I was thinking Scarcity only happen to your country since that's where am experiencing the hardship but studies shows the Scarcity is everywhere and to further prove that, it says any nations without beggars without street survivals and without common crime such nations can be tag no Scarcity nations but no such nations. Currently Ghana is experiencing high rate of suffering because of cost of living, Nigeria is in a threats for the depth of hunger and increase in prices and other parts of nations all going through the same.

This issues of scarcity is has been a major problem in everywhere before I was think that is only a fews countries that it has affected till I begin seeing news about the situation most of the countries are facing, is just that the situations are difference from each others. Like Nigeria now there situation has been very bad, increasing of foods stuffs, hunger and lack of insecurities.

Government needs to increase their capacity to create surplus and available resources to match their scarces effects on people and cost of living.

Government just over looks his responsibility he refuses to create job opportunity for the youths this has reach the level that cost of living wanted to kill the living, and even their advisers that where suppose to be the people that remember are the one make things worse.

The scarcity is everywhere around the world. You can only know about your own country, but it happens everywhere in the world. It’s just that in some countries the situation becomes more obvious because the hardship within the country is very bad. Every country has beggars on the streets. Even well developed countries have beggars on their streets, no matter how developed a country is there will still be beggars on the streets.

You should understand that most of these countries have bad leaders. The government has turned its back on its citizens and doesn’t care about the well being of the people. There is a lack of jobs and opportunities for people to work and survive. So most of these countries need better people to rule them and change the situation of the country.

There are scarcities that are manually induced for political concerns, just like we're facing in my country. We've enough resources that can generate enough electricity for the whole country, but there is poor electricity supply in the country. There are refineries which has been abandoned of which can create jobs for lots of people and make these natural gasses available at a much cheaper prices, but there is scarcity of jobs, fuel is expensive and politicians  export oil and import fuel while we are an oil producing nation, so the politicians induces scarcity by themselves to program the country to function in a certain kind of way to their own advantage.

Anywhere there are corrupt leaders you can only experience hardship that is difficult for government to control for citizens to enjoy what is due for them to enjoy in the country, some government knew that this hardship is coming that will be difficult for some government to control which is what is affecting some countries right now, but if their citizens can rise against corruption in the country it will make their government to start doing what will eliminate inflation and corruption completely.

Seriously I used to think scarcity was just happening in my own country because that’s where I’m feeling the hardship. But from what I’ve read, it’s actually a global thing. There’s no country that doesn’t have beggars, people struggling to survive, and crimes. You can’t point to any nation and say they have zero scarcity because it doesn’t exist.

Right now look at Ghana, cost of living is crazy and people are really suffering. And Nigeria too, we’re dealing with hunger and prices going up every day and insecurity made things worse more in Nigeria. Although It’s not just us, other countries are going through the same. look at South Africa as well they are also trying to send foreigners back to their countries thinking they are the one that do take over their jobs.
What I think govts should do is step up. They need to produce more, create surplus, and make sure resources are available so it doesn’t hit the people this hard. Because right now the cost of living is just too much, must especially for the poor citizens.

If the government has a face to hide, they're going to listen to the call of their citizens to fall off with the corruption that's massively happening. But if the leader and currently sitting one doesn't care for its constituents. Even with the call to step down and to ease the inflation, they won't make sense to the government. That's why there's a need to put these corrupt leaders into shame when all they do is filling their wallets full from people's money and not helping the ones who's making their economy alive and keep it afloat.

This is not true. The reason why there are so many beggars is that most of them are handicapped, some of them come from a poor background, and the remaining ones are lazy people in society. This is the reason why no matter how successful a nation is, beggars will exist in it. I will use China as an example. China has the most employed people and vacancies enough to take more unemployed citizens, yet there are still lots of beggars in the street. Some beggars are used to it. they dont want to work.

