You are absolutely right but I want you to remember only few percentage are capable of savings during the inflation season, so in this circumstances it have to be generalised because not everyone can have savings during inflation. Even without inflation, a lot of people are saving not because they had enough for their up keeping but savings is very important for them. Life is not easy for majority people that is why we always hear voice of many, when any time we experience inflation. Before the masses were managing not because they are satisfied but they don't have any other choice.

It is only when you have enough that you will be able to consider saving because the money is insufficient in the first place. It will be more convenient for you to be able to save when you have more than enough because, as I have observed, things have become very expensive and there is not enough money for it to go around and the way things are going. People will find it difficult to save in such a situation, so it is better for us to simply find a way to increase our source of income so that things will improve and you can even save.

Inflation has become such a problem that we have no choice but to accept it. Once we do, we find a way to invest and multiply the money we already have, which is the only way it can improve because I am certain that it will only get worse in the future. But we don't have a choice than to make a decision.

Inflation has become such a problem that we have no choice but to accept it. Once we do, we find a way to invest and multiply the money we already have, which is the only way it can improve because I am certain that it will only get worse in the future. But we don't have a choice than to make a decision.
That's not really a choice to make. What kind of investment provides quick profits? As far as I know, there is no investment where you can invest your money today, and get it back with enough profits tomorrow that you can easily use that money to fight against inflation because now you have more, and if that's not possible, I don't see how a person who only has enough money to be spent on basic needs will use that money for investments, because you can only invest funds that you don't currently need.

If a person earns $100 a month, and have to spend every penny on fulfilling the basic needs of their household and pay the bills, that person cannot invest anything from that amount because as I said, investments don't earn you money quickly, and if you can't afford to have your money stuck in an investment, you can't do it. The only way one can fight against inflation is to try and have multiple sources of income if they can, but most people can't do that because it's not that easy to find multiple sources of income.

You are right. Our goal now should be how to increase income. No matter how hard a person tries, he cannot keep his expenses low. Because with time, responsibilities will increase and family pressure will increase, then expenses will increase. Therefore, if a new source of income cannot be created, then it will be impossible to get financial security in the future. Because inflation or the price of goods will not stop depending on the income of a person. Prices will continue to increase, but if income continues to decrease, it will not be possible to meet the demand even after reducing expenses for a while. And if the financial situation is such that some extra money remains after expenses. Then one should invest in assets that will retain their value in the long term. Or there will be a possibility of increasing the value after a long term. Here, a person will invest in assets according to his convenience. And in this case, he can invest some funds in Bitcoin for the purpose of long-term holding. Because Bitcoin was created mainly to work against the conventional financial system or inflation. So that people can get their financial freedom and security.

I also believe that increasing income is one of the best ways to combat inflation. Because we are facing a higher cost of living every day, while investment don't provide instant returns, as you pointed out.

On top of that, we can cut back on unnecessary expenses and save more.

Investing also help protect against inflation, but it's not an immediate solution . Investing takes time, and no investment can guarantee that you'll make money. So if your current income is only enough to cover your basic needs, increasing your income and keeping your expenses under control should come first.

which makes it more difficult to save, particularly if someone's income is already tight and they have to spend it on living costs. A rise in the price of food, rent, transportation and other necessities makes saving second fiddle. While the more money you have the better off you will be, this is not always the case. I also believe that people should be saving small amounts regularly if at all possible, instead of saving more when they make a significant surplus. The average savings account will offer some peace of mind until the price of everything goes up again.

These steps must indeed be taken by anyone who doesn’t want to be affected by inflation and who wants to not only survive but also continue to thrive as inflation continues to rise.

Having a side job is a solution we can certainly pursue, but it also requires a specific skill set. Therefore, first and foremost, we must continue to expand our knowledge and improve our skills. The more skills we master, the more opportunities we’ll be able to seize.

Using money more effectively is also essential. For example, if we usually prefer ready to eat meals ordered through an app, we can break that habit by choosing to cook for ourselves instead and opting to buy raw ingredients that are cheaper and even healthier and more nutritious.

Economically technical explanations aside, I see people around me and in my country that people just give up to saving. Some people just accepted that they can never buy a good house or a decent car even, so they just think "at least let me enjoy the moment, my youth". Savings lost value with not proper savings management, you have to beat inflation which can be hard sometimes. This, not saving and spending mindset, can be very dangerous for the future. We might see a lot of bad situations. I don't see any solution to inflation in the long run, people will save less and less always.

