However, in sportbet it's good to make your analysis and research for the sake of knowledge because no knowledge is wasted even though, you didn't win your bet at that time, that knowledge can be useful in your next bet

It is very good to make analysis and research in sport betting before you make any bet, but is it really that helpful? I have been gambling for many years now, I do not see it helpful. But some people see it as fun, they use it to spend some time like a hobby which is highly encouraging if they are not gambling addicts and also if they are not spending money on gambling unnecessarily.

It's not surprising  to me because outcome of bet is all about luck most times  and not your favorite  prediction. Of course  one can actually  pick random games and get a win and someone will waste time checking  stats and all of that and a game with 1.17 odd Will be lost in the accumulation. this is because  the outcome  can't be known  before the game and a lot can happen  during  the cause  of the game I've randomly  picked  game that won several  times and also lost a lot of bet that I took time to pick and look so good not to be lost.

I've had a lot of lucky  win anyway  the one I can really  remember  was a around  2016 when Manchester  united  was playing  a premiere  league  match  against  Huderfield united, Manchester  united  were favorite to win the match so they had a very small odd of about 1.05 odd. and Huderfield was given  30 odd to win I randomly  picked  the underdog which  was Huderfield  and the won the game 0-1 FT it was luck and nothing  else.

Luck is involved in gambling and there is no way to dispute it for a fact that we have been getting losses in spite of giving in many hours of analysis and researching on statistics of teams which informed the betting decisions but the result does not reflect the commitment.

Knowledge is necessary in sports betting but it does not do much in determining the results for loss or win, you've to be lucky to be having accurate picks that leads to winning streaks. At least even though someone must go on a random picked it wouldn't exceed 1-7 games or 5 games with this there would be possibilities for them to win game.

Analysis do help but you must not entirely rely on it but when there is luck then you have chances to win

Gambling is a game of luck but a bit of research and analysis could make it more closer to win than betting blindly. Analysis are not guarantee that the game would win but it gives a better edge to winning than losing.

I would not entirely say I have placed a bet accidentally without full awareness and it won but there was a scenario where I had to try an impossible odds that actually came out a win. It was a parlay and I did not put in a big staking power because of how unsure the game was but it did good.

For me stories like this always reminds people that research can improve decisions, but won't or cannot guarantee victory . Because most times it's luck that will favour such person that just guessed and someone that spend time in analyzing will lose. That's why it's not good to mistake lucky win as an evidence that gambling is a reliable way or means of making money, because the luck of today won't be sane as tomorrow, it can change at anytime

This is an example of gambling is lucky. You can be doing the same thing for over a year and not to have a good outcome from your bets. Gambling is not for everybody and their that are not willing to understand what gambling is capable of doing should better forget everything they intend to do about gambling and look for other things that can give them money like trading and crypto investments. Luck can make people look at you as one of the luckiest man in the world.

Gambling is all about luck, but if your two friends try to repeat the same pattern over and over again, the person who spends time predicting will have more wins than the one who just picks games at random, as long as the bettor knows what he has been looking at before betting every time. Well I literally think somehow who bet randomly have at least some little knowledge of the team he bet on. But if its a single bet could br a lucky bet since in gambling its always 50/50 regarding the team capability in games. But if he had bet on parlay randomly? That would be hard to win at all without even knowing the team at all.

Too bad for some who dig deeper in research cause sometimes we can simply state gambling is all about luck at all.

The truth is that gambing is not something anyone can say that they are certain about, winning is not promised, even with or without analysis nothing changes, I have seen people that are good in analysis lose severally, apart from increasing the chances winning which you had hinted on, there are gamblers that are not Comfortable to play bet if they have not done analysis on the teams to want to bet on and until they do that, they have be convinced, some persons put much effort in gambling so much and that's why some gamblers will tell you that they are confident that there selection will play and there is nothing you will say that will make them shake unless they lose at the end.

I don't have any such accidental wins but I do believe that sports betting does involve some skill.
Obviously luck plays a role too, especially with casino games its more about the luck but with sports betting and card games, there is skill involved too.
After all, people can do their research and analysis on past performance of a team, weather conditions, location of the game etc... and bet based on their analysis.

With all the odds present, there will always be that chance of a person losing even if the odds are on their favor. That's the epitome and exact nature of gambling- if a result is guaranteed, then that won't be gambling because there is absolutely nothing to risk for.

While this may be the case for your friend, his efforts are still not in vain. Statistically speaking, that friend who did his research has the higher chance of winning on his subsequent games compared to the person who randomly chose a team and won purely on luck.

It is actually almost the same with your friend. I randomly picked a team without even knowing their background, etc. Worse, I do not even play that sport (ex: football) and I just saw that the team emblem/sigil looked really cool. Lo and behold- I won $100 out of my $20 bet and that definitely made my entire week!

Reading your post reminded me of an incident from the beginning of my gambling career. Where I had deposited some money and when I was losing money and had only one more bet, I bet $0.10 and won 0.10×1000. That was my biggest win. After that, I gambled occasionally but I never won 1000 times the amount. But that huge win didn't make me greedy and I still gamble in a controlled manner.

Your friend just had his lucky day and the winning came because he must have picked the best teams and got lucky for them to have won accordingly but that doesn't mean you should depend on random picks to select the games you would bet because you can never be lucky all the time. It has happened to me on several occasions as well in playing sportsbet that I just have to go randomly to pick some selected matches and place a bet, even though the selection I made on parley does not exceed 3 to 5 games, and fortunately enough, I won, sometimes the research or analysis will make even complicate issues because it's all depends on the market we are picking from the particular game we are considering that determines if we may win or lose it.
