Honestly I do not think that religion here is the main problem, because most religions do teach compassion, respect and peace, but people most times has twisted it the other way around to promote division or go after personal interests. So you see religion can become a source of unity instead of conflict, if only the people focus more on how to understand and respect each others belief rather than trying to prove who is right or wrong.

Religion is not a cursed but blessing, it's only the devil that makes men to see religion as a cursed because his intentions for humanity is good. Religion was meant to unite people together and draw them closer to God, but the prince of the world has turned humanity against it Creator, it's only those who don't know the plan and agenda of the devil will see religion as a curse. Religion was meant to be one and not to be divers, but the prince has made people confused about the right religion that's why people see it as a cursed. When you follow the right religion which is Christianity you will know that religion is not a curse.

Nothing concerns the devil, humans are the ones taking it too far. The problem started with trying to convert a person from a different religion to their own religion, if everyone could focus and practice their religion, i believe the world will be more at peace than it is today.

In Nigeria we have a terrorist organization of a particular religion, their aim is to make the country a one religion country, this is what religion has done, and honestly, from a good point of view, religion does seem like a cursed blessing.

Religion is a human distortion of spirituality. They try to explain through dogmas a matter which is still unknown to human beings, and as consequence, they end causing harm to the humanity.

I won't say religions are completely bad, because they can be also helpful for many people in daily life when struggling with different kinds of situations, but there is also the negative aspect of it, which is mainly manipulation of the masses in an attempt to control them.

Religions try to work as a middleman between the individual and God. On the other hand, I believe there shouldn't be middlemen on this relationship.

Religion is not totally bad especially those that don't promote evil. Some religions promote violence and human suffering, which is inhumane. Those that promote peaceful coexistence and equality should be encouraged.

But religious fanaticism has caused more harm than good. The belief that a particular religion is superior to others has caused conflicts that have led to destruction of life and property. I would have to accept that some religions are indeed cursed blessings.

I am no longer a follower of a religious creed. My religion now is humanity.

Religion was never or is never a problem itself but yes people has caused different conflicts on the name of religion , they have tried to blame their own frustrations on the name of religion. Religion always bring peace, compassion and Co existence for the million of people. Violence became the part of religion or was associated with religion from the time when individuals started missusing religious belief for their own politics or their won agendas. The main problems are extremeism and the intolerance that exist in today’s society. Fanticism is dangerous but it should not define religion. There are million of people who are following their religions very peacefully and their also serving the humanity the main problem is extremism.

In my opinion i think the solution is only one thing that can really help even in the real world is to have people live in peace and same as everyone regardless the religion been a tradition worshiper you still need to have respect for each other religion, because everyone has the right choose any religions they might want to put their faith in, honestly the real truth is that religions becomes a glue that holds society together rather than a wedge that drives it apart and that really should even happen as for everyone to just mind themselves and worship what you believe in.

As for religious problem being the root cause of the world problem so far i will say the answer is know because I am fully convinced that there other stronger problem affecting all and the most recognised problem is  corrupt leadership system and greedy mindset of this same leaders.
Although from the little understanding i have seen about religion, I will say its just a confusion tool meant to distraction and conviction just to achieve there corrupt thinking.

I am a Muslim an to me, Calling religion a cursed blessing is a very sensitive debate. The truth is religion teaches people morality and creates a strong bond between everyone. In fact from the beginning of creation to the present, whenever people are in danger, religion has given them peace of mind and hope for survival. This is its real blessing.  But it also has a bad side, the problem starts when people forget the core spiritual teachings of religion and make it a tool for politics or try to show themselves superior to others. So I think the problem is not in the core teachings of religion the problem is how people misinterpret or use it for their own interests.

Humans has turned religion to what it is been used to fight each other, and that's why if anyone come up with a separate definition of what religion mean to them, they don't need to be argued, Muslims and Christians has turned religion into war, sometimes i just ask what could be the problem, is their anything to what we are seeing, but I conclude that it is just individual mindset and a little touch of brainwashing, like some persons are been brainwashed and commanded on what to do, the consequences doesn't mean anything to them because of what they are been told, religion would have been the solution to human problems but unfortunately it's adding to it because of people's beliefs.