To deal with inflation the best way is to find additional income because the impact of inflation is that all commodity prices will rise, so expenses will also increase. Fortunately, those who live in rural areas can grow vegetables which helps save on expenses but if they live in the city the best way to increase income is to keep adapting to technological developments, especially since nowadays there are many ways to make money online. So, when facing inflation it's not just investment that's important, but we also need to keep sharpening our skills and keep learning.

Saving during inflation is basically useless because your money will be eaten up by the inflation itself which is why a lot of people during inflation fight it by investing in property, gold, and bitcoin instead of just keeping it in the bank. Basically a combination of extra income plus skills and investments is a more effective approach than relying on just one method when facing inflation.

Inflation will certainly eat away at our savings, but I disagree with the idea that saving is useless during periods of inflation.

Investing can help us deal with inflation, but we should not forget that investment carry risk and return are never guaranteed, especially in the short term. So saving is still important and necessary in most cases, especially having an emergency fund.

So, better approach is to balance saving and investing rather than focusing entirely on one or the other.

1. Savings lose value
Cash in the bank grows slower than prices rise, so it buys less later.

2. Spend now mindset
People buy today because waiting usually means higher prices.

3. Money shifts to other assets
Many move cash into gold, property, or foreign currency to protect value.

4. Less to save
Bills go up faster than wages, so there’s less leftover at month-end.

Why do bank pay back less when inflation gets high? Why they do not increase the pay back percentage with time?
What you people usually do with the money instead of saving it during inflation?

During inflation cost of living increases, and majority of those who earn little amount of money do not talk more of savings, but survival becomes a major concern for the masses. If for instance you are earning like $500 monthly, and maybe you were using $400 for feeding, and other expenditures, if their is inflation, and the level of inflation becomes so high, your $400 monthly expenditure can be doubled which means you need extra source of income for you to meet up, and in a situation where there is no extra source of income, your spending, and feeding pattern has to drop drastically for you to be able to survive, and probably there will be nothing left for you to save money.

For those who earn good money either from their salary or from their businesses, they are also affected, though they will be able to save but their expenses also increases, now in other to sustain their money, they involve themselves in in asset investment that will increase in value over time, they can go into purchasing of landed properties or go into real estate, high yield savings, invest index fund etc, all these attracts the interest of individuals, and investors more than saving their money in the bank.

Having a side job is a solution we can certainly pursue, but it also requires a specific skill set. Therefore, first and foremost, we must continue to expand our knowledge and improve our skills. The more skills we master, the more opportunities we’ll be able to seize.

This is a good point.  We are too focused on the discussion of additional work or additional income but do not pay attention to the quality of ourselves when if we are busy in upgrading ourselves to a better direction should be additional income or additional income outside of work it is still very possible we get.

Many people always want extra income but don't want to upgrade themselves in a better direction that they end up not having any competency to be proud of or as a selling power for them.
Facing inflation is not easy but it can still be done and it all starts with ourselves because we ourselves are responsible for the lives we live. When we just walk in place and make this a form of resignation then we are just waiting for time to erode in inflation which is getting harder and harder to control.

Using money more effectively is also essential. For example, if we usually prefer ready to eat meals ordered through an app, we can break that habit by choosing to cook for ourselves instead and opting to buy raw ingredients that are cheaper and even healthier and more nutritious.
This is also an option because we have to minimize waste as much as possible, shopping online or looking for fast food for now feels very easy but there are additional costs that we have to pay such as in delivery, especially the price is getting higher and higher.
If it is possible as long as we are able to cook ourselves or there are no items that we need to buy this should be postponed. There will be a reason that this is simpler and more efficient in terms of time but this can only happen for those who use time for other things that are more productive may not matter but if the time is used only to be lazy but make this a priority then it should be more minimized when inflation occurs.

It’s true that many people in fact, almost everyone, certainly want to earn extra income. And I believe everyone also wants to expand their own knowledge. But there’s one problem that everyone actually faces: they always put off starting to learn more. Procrastination and a lack of courage to begin are the main obstacles that distinguish those who can move forward from those who cannot. those who are able to overcome this barrier are the ones who will ultimately get ahead. But for those who still can’t get past it, they’ll remain stuck in place, even if they have a thousand well thought out plans and strategies in their heads, none of it will matter if they never actually get started. The same goes for the process of improving personal skills.

It is not only during inflation that saving money seems to be useless. Even when someone has not yet witnessed inflation, saving seems to have no meaning because it is almost certain that inflation will eventually happen. So, the best way is to invest. If you invest, it is possible that your investment will help protect you against inflation because what you invest in now may keep increasing in value, and that can help protect some of your money against inflation. But again, we also need to have some savings that can serve as an emergency fund for us. When we are facing difficulties and do not have money to solve the problem, we are not going to end up selling our investments asset within a short period, especially when our investments may be in a difficult condition. For example, someone who has invested in Bitcoin should not always play with their emergency savings.

