At this point I agree that chances of an African wining this World Cup is <0.001% but still its worth accolading them for this performance. You are right, we can't really called it moment of of glory when isn't over, until it is, that is when one can be able to decide if one will called it moment of glory or not, although they are really trying their best, as they are putting so much effort to make sure they win they win the World Cup, but just like I said, until its over, one won't be able to predict accurately, as things may turn around and as we also know, football is full of surprises and what one might not expect that is what will happen. It is a great observation to say the least, and it seems the new adopted rules did indeed favor the African continent not like before where the rules where different with fewer qualifying matches and not enough time to build momentum and rhythm.

What's even more beautiful about their performance is having to see some teams like Ivory Coast and Cape Verde become more or less the black horse of this competition with more possibilities to go farther into the round of 16 if I may.

If the teams that made it so far can all make it to the round of 16 by knocking out their opponents, then that's a real victory for all African teams because it matches what Morocco did in their previous 2022 world cup tournament and it shows that football has really grown in Africa and a time will come when it's a possibility to lift the world cup trophy unreservedly.

It is too early to call it a moment of glory for African teams We should wait until we see how they perform in the first round of the knockout phases and see the African teams that are able to make it through to the next stage eliminating other European teams. I am confident that some African teams will be able to do so, teams like Morocco Senegal, Ivory Coast and maybe the South African team, but I have the most confidence in Morocco, they look to be the strongest representatives. If any African country will have a chance to win the competition I think it will be Morocco.

Everyone has his own view about this, but for me, this is a moment of glory for Africa because having 9 teams into the round of 32 is a big achievement, with too many big names wiped out in the early stage, but things were exciting for African teams, with now most chances 2 to 3 having a chance of going into the round of 16.

Having said that, I don't think that you can evaluate the success of African teams just yet. Let's wait and see how many of them reach, for example, the quarterfinals, or even maybe the semifinals (which would be a repeat of Morocco's 2022 achievement), before we can say whether Africa as a continent was successful or not.

It is true that with the change of time, African teams have changed a lot in their game. This is just round of 32 there is still plenty games to be played. Assuming you say this maybe in Round of 16 or in quarter final then maybe I would have said it was actually a moment of glory. This round of 32 is an elimination phases and this is where the main game starts from. One loss and the team will be going back home. This round there is no room for second chances. Is either you win or you loose.

Don't think that many African nations will make it beyond this stage, because they were put with hard nations to play with.

The real test is going to be the round of 32 and future rounds. It's going to be really tough but Imo, the ideal "moment of glory" is going to be if any of the 9 African teams go on to reach the semi finals and and maybe get lucky enough to get to the finals. The reason why there is much appreciation is because of the way numbers that made it out of the group stages, I mean this is the first time although the way the world cup is set up now is quite different from other but even at that these teams have shown the world that they are actually here and they mean business. I understand the fact that you said no team have reached the finals which is quite notable but don't forget that morroco were so closed last time as they made it to the semi finals so who knows maybe this is the tournament.
