen, so, they need to step up and do the right thing, so that every citizen's will benefit and enjoy the good of the land.

So, mostly all developing country be in a weak bargaining position than multinational company, these company can choose and have so many choice around the world for investment, whereas government of developing or under developing country need capital, technology and foreign exchange for domestic development. When a country dominated by corrupt government and weak institution, every decision will have laden with personal or group interests. Government without accountability will produce bad negotiation, no contract transparation and corruption which in the end cause dependence and continuous debt.  In the hand of good government , foreign investment will fasten development and bring prosperity for its citizen. Without bargaining power or deterrence against investors, negotiations will be detrimental to developing countries. My country also face the same bad bargaining position with Freeport for our gold due to corrupt government, so the investor only leave our people mining residu, we don't get additional benefit or prosperity.

Would it be safe to say that there would be no balance without the poor people? Scarcity happens when the demand exceeds the supply and that could be drawn down to the population of the country. This is the reason why you would see more poor people in underdeveloped countries than developed countries.

This is a system that the government might not be able to stop when certain principles are not in place. Additionally, in a case of war and conflict or natural disasters there is alwasy a high rise of scarcity and deficiencies. So this could be attributed to countries that are prone to this situations or exposures.

The poverty rate in African area is relatively high compared to other countries. There is a lack of natural resources, so the government has to adopt austerity policies and print money, which creates inflation. If a country has an abundance of natural resources, a good government can adopt a strategy to meet basic needs by creating employment. But if there is a lack of natural resources, it will not be possible for the government to meet the basic needs of its citizens. There are some areas in Nigeria where there is no infrastructure for the movement of citizens but there is a vast area of ​​uncultivated land lying idle. It is possible to build a prosperous country by providing basic needs through crop production and providing necessary assistance to local citizens. It is very important to increase the government's allocation for the implementation of these projects and strive to reach the marginal level.

Yep scarcity is universal, only the degree varies, some countries face more and some countries face less. Nigeria or Ghana might be facing more compared to others but that depends there are countries which are in worst condition than the both.

Also it is different situation than scarcity in isolation. Because government creating surplus sounds simple but it requires competence and incentives that most governments structurally don't have and even if they get funds, they will do corruption. Change always comes from the poor when they take control they just have to control their lust otherwise nothing will change.

Scarcity is for every country. The perfect example is the lands of each country; they're all limited, although it depends on the population of the countries. There are vast lands from the bigger countries, and they only have few people per square miles and that's why they're abundant with that. But for the likes of countries like mine, the Philippines. Our lands are very scarce and that's why the rent is so expensive and the spaces are not that much. Considering that many of us are minimum wage earners, we get not the most with our money and only gets the bare minimum.

Eventually resources will run out. What the government needs to do is plan for that. Recycling already helps a lot but it could be better. And not only would it preserve the resources, but advancing recycling technology will lead to cheaper and cheaper resources. Eventually humanity will learn to live with the earth in a symbiotic relationship instead of a parasitic one, like it is now and then we will stop creating a harsher, life-hostile environment for ourselves.

That is how the social structure works, someone has to be at the top then the others work for them but what the government can do is to bring the distance between rich and poor to closer. I am not saying that there should not be even a single homeless person in a country that is impossible task but they can help the 80% of the people to make more money by reducing the tax burden and shift some of them to the rich people.
