I am just curious though, when we type the keyword “gambling news,” most of the news we see is about addiction. So if the coverage is mostly negative, then why does gambling still continue to become popular?

Gambling will remain popular until whenever even though the news is all negative, so my own observation will never die out the more people gamble the more popular the casino is, especially when there is a World Cup like this the more promos the casino continues to do, the more people are interested.

Very true. Different people have their own individual expectations from gambling, which happens to influence their decisions. The fact that others are gambling for profits and somehow get addicted on the process doesn't mean others who are merely or have gambling for profit will now become scared or afraid simply because they heard the news about the other folks misfortunes due to their irresponsible gambling. I think negative news are dominating, because people usually dont like to read about how other people get success. People get jealous; but they gladly read how others fail. People still gamble even though they have read about addiction - maybe because after reading an article, they consider to be already wiser, more experienced than "those losers who are addicted". They think that they already better and more safe, thus they easy start gambling.

Each man for himself, in the case of gambling you are on your own, make sure you are gambling for entertainment purposes only because these people or organisation that are providing casinos games are also in to make money too.

It's clearing that they will have better result than you and I that are gamblers, the government don't care either because casinos are playing heavily in taxes than most other businesses in the country.

I feel like gambling is one of those addictions that you can't really make people understand unless they've experienced it themselves. People often think, "What could go wrong if I bet 50 bucks on the weekend when I'm bored?" But they don't consider how it can slowly turn into an addiction. That $50 becomes $500, and before they know it, desperation sets in, often leading to depression.

Do you think that those who are addicted to gambling became addicted to it out of coincidence? This are people who knew about gambling addiction, and they have seen those who were addicted to gambling still they allow themselves to be addicted too. Gambling is something that, once you start it can easily take control of you , and you may start gambling the opposite way if you don't have self control

Gambling will remain popular despite all these gambling addiction news we see online because gambling remains the means of survival for most people. Believe me when I say that out of the 100% of thoss who gamble 70% is gambling for survival or to make money and then explore other things and not for fun or entertainment.

As true as that may be, there'll always be people who will always decide not to gamble safe, either deliberately or unintentionally, and there'll always be those who will be victimized by gambling, not because gambling itself is bad but because they have the wrong narrative and expectation of gambling, which makes them to always choose not to play by the rules of the games. Some people who overlook these negative stories understands that gambling itself is not the problem but the gamblers and the decisions they choose to make, and so they try to make better decisions, while others just go in blindly, repeating the same mistakes with the hope that they will be luckier than the others being victimized.

This example answer the question perfectly well, anything addiction can't stop happening because people are getting addicted on a daily basis and on different things, even when something doesn't look harmful, people will make it to look more harmful by being addicted to it and you the world you are in, people abused everything they got small chance about and instead of it to favour them, it will hurt them and might even cause them some damages. That is why people are to always make sure they do everything in an orderly way and not in excess.

It is just similar to those that smoke, even though it captions that smokers are liable to die young. There are still people that are still smoking, this doesn't stop them from smoking. Despite the negative news, some people still believe that they may eventually end up being lucky one day.
