I remember when I was in high school around 10$ is already a huge amount but today it wouldnt even buy a lot.
Inflation is not what someone or group of people should be praying for to happen and those that experienced such know what some community went through to be able to overcome the situation to achieve what they want, if you have experience inflation before, I guess you will know what some government are doing with their funds or budget whenever inflation starts affecting economy and other things in the world because it will make people to save huge amount of funds against next bearish season.

The cost of living keeps getting high and as such, people barely have enough to save at the end of the day. Inflation tends to make individual have little or no savings due to the fluctuation of price of goods in the market, once this happens, people are forced to purchase goods in large quantity for the fear of returning back and the cost has skyrocketed again.
These are major reasons why people do not have that much finances to make savings for themselves, the worst thing is that, as the cost of things is increasing the minimum wages are not also increasing from the government.

No matter how one will want to save, if the bills are high it will be very difficult to do so, and on a normal day it is adviced to invest with discritionary income, and if there is little or no discritionary income how then will one invest?

There is a difference between saving and investing; it’s someone who has enough to sort out bills who will think of investing some of their leftovers in something, some people can still have little money saved for rainny days and still don’t have the one to invest with.

Quote
The best approach is to find more jobs to in addition to your already existing job, because in an economy like this saving is almost impossible with higher inflation and bad economy. But if you get to secure more jobs, your income will become higher thereby giving you space for saving or investments.
It is better you invest than to save in fait so the value of your money will not reduce as a result of inflation.

This is our idea of getting more jobs; it doesn't always work. If the current job the person is working on doesn't give him enough time, it will be hard for such a person to add more jobs to the already existing one. The way things are going, it’s advisable for one to work smart that way you can be able to put up things together and earn from multiple sources.

Finding another job is not really about physical jobs but you can do something as a side hustle that pays better so it means that it could be social media management that allows you to do whatever your job is. That's the only way perhaps you can actually beat the system you're in, you can create streams of income through other things it most not be a physical job.

Obviously, the main reason why people find it difficult to save money during the inflation is due to the high cost of luck living, a lot of things that were purchased for lower prices have become really expensive and Saving has become very difficult. It is even difficult for those that are able to save because as the years goes by money losses it's value and those amounts saved for rainy days no longer becomes tangible enough or sufficient to do what they are supposed to. Saving now isn't going to help as much as making an investment.

It’s just the simple explanation of why people are not able to save much money during inflation. The amount you are earning isnt increasing, and they amount you are spending is increasing, there is no way you will be able to save much again, most of your money will be going into the necessary things which you are suppose to do, and you will find it difficult to save. If their is inflation, and your earnings are increasing, or your sources of income is increasing, then you will be able to balance things, but if your sources of income is not increasing, it’s going to be difficult.

Why do bank pay back less when inflation gets high? Why they do not increase the pay back percentage with time?
So like banks dont automatically increase savings interest rates to match inflation because those rates depend on several factors including central bank policy and the cost of lending, not just inflation itself, so then during periods of high inflation, alot of people prefer to keep only enough cash for emergencies and put the rest into assets they believe can better preserve purchasing power like businesses depending on their financial goals and risk tolerance. If you ask any financial adviser, they will tell you the key is to have your money working for you rather than letting it steadily lose value in a low-interest savings account.

Point is fair that saving does not automatically rise within infation because bank have to follow  policies of Central banks and competition, liquidity and other factors. I do not say that putting money into assets is automatically better than keeping it as savings. Stock, real estate, businesses can preserve or they can also increase the purchasing power .
But they also have risk with them, and they can also lose value over period of time. The right choice is always dependents on person to person financial condition, there is tolerance level and the time.
Always keep some cash accessible for emergencies while putting other money into some sort of productive work, something that is inflation resistance.

Snip

What you people usually do with the money instead of saving it during inflation?
At a time when inflation continues to erode the value of our money, I don't think saving is the right solution, especially for the long term. Because if you save and hold onto your money for ten years, it will certainly lose a lot of value. Therefore, I believe investing that money in good, reliable assets is the most important thing to do. This includes investing in Bitcoin, stocks, property, and other assets.

Essentially, we must find assets that are truly resilient and proven to withstand inflation. That's what should be the primary focus. However, for the short term, such as a year or less, saving is also possible, as long as it's not for more than a year. Your money will eventually feel like it's decreasing due to inflation. So, that's my personal conclusion.

The world has evolved from the ol’ analog world to a digital world, and literally everyone and everything is going digital, and that’s why some people are still pretty much behind the economy, some people are still stuck in the dark while the world is moving to a more brighter future. In today’s world, only those with digital skills are actually able to beat the system, those who are still stuck in the analog world will keep on grinding but it’ll always not be enough, except they decide to step up.