There will be rich and poor in every country in the world. Even if a government tries honestly, it will not be able to completely transform its country into a rich country. The governments of some countries try very hard to make their country more developed, but there is no way to say that there are no poor people in that country. There are poor people, but comparatively, the number is very small. However, if the governments try hard to eradicate poverty, especially by properly educating and developing the people of their country, then the overall situation of that country can be comparatively better. Along with the governments, the people of that country also have to gain sufficient awareness.

You're right, scarcity is not just the problem of one country it is a global problem and it differs from one country to another. Human wants and needs in our society are insatiable and the resources available in our society are very limited. The government might not be  able to completely drive scarcity away besides all the steps they've taken to eradicate it still failed, but they should be able to decide how to use the limited resources available  to satisfy as many needs and wants as possible.Also proper management and utilisation of our resources to ensure the economy is not to hard for the people.

OP, aren't you mistaking scarcity with inflation? I'm not an expert about the economy of Africa, but many African countries are suffering from high inflation because of bad fiscal and monetary policies, not because of having scarce resources. High budget deficits and uncontrolled money printing causes inflation and the cost of living grows to the sky. African countries have lots of natural resources and I don't believe that any government of an African country would create artificial scarcity. Maybe the population growth and the limited agricultural sector in Africa causes growing food prices, but this cannot be called scarcity, because nobody is limiting the food supplies.

Generally oil and gas are the major concentration of countries all over there world which is affecting the economy randomly today's mostly the goods and services. The unstable price of fuel is now a major concern every where, and if not giving attention, it will cause more inflation as it is linked to every business.

When there is a shortage of something in the world, such as food, water, gas, etc., it affects not only one country but the entire world. Due to this, people in the country find it difficult to get what they need. This increases poverty and unemployment because the number of people who do business related to these things decreases, due to which people buy less of those things. Due to this, sometimes conflicts can also arise between countries. For example, if there is a shortage of water in a country, it affects health due to the lack of clean water. due to the lack of good food, malnutrition can occur. Poor countries can be more affected by this. That is, if there is a difference in one thing, it can also affect other things. Therefore, all these things should be used in a good way so that any kind of damage can be avoided.

Scarcity and inflation are related but they are not the same thing. A country can have plenty of goods and still have a population that can’t afford them because prices has risen faster than income.

That being said, scarcity can still exist  in some specific sectors. For example supply chain disruption or geopolitical conflicts can temporarily reduce the availability of certain goods which then contributes to higher prices. That is why it is very useful to separate the cause from the result. Inflation often reflect broader monetary and fiscal conditions while scarcity is usually about limitation in supply.

In this regard, a government can only take steps to reduce unemployment, even though achieving 100% welfare is difficult. Utilizing natural resources and improving human resources for their management may be the way to bridge all economic disparities.

100% is not possible as this is not a scripted movie, but a dedicated government can achieve around 1 to 3% reduction in unemployment yearly and this would include eradication of enormous ghost workers and retirement of those due for it, this would immediately free spaces to be occupied by the unemployed labour. Government can launch empowerment schemes to get people upskilled and empower good performing ones to start up something for themselves which can still grow and employ labour.

Good policies that would favour private enterprises should be implemented as well so that businesses can thrive and also employ some good percentage of unemployed people while the government conducts constant audits to ensure the employees are not unfairly treated as some private working conditions are a very big mess.

Government cannot do it all by itself, it needs collaboration of the public and private, even villages who have good representation can mandate that a higher percentage of their people be employed workers to work for government approved contracts going on in their villages. Government can invest into other niches like agriculture and empower farmers to breach the food scarcity and provide employment for a good majority who practice it.

So the first priority for any government is to reduce the rate of poverty by giving fair chances to people by investing in good education , health and technology. This can be achieved by initiate different skill Centers and also it's the duty of public that they should be responsible of learning skills according to current situations so they can be updated for the usage of latest technology. So when a responsible and honest leadership combined with citizen then economy individually moves towards improvements.
