Religion is not evil, and is not blessing what make it what it will is the individual practicing that Religion, we have some religious fanatics that go extreme all in the name of the Religion mean while they have their own agenda and practice that make them so, those violence we associate with a particular region is because of the actions of those few fanatics and not the general concept of the Religion itself.

Religion is just another form of a trap. You won't be able to do some set of things just because your religion forbids it. There's one I heard of that they are not allowed to enter politics because it is a dirty game. Like seriously. It's your fellow human that made it so. Why not you change it rather than abstaining from what will actually shape your future.

Because most people that actually go into politics find it hard to change the way things are been done there, instead they become influenced with the corrupt pattern that is on and follow the trend and I believe that’s why religions preach against it.

I will not call religion a curse. Every religion advises people in various ways to follow the right path. If people follow their religion properly, then there will definitely be amicable behavior. Religion wasn't meant to be good nor evil. Nevertheless people has made us see religion as a problem to modern society. The society is no longer safe from people who take religion too seriously. Before now, the christian kill anyone serving other gods.  Where religion have to be optional, some have made it a competition, a priority to choose their gods as the superior. Religion is a human distortion of spirituality. They try to explain through dogmas a matter which is still unknown to human beings, and as consequence, they end causing harm to the humanity.

I think if the truth were to be told, I feel that is where this religious practice has taken us to now…people now go around to act foolishly all in the name of religion, which felt it should not be so…from my own perspective religious beliefs are something we need too so much as holy, no matter the type of religion it's best to respect everyone's belief…

Different people see religion and beliefs however they wanna see it, no matter how much you try instill your beliefs and faith or ideas on the next person, you’ll always find a contradiction. I’ve come to understand that in every religion, there’ll always be a particular group that’ll always want to compromise and tweak the laws and beliefs of that religion so it can suit their personal interest. These people could even go as far as forming their own religion out of that particular religion, bearing the same name but with a completely different agenda and mission. Sometimes, these are the part of religion that always appear to be the problem and not religion entirely.

 Who started religion? Why is there even a religion in the first place if it's one God we're serving? For me, the reason why there are several religions is so that people will have a variety to choose from. All these beliefs and religious doctrines we have today were stemmed from one person decided to not follow a particular pattern and felt that a change was needed.
Humans are made to seek answers and question things so when this particular belief isn't doing that, people switch.
 Religion might seem cursed in the sense that overtime, what used to bring relief and contentment will no longer be enough and as such when one begins to question the validity of those sayings, it then looks like the person is trying to spoil the sacredness of the beliefs on which others adhere to.

Religion is one of the reason why some countries are still backward, let me use Nigeria to site example. When I say that Nigeria was supposed to be one of the most developed countries in Africa and in the world at large I know what I am saying.

Nigeria is stagnant today because of the so called religion, now take a look at present government they are causing more harm than good to the country yet large number of Nigerians who are Muslim are still willing and ready to vote President tinubu in the coming 2027 election because he's a Muslim.

Another thing that keep a country stagnant is tribalism, and tribalism is another reason why Nigeria is still the way it is. I will use present tinubu to site example, the Yoruba people have seen that this man called tinubu has no vision for Nigeria and he doesn't have the capacity and the ability to rule Nigeria as a president, yet his tribe the Yoruba people still stood firm by him and  ready and willing to vote him again in the coming election.

Religion is not a curse, it depends fully on humans and how they decide to utilize whatever knowledge they've gotten.

Speaking as a Christian, even my bible plainly teaches how not to use the word of God as an excuse to not treat your family properly, now it depends on me, if I want to take that instruction or not.

Humans are the ones who made things this way, and of course what do you expect, there a different religions all over the earth, they have believes, values, morals and other factors that makes them who they are. So if  two or three different people from different religions comes together,  no matter how reasonable they are, there'll still be a judgemental one, there'll be one who is sentimental, and so many other characteristics we see but it's normal, because no matter how much they try that believe is inbuilt on them, that does not make religion a curse.

I’m not going to lie, but religion is quite a huge problem in the World, I don’t want to be a sentimental individual, but Most especially some religion in the world is quite a problem because they’re the once who want to create cultural diversity, in the sense that this religion supports violent, crime and war, it’s like it’s something that they benefits from, when you look at what is happening in the Middle East, you will understand that a certain nation is always in the news of war and making trouble here and there, this are things that we should possibly be considering when we talk about religion being a curse or blessing.
