Kulikuli business is a very good business if you have the money that you can use to start the business and make it stand out. There is a Kulikuli that I am buying from a store in my town, it is made in Niger state. It is well packaged and it will belongs to a rich person I think because of how it is packaged and sold beyond their Niger.
It is Akara business that people are taking about most and leave the Kulikuli part, why some people include it. That should not come out from a First Lady's mouth. There is no packaging about it. I have not seen it modernized like Kulikuli business.
If you listen to her, she is saying they are giving grants to people to start a business. But the kind of business she said like Akara is not good. She should not have even mention any business as an example.
The grant that they will give can not even start up a large Kulikuli business, it will be a small scale one that may not really be profitable like having it in a big set up.
But people should not underlook any business. A business that you think is done by people that are not rich can be modernized by a good business person and make huge money from it if he has the capital to do it.

If that kulikuli and akara business is that lucrative why done don't you make it you preferred option. The only problem affecting Nigeria today is our inability to voice out the truth when it is needed instead we find different ways of covering it just to justify our corrupt practices. It is open and clear that what she said i wrong because I know assuming kulikuli and akara business was that capital generating she and her family would have been the once highly involved in it, so let us hit the nail at the head and stop covering it.

Did you read what I posted at all? Or you just want to quote me and post rubbish. You can see me against akara business in my post, but I added that Kulikuli business can be a good source of income depending on how you set up the business. I added that she is talking about grants, and that the grant can not be enough to set up the kind of Kulikuli that I am talking about. If you do not understand me, you can just post and not quote me. Another thing is if anyone is given grant by the government, the person do not need to use the grant to start akara or Kulikuli business. I think people submit what they want to use money to do before they are given grant.

Well i have seen the trending news regarding the speech made by the First Lady of Nigeria, i am also aware about the poor turnout of things ranging from poor insecurity, economic hardship etc under her husband’s administration but i would want to comment by saying that i feel that the First Lady was misunderstood, she only sighted an example in her speech not like she was saying they should do it, she said that they are doing their part to help savage the economic situation by giving grants to women in other for the women to start certain small scale businesses, she then added that the women shouldn’t have any excuse because there are certain businesses that might not require so much capital to start, that was when she used Akara and Kulikuli as an example, mind you she has spent majority of her life in the Western part of Nigeria, those of them from the West or who have spent time in the West see such business as lucrative, so many poor women have been known to use such business to support their families over the years, that is why she gave that example, the First Lady have provided grants to the women from what i heard this money shared is between 500million to a Billion naira, to me the women should choose their own preferred business and start, they shouldn’t focus on what the First Lady said because it was only an example she made, Tinubu administration has failed no doubt but i don’t really feel we should castigate the First Lady simply because she cited an example, mind you she is not the president, no matter the good decisions she might want to take to help Nigerians will still need approval from the president, hence, Nigerians should know that she is only doing the little she can within her capacity, let Nigerians focus more on voting her husband out come 2027 rather than this because i only see this as a distraction.

I agree with you but the First Lady was only giving an example of low capital businesses which many western women has used to survive for years.Grants to women are better than nothing and she’s not even the president but the backlash is fair though. The economy is too harsh now, food prices alone is killing small businesses. The honest truth is that we need real relief not just example. Frying akara is never a wrong business but we Nigerians deserves something better. You can imagine a graduate receiving 60k-70k as monthly allowance, that’s an abomination.

Yeah he married his replica as a wife because the way he hate this country that's how his wife also hate Nigerians because what she said has justified all the doubt we have been having. I thought the business she was going to mention was something someone would do and raise a lot of money but instead she is telling us to start those business that aboki people use to do, what could anybody do with Kuli Kuli business?, in that business you can even sell for the whole day and you never realize ₦500 and if everybody start the business who will buy from each other's. Even the roasted corn, is something that has a season so that means everybody will remain hunger till the season of corn comes. Them they really wyn us for this country, e remain small for Tinubu wife to say make we enter road they beg, so actually those that wants Tinubu to come back should be ready to be frying akara.

I'm not finding this thread funny because of the anger in me, if no be for see finish, will the first lady make such statement, we no blame them sha, we blame the judiciary and the corruption that has taken over the country judiciary, if not, will the wife of the president come out in the public to say such shit, people are suffering and shey busy making mockery of Nigerians, it is unfortunate that what we are discussing here ends here, it doesn't go anywhere, if not, Nigerians should've reminded her and her clueless husband about this on the election day but because we are in a country where election result are written before the election day that's why she can say anything she likes.
Why Nigeria is in this serious poverty is because her husband that has decided that Nigerians will continue to face poverty until he leaves office, I think that's what gave her the mind to speak in that manner, fuck akara and kulikuli.

You are extremely right my brother, the business na good business no shaking, but if say akara and kulikuli is generating huge amounts of money, I believe all her family members will be involved in it by now. Selling akara and kulikuli is actually a good thing, because it is better than steeling, but from the mouth that the statement comes from, I will consider it to be an insult. To be sincere, we cannot be totally submissive to the government, and finding your own way to survive is actually very important. In my community they are a lots of people involving in the business of akara and kulikuli and belive you me, they are earning a lots of it, especially kulikuli, because those people who are selling kulikuli are also selling the groundnut oil that they generate from it. Every business is all about winning and loosing, including that also. The fact about life is that, there is nothing you will do and it will sound good to others, they will always find a way to mock your sources of income despite your hard work, as long as you are not a politician or a free salary earner. so the best thing is to focus on what you love doing most, as long as you are generating income from it no matter how little it is, because you are looking for stability. Nowadays it is very hard to receive financial support from anyone, they will have nothing to offer and they will be downgrading your work. Never feel bad about how people downgrade or underrate what you do for a living, because you are the only one that will understand and know the importance of what you are doing. wise man said "A bird in the hand is better than thousand in the bush" and also "the devil you've know is better than the angel you've not meet".

I'm not a fan of this administration but I think this time around Nigerians get it wrong. first of all we need to get what she meant at first and then looks into creativity of the business that people are looking down on, first lady oluremi tinubu saids that they will try their positive best to give out 5 billion naira to support women with small scale business such as akara and kulikuli business. She said federal government has been supporting spending billions on women with breast cancer and many critical diseases. If we say we should look into many women that are in akara business, we'll all agree that most of them are earning more than salaries earners, before first lady should talk about it, I know of ladies that started business early this year some of them do invest into car business, some of them have started building, they do pay their children tuition fees all alone without anyone helping them, let's give flowers to who deserves it not all of will be in office. Some have to embrace business no matter how little it is, some time we have to start from scratch, be consistent with the little profits, I know this administration has failed but she speak what people lack many people do look down on small scale business.

That's a clear insult on all Nigerians honestly speaking, because I see no reasons a first lady of a country which is not even in our constitution will come out in public and spill shit about us. Making it look as if we are all hungry which it's obvious they have automatically made everybody a beger and God will judge them for that. A country that is wasting in so much hardship, no good job anywhere, no basics amenities, no security, people die on a daily basis, no nothing to be precise. And all the so called first lady have in stock for us is to go start up some shit kulikuli or akara business, that's is an insult to the core and I'm not finding this funny at all because am seeing on social media how people are making some kind of fun from it. However, this is no joke and the message is clear that Tinubu government has nothing better for we Nigerians even in the next 20 years to come, so it's left for us to determine our stand from now and do what is right else we keep being a slave in the hands of this evil people.