Each religion just like the Christian and Muslims, have a holy book which is believed is used to guide as a doctrine for each member to follow and I’m very sure this holy books despite the religion, talk about living in peace , love, harmony amongst people and it is against war, dispute, murder and violence. So I believe if everyone can keep to their doctrines, without trying to counter other people’s beliefs, then we can live in peace.

Over 10,000 religions in the world have teachings best tailored to their followers, some follow Stoic philosophy, like the Buddhas, who preach often of minimalism, the believe of seeking for less than more in this world, as a way to live a fulfilling and happy life. This believe will never be a curse to followers who practice a lifestyle that rule out the high need for consumerism as a way to be happy.

They learn to spend less on unnecessary things, their thoughts and time goes to what matters, including their money. Such religion helps to build the mind of people to accept the things in their control, and go for what they're sure of achieving in life, than hoping for high positions that may never come their way. By doing so the person's soul gets liberated from consistently seeking after irrelevant things for their happiness.

The things we can control are those things within our reach and they are personal things that are easy to control except for power in a designated position, we cant control others. This lack of total control is the reason why some individuals take religion serious without considering the fact that others are entitled to their belief and choice of religion. All what you said are true, most people act just to make religion look bad, meanwhile they are the real cause of what its happening in religion today because, even if the pastors are telling them what its right, they won't want to admit the truth as they are not teaching or preaching to their own way, which is bad and this is the fast way to promote division between Christians, as some will backside while some will do as they think in their heart, which is bad and not advisable for people to involve in such things, rather they should help to promote love, peace and kindness even if some people may decline that.

Religion is just another form of a trap. You won't be able to do some set of things just because your religion forbids it. There's one I heard of that they are not allowed to enter politics because it is a dirty game. Like seriously. It's your fellow human that made it so. I agree with you and religion is another way of making so many persons not to live the life they wanted and is like it is holding you back from doing what you want, exploring too is a problem because we don't agree to this act or practice. Everybody only works with what they are being thought, and we humans we only stick to the way of life we came to meet and changing it is like you are breaking the law. Because I don't understand why someone would tie his or hear head with a cloth and say if they don't that the gods or what ever will be angry with them that it is against their tradition, we humans are suppose to do things differently if the current life style doesn't favor you.

It is a cursed blessing, religion has been used way before now to control the masses and blissful ignorant to condone to certain societal changes and policies. mass killings, crucification, physical violence and state sanctioned torture to social marginalisation and enforcement of religious laws. Religion is the strongest pillar which is still keeping this unity we enjoy in this world together, without religion, we would have stopped enjoying those things for a long time now. The evil people have come to realize this and they are always working towards destroying the peace and unity religion has brought to mankind by trying to infiltrate it based on their selfish interests. Now any religion they see thriving is being labeled and terrorized. Man without chaos can hardly stay for a long time. This is what I've observed after witnessing different scenarios where people ignite conflicts in the absense of any just to bring a rift. This is what has happened to religion and i am not sure if we will survive this ever again.

I don’t think religion itself is a curse. From my perspective, religion was created to bring people together and help them connect with God. It was meant to teach love, peace and more but the problem is how people are using it today. A lot of people don’t even take time to understand their religion. They just follow what they were born into, or what their leaders tell them. So when they see bad things happening in the name of religion, they will quickly ascribe it to the religion of the person is bad.

Some people use religion to cheat others, Some use it to cause division between tribes and countries. Even on Facebook and Twitter, people do fight because of religion everyday. So someone that doesn’t know better will think religion is the cause of all these problems.

I think the issue is not religion itself, the issue is the people practicing it, at times politicians do cause confusion just to put blame on religion. If people actually practice what their religion teaches like  love, honesty, helping others,then religion will be a blessing and not a curse. So I believe religion is not the problem, It’s how we use it that makes it look bad.

Using religion to judge how people behave amongst themselves is not the best approach to actually use to judge that. Most religion looks perfect but the people worshiping in that religion don’t look perfect, meaning that they go around even doing things that are not legally accepted in the religion for any believer of such religion should embark on. So this makes religion not the best to rate unity amongst people. There is humanity before religion, so I think we should rather have that in mind and that should be the perfect example to judge people and not their religion.

Religion is still bringing the peace and and uniting people together. You can decide to create your own religion and have followers that will be your disciples. Many people don't know this but that have been a tool that has been used in the society to create war and crime to the innocent people. Religion is not ghe problem but people seeking for war through religion and killing innocent people that are not following their believe which is totally unethical.