In my opinion, there are multiple factors why people save less especially during times of inflation. One main reason is that prices of everyday essential goods like food, utilities, or rent are doubled that most of their income were spent only for it. I remember when I was in high school around 10$ is already a huge amount but today it wouldnt even buy a lot. Another is the mindset of instant gratification people lack of discipline in terms in handling money. They tend to think they deserve to treat themselves when they got their salary without thinking of saving money. Also due to financial illiteracy where people do not know how to handle their money or to invest it.

We might see a lot of bad situations. I don't see any solution to inflation in the long run, people will save less and less always.
I will say that those who loses interest in saving up to achieve what they want are those who are not disciplined. I know that it is difficult to achieve big projects by just saving but with consistency and also increasing one's source of income, it can be achieved in the long run. Those with the mentality of ''let me enjoy myself today'' are people who don't care about the future and it is a dangerous thing to do because as years goes by that is how we are aging and it will get to a time when we will no longer have enough strength to continue working, so someone who didn't save or own any investment is already making a way to painful old age. Life is not guaranteed but that doesn't mean we should not save for the future. Inflation aside, many people are just too lazy and living comfortable in an average lifestyle, they don't even try new things in other to maximise their source of income. Some people have been working under low salary for many years and they are just so relaxed about it hoping that one day the government will make life easy for them which never happens.

When prices keep on shooting up then saving feels useless because your money just loses value and the concept of investing is not easy when you are barely surviving to begin with. Most people can't leave their money locked up for months, they need it now to survive. So they are financially stucked you either save and lose value or spend and survive. earning more money is the only solution but that's not simple for the common man unless of cause you want a job that will stress your body system and then you end up spending the little earnings to treat yourself of illness due to over stressing the body. So it is not that people don't want to save or invest but they mostly don't have the patience to wait because sometimes before the money even hit the account! You might have already spent it emotionally with list of urgent things to pay for.

In reality, if most of your salary is limited to essential expenses, you won't be able to save or invest anywhere.

Inflation causes the prices of all essential commodities to increase, but wages do not, which makes it possible for a person to invest or manage their savings normally when inflation increases.

I think if a person wants to protect himself from inflation in the long term, he should reduce the amount of savings in the bank and invest in reliable places whose value can increase in the long term, but it is better to invest all the investments in different places instead of in one place because it reduces the investment risk. Therefore, a person's proper guidance or plan helps him avoid big losses in the future.

4. Less to save
Bills go up faster than wages, so there’s less leftover at month-end.
No matter how one will want to save, if the bills are high it will be very difficult to do so, and on a normal day it is adviced to invest with discritionary income, and if there is little or no discritionary income how then will one invest?
The best approach is to find more jobs to in addition to your already existing job, because in an economy like this saving is almost impossible with higher inflation and bad economy. But if you get to secure more jobs, your income will become higher thereby giving you space for saving or investments.
It is better you invest than to save in fait so the value of your money will not reduce as a result of inflation.

No matter the amount of money you earn, when inflation is high, you are bound to have lower savings and that's the fact. Having 50 sources of income does not secure your money from inflation because, same way a person who  was earning lower and passing through inflation, a person earning higher also passes through equivalent inflation loss. The problem is that as a salary earner, your monthly or weekly pay is fixed in the midst of dwindling economy. Each month forces you into adjusting your purchasing power to the left and it goes on and on while you're fixed with your salary.

Saving money in the bank is even worse because it is not safe from inflation instead, you face bank charges and losses too while the banks makes more money with your savings leaving you to constant inflation.

Don't think that increasing your income source reduces inflation or saves you from inflation, it remains uniform, you only increase your income to face equal rate of inflation.

You are right. In fact, if a person puts almost all his liquid savings into Bitcoin out of fear of inflation, he can create another type of risk for himself. Imagine, BTC is in a major correction at the same time that he has an emergency. What should he do now? He has to sell the asset that he wanted to hold long-term. Using Bitcoin as an emergency fund is problematic, because during a crisis, Bitcoin itself can also be in extreme downside volatility. And an emergency fund should not be seen as a dip-buying fund. Taking out emergency money and buying Bitcoin because BTC has dropped 25% means taking on additional risk depending on the price. Which is even more damaging financially. Therefore, investing just to stay away from the inflation of fiat currency without proper fund management and understanding your own financial situation can be even more harmful.