It is common for people to save less during an inflation mostly due to the fact that things become more expensive and in such situation you can't really expect anyone to save much because of the economic situation of the country during that phase and if the cost of living keeps on getting high the situation is only going to get worse in the long run. During an inflation it is difficult to start up an investment and it is also difficult to save as well but if I were to pick between both of them I would go with starting up an investment.

People have less money to save to spend in inflation would be the biggest point to make, its especially obvious when inflation gets to double digits or higher but we recognize large deflation hurts and same too for large inflation.
USA and many countries have had 20% inflation at times, this in effect means during the course of a year people are suffering a 20% pay cut to their wages and rising costs adjusting far quicker then they can earn the money.

The average person doesnt have 20% of their worth to lose, they are forced into second jobs or anything possible to make ends meet.   The average joe, member of the population has most of their wealth coming from wages.  The wealthy have assets and income perhaps spread across the world but the workers are tied to their local economy most often and very much tied to the lumpy unadjusted wages losing value vs inflation.

Investing also help protect against inflation, but it's not an immediate solution . Investing takes time, and no investment can guarantee that you'll make money. So if your current income is only enough to cover your basic needs, increasing your income and keeping your expenses under control should come first.
It's one thing to wait a long time, and quite another to end up with no profit at all.

A few months ago, I decided to put together an investment portfolio of a couple dozen Russian stocks. I wanted to experiment and see what would happen. And the result? The results weren't as rosy as I'd hoped. After a couple of months, my deposit had dropped by almost 15%, and this trend continued.

Therefore, you have to be very careful with investing. It's a highly sensitive activity.

The effect of inflation is not limited to increasing the price of goods, it also devalues your funds. People who understand the issue of depreciation never keep excess fiat savings, they always invest for the long term.

Most investors invest in Bitcoin because they know that Bitcoin is likely to be more expensive in the future. The effect of inflation falls on your daily life, so your purchasing power decreases and you become defensive in investing. Inflation is deliberately created in the modern social system and state structure. The government borrows from banks to meet the state's expenses and prints excess fiat, resulting in inflation.

Due to the government's weak monetary policy, people's financial condition is deteriorating and the quality of life is getting poor. To get rid of this situation, individual awareness needs to be increased and everyone needs to build a separate financial foundation. By accumulation and holding Bitcoin on a regular basis, a wise investor can build a strong financial foundation.

Anything can happen because of inflation. as it drives up the cost of goods and makes investing more difficult—limiting potential returns since the real value of an asset often remains stagnant despite price increases. However, certain investment strategies remain viable, such as investing in land; land offers long-term appreciation potential, is durable, and can generate income through cultivation. In contrast, simply saving money causes funds to accumulate while inflation erodes their purchasing power; furthermore, inflation drives up the cost of daily necessities, making it very difficult to save when the prices of goods and services rise.

But the question is where exactly to invest. Of course, a bad outcome can haunt any investment, but there are still more and less risky options. Where you invested seems to me to be an extremely risky and unjustified decision, considering both the very nature of this state and the fact that its economy is clearly not in its prime right now. That is why I am not surprised by your loss, though I do sympathize that it turned out this way. But you wrote yourself that investing is "a highly sensitive activity". Therefore, the approach to it should be appropriate if you value your money.

Well we have to understand that savings accounts are not for growing wealth or making someone rich. They are meant to offer convenience, keeping your money safe in the bank where you can easily retrieve it whenever you want to. For that reason they won't pay high interest it will always remain low until folks start moving their money to other forms of savings. That's when most banks tend to increase interest rates.
That said when fiat currency loses value very fast, holding your money in the bank means you will constantly lose buying power every single day. That's why it's good to understand the difference between investments and savings one either appreciates or depreciates your money due to volatility, while the other only depreciates your money due to inflation. Fortunately when dealing with fiat, it's better to buy in bulk because if you calculate the price of buying in small quantities over time, you will see how much you lose. That's all...

Why should we choose one or the other instead of both? Saving give us a safety net and help maintain financial stability, while investing can help us deal with inflation in the long run.

Besides, as you said, high inflation keeps pushing up the cost of living, and things will only get harder. So where are we supposed to get the money to save or invest? So, increasing our income is more important when prices keep rising. Once our income is high enough, we can save and invest.

Well, that's something to be expected. If there's an inflationary economic system, everything has a high cost of living, and people prioritize securing supplies to survive. Guaranteeing basic necessities is paramount.

The ability to save diminishes or disappears completely in some particular economies. The most efficient way to combat this is by obtaining BTC, either by accumulating it or using the DCA method.

Saving isn't very convenient in an inflationary economy because the local fiat currency is constantly devalued, and the ability to obtain money also decreases. The workforce may be larger, but with lower pay.

During inflation the people are mindful of the amount they earn and how well they can use it to sustain their family since they will be spending more on things due to the increase of goods, cost of rent and transportation. They have to think about what they will eat before thinking about savings but it is those who have extra source og income wne those who earn good amount of money that can afford to save after making double expenses due to the economy.
